It was a sunny day at ES with nothing in particular happening. Well, that is before the ninja association club starts its club activities. “Eeeekk-!? Chief, please don't scare me like that” Mayoi screams, “I'm sorry, Mayoi-dono. But I was just so excited, today we are going to do club activities, ninja activities!” Shinobu replies happily. That's right, the ninja association didn't had a lot of activities before (as Shinobu was the only member) but as now Mayoi became a member too Shinobu is more than excited to do ninja training with her.
As today is their first ninja training together Shinobu thought of doing something they both are familiar with, but of course, add a little of ninja training in it, but Shinobu won't reveal their activity to Mayoi, “It's a surprise” he says. Mayoi can only wait while her cute chief takes her to the designated place of their training.
“We've arrived!“ Shinobu says. He gently squishes Mayoi's hand for her to know they're here now, although she didn't think it would be in the Seishoukan apartments, place where they live now, “How come we came here chief?... Ah!!! I'm not doubting your decision on this place, please don't take my words wrong!!” Mayoi shakes her head ashamed of herself to even think of doubting her beloved chief, but as expected he replies the complete oposite of what Mayoi thinks, “No no, Mayoi-dono, it's normal you would ask me on why this place for our first ninja training. Well, it's really simple, as this is our first training I choose a place you are familiar with, this for not overwhelming you too much, Mayoi-dono...” he replies with a big adoring smile on his face.
Mayoi blushes thinking about how her cute Shinobu-kyun thought of this for herself, she really does love him so much...
“You didn't need to do that for me, chief...” Mayoi says shyly. “But Mayoi-dono, I know you can't stand crowds and open places, so I want you to be comfortable in the place we're going to train.” replies Shinobu again, not letting Mayoi say anything more.
“Well, enough chit-chat, now it's time for the ninja training!! Nin Nin!”
A little while later, Mayoi is hiding in a really tight space where only a few people could enter, thinking about the rules Shinobu explained to her. “As this is our first ninja training together I wanted to make it easier for you Mayoi-dono, so we're playing a ninja hide and seek! The rules are simple, it's just like a normal hide and seek but with our ninja abilities! Ninjas should be invisible for the naked eye so this is a good and fun type of training, hehe.” Shinobu says, meanwhile Mayoi still thinks she doesn't have any ninja abilities at all but she indeed is good at hiding so it shouldn't be a problem. They talk a bit more about the training and the rules when finally Shinobu starts the activity. “I'm gonna count until fifteen, okay? A ninja should be always fast in their feet!” Shinobu says while it is visible, he can't contain his excitement for this activity, “Huh?! But chief, that's very little time... Please–” Mayoi says surprised of the little time given for her to hide, yet she hears Shinobu start counting and starts running as fast as she can.
So now she's here, worrying she will be founded, worried it's a very visible spot, that chief will be disappointed, that she doesn't have those ninja abilities her chief praises her so much for having.
As time passes she starts noticing that Shinobu hasn't appeared anywhere, nor can she hear him anywhere near where she is hidden. She starts overthinking, thinking foul of herself, that chief just brought her there to leave her as the pest she is, someone that doesn't deserve the love of no one and is better left in the shadows...
Then some tiny arms come touch her, “HAHA! At last I found you, Mayoi-dono. It took me a long while finding yo–” Shinobu stops rambling when he notices Mayoi's tears. "Oh! Chief don't mind me, please, it's nothing. You don't need to worry for someone as disgusting as me." Mayoi pushes away Shinobu.
“Don't say that stuff about yourself, Mayoi-dono, you're really important for a lot of people, for your unit mates in ALKALOID, for all of those kohais you helped in Yumenosaki with your advice, for me.. you were my first member in the ninja association and I am more happy that you're sharing these moments with me, as a club, as friends, as equals. So please don't think you're disgusting and other mean stuff, you're so kind, Mayoi-dono, and no matter how many times you say that to yourself your actions says otherwise.” Shinobu says to her in a calming, endearing way that left Mayoi speechless, it's the first time someone tells her something like this. She starts crying again, even harder than before, “Waaahh!! Mayoi-dono, please don't cry more... Sorry if I said anything wrong...” Shinobu replies worried.
She just gets closer to him and hugs him, it was a little unexpected but not denied, the purple haired boy embraces her, giving her the comfort she longed for. Mayoi is eternally grateful for meeting a boy like him, someone cute, strong, reliable and very kind like her precious Shinobu-kyun.
After a little while Mayoi lets go of the hug and apologizes to Shinobu, “Chief, I'm so sorry the training ended up like this, please accept my apologies.” She says, “No, it's okay, Mayoi-dono. I didn't thought it would take me so much time finding you, your ninja arts are truly incredible!” Shinobu compliments her.
As it is getting late they decided to return to the apartments and leave their ninja training for another day, thought returning home something unexpected happened. Mayoi and Shinobu were packing up the club stuff such as ninja stars and other artifacts. When they finished, Shinobu stopped Mayoi from leaving just yet, “Ehmm, eh... Ma-Mayoi-dono.. can I..” Shinobu can't even finish the sentence, he's bright red as a tomato, “Um? You want to tell me something, chief?” Mayoi asks, but before she can even think of other thing, Shinobu answers, “CAN I HOLD YOUR HAND WHILE RETURNING TO SEISHUKAN?” he unconsciously shouted. Mayoi was surprised, then as her head processed what she just heard from Shinobu, she was bright red too, “AAHH! EHM, IF YOU DON'T MIND HOLDING THE HAND OF SOMEONE AS FOUL AS ME– OH NO, I'M SORRY, I SHOULDN'T HAVE SAID THAT–” she can't finish her sentence when she feels a warm hand gripping hers, “Eh, thank you... Mayoi-dono..” Shinobu says bashfully, it's very noticeable that the boy is very shy too, but well, the two of them happily return to their rooms, feeling more than happy to being with each other. ♡
