“Ok so I lied, we're watching the op first. Also the video will pause when you start talking.”
“Why lie?”
“Shut up Mega Deth”
The opening starts with some music bars moving past the camera as it turns to see even more bars all move towards the background creating a bright light as they vanish. Afterwards six coloured sets of music bars appear one by one with people projected onto them; a blue set with Tsubasa, a red set with Kanade, a green set with Miku, a pink set with Ryōko and an orange set with Hibiki. A flash of Ryōko operating her terminal appears before it switches to some rocky pillars under a starry sky with Hibiki standing on the tallest pillar.
Both Hibiki and Chris turned bright red and hid their faces in their hands as Hibiki was shown on screen, while Miku’s gaze intensified.
“WHY AM I NAKED!?”
“Don’t ask me, I didn’t make this. And besides, the real question is: Why are you glowing?”

As the lyrics start it we are given a close up of Hibiki’s mouth singing along before cutting back to see wings sprout from her back and she flies away.
“Wait, why did Hibiki grow wings dess?”
“It’s probably symbolism of some kind, Kiri-chan.”
The camera focuses on the sky as before a white silhouette of Hibiki’s Gungnir appears and Hibiki fades into the left side. As she opens her eyes the camera zooms into them and reveals the title card.
Boku no koe wa kikoete imasu ka? please tell me…
The screen cuts to a shot of Miku alone as she reaches to the sky during a meteor shower,
“Why is Miku by herself?” Hibiki asked. Chris responded “If this is supposed to be the opening-”
“It is.”
“-Then this will actually happen or it’s representing something, likely regarding Miku.”
Everyone stared at her.
“What?”
“You don’t really seem like the type.”
“I’m just surprised your… keeper? I’m going with keeper. Is letting you watch anime”
“Why would someone do that?” Hibiki worriedly asked
Chris scowled at where Jacc’s voice came from last “Doesn't matter let's continue.”
Kotae no nai kyokō no sora mezashi fly far away
before showing Tsubasa grab a microphone sitting next to a photo of her and Kanade before she goes on stage for a concert.
Kanade wordlessly put a hand on Tsubasa’s thigh.

The second division headquarters is shown with Sakuya, Aoi, Ryōko, Ogawa and Genjuro inside before showing Chris upside down in front of a violin and some piano keys then the screen shows her in the same position but upright as she uncurls, yells and reaches towards the light.
Chris blushes even harder upon her own appearance and starts yelling, “WHY IS EVERYONE BEING SHOWN NAKED!?”
“I wish I had an answer to that.”
Jacc’s muttering was barely audible to those in the room.
Chris’s outburst completely covered her reaction to the instruments ‘Mother, Father.’
Seigyo dekinai…shitakunai yo
Hibiki runs past Miku who moves backwards towards dark mist,
Hibiki grabbed Miku’s hand as everyone thought 'That's definitely symbolic.’
Hajimete shiru kankaku
before cutting to them eating at The Flower and showing Hibiki wearing the Gungnir,
Tsubasa suddenly stood up and yelled out “WHAT! HOW DOES TACHIBANA HAVE THE GUNGNIR!?”
“Yeah! That's Maria’s Relic dess!”
“No it's my Relic, unless there's two…”
Serena spoke up “Um I’ve been thinking… How do you two have Relics in the first place? Do you think we’ve been lied to?”
“No, I think the likely answer is that our groups aren't aware that the others have the necessary technology or knowledge to create them.” Maria responded.
“Erm.” As the conversation winded down a very confused Miku started it back up, “What are you all talking about?” and the (current) wielders remembered she and Hibiki were in the room, and looking very lost with what they were talking about, but before anyone could respond, “I’m just going to say that Ryōko will give a much better explanation than any of you could give in episode 2, so just wait until then.”
Flashing images of the Durandal, Finé, a young Chris watching some flames, Chris wearing the Nehushtan Armour, the Nehushtan by itself, Kuriyo, Yumi and Shiori just standing there and then a close up of Chris’s face while she’s wearing the Nehushtan are then shown.
Chris flinched at the appearance of Finé and then froze when she was shown wearing the Nehushtan as Tsubasa looked towards her with suspicion and Kanade shocked confusion before they turned back to the screen.

It then shows Tsubasa killing some Noise before fading to her singing in a concert.
Miku watched the Noise get cut down stunned silent while Hibiki…
“So it was real.”

Then Tsubasa and Hibiki are shown fighting even more Noise,
Bokura kitto, umareta hi kara deaeru hi wo zutto sagashitetanda
before it shows them standing in front of an image of Kanade.
Chris groaned.

Tomo ni kanadeta kiseki ten ni mau yo
It then returns to them killing a giant Noise before cutting to Hibiki and Miku holding hands under the night sky.
“Are me and Miku going to watch a meteor shower?!”.
Miku put her hand on her “I don’t think that's the most important thing to discuss here.”
“Like how you ended up with, I’m assuming, Kanade’s Gungnir.” Tsubasa continued.
“What's the issue with her having my Relic?”
“Because it disintegrated, when you died. There was nothing left.” Kanade held Tsubasa’s hand to try to calm her.
“Maybe it’s got something to do with the shards I got hit with during the Zwei Wing concert?”
“Shards?” Maria asked.
Hibiki looked up in thought, “Yeah. The doctors said they couldn't remove them all because they were too close to my heart.”
“Maybe they are shards of Kanade’s Gear. DESS!”
“I don't remember the state of Kanade’s Gear at the time but it was probably broken.” Tsubasa added, leaning into Kanade’s side.
“Would they even let her transform?” Chris questioned.
Maria answered, “There's no way for us to know at the moment, unless Jacc wants to tell us.”
“No answers from me!”
“Oh! And where was Shirabe, Maria, Shirabe and me? Dess?”
“Oh you lot don’t show up until season 2 and Butterfly is only in flashbacks.”
“Deeeess.”
“OK, for real this time, are you ready for episode one?”
“Not really.”
“Too bad~”
