Celestial Forge In a Galaxy Far Far Away

Summary:

A man barely grown gains access to the Celestial Forge as well as the information that it brings well after it would be actually useful to him... I mean if he does nothing his sister's death is avenged. Though there is no telling if the Galaxy is going to let him leave in peace.

Notes:

This story is a Celestial Forge story, I’m going with FAST (100CP for 500 words) because I'm a very slow writer, and rolling. I’m using V3 Celestial Forge which can be found here:(https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1P-z9yHrfRtI1-0fM6v38N5SnVbP-NeO9hDr0XPYhpxA/edit?usp=sharing). And I had to use the Adeptus Mechanicus Jumpchain which can be found here:(https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qCxSOcn3SUvb_cpQ-_uAULTRrSXB_Fae/view) for the first pull I got.

The main protagonist isn’t force sensitive, or at least not yet pretty sure the Celestial Forge has that has one of the upgrades.

I started with the Warehouse jumpchain bonus, but is technically buffed by allowing living things inside when closed, but having time pass while also closed as a downside.

Chapter Text

Getting a Multi-verse of information from an outside experiencing time in a non-linear manner can be... frustrating.

Especially when said information would be next to useless, given when the information... arrived... or at least maybe when it fully exposed itself based on the gut feeling when your parents let the Jedi take Wini away with them a few years back.

At least I know Wini gets avenged if I do nothing.

Heck, I even got a cool awesome magical power. A damn key to a pocket dimension.

That’s it, a thousand meter square room with lights.

Like it’s useful. I will admit that... but like... What am I even meant to do with this?

The lights are just shaped like traditional lights, there is nothing connecting to them, no wires, nothing to try to jack power lines to so I can’t set up anything inside that requires power so it’s literally just good at a warehouse. A kitchen would have been nice.

I can’t lose the key, thankfully, I left it on my night stand and it appeared in my pocket when I looked away. The equipment at the shop said it was brass, but something said it wasn’t, but still a very old style key. I mean... it’s actually a key rather than a keypass. Mind you, it does work has a keypass which does raise the question since you know... the scanner says it’s made out of solid brass.

Speaking of the scanner...

“The scanner is picking up rust in the wiring” I said

“...How is there is rust in the wiring, it’s sealed... and it would have to get submerged with water”

“I’m just telling you that scanner is saying that, I did it twice by the way- I figured it was a misread, but nope rust pretty much anywhere with wiring.” I said, getting out from under the hover car “You can ask the customer and tell him it’s going to be expensive, I'm going to check if we have the replacement parts in stock,” reaching out to the datapad on the mobile workbench. Thankfully we did, though it was going to be a pain to replace it all. Jared wattled back.

“Turns out the customers kid crashed it into a pool and it and stayed their for a whole night a few months back, figured it the only issue was that he needed to get the interior replaced, and forgot how his kid tried to secretly install some subwoofers”

“It’s still gonna cost them a lot of credits, I’m just surprised that the he got away with having the water damage get recorded in the history of the car”

“Turns out that he normally goes to one of those faux luxury stores in the lower levels for his repairs since it’s well...”

“A old Kuat DayHauler, yeah, the thing will survive pretty much any crash unharmed”

“The man is willing to pay the credits, thankfully, but only if we let the diagnostic be free”

“And-” I felt something. Like when I got the key. Infinite power for a moment and an impossible large arm reached forward towards the... something told it was called the “Assistants” and grabbed a hold of something, a mote of light and dragged it to me. Into me. “Magos miscellaneous” This power was... a man? A mod? A very old mod. Almost as old as the modern republic.

“Ninnack?”

“What?”

“You stopped in the middle of your sentence”

“Oh yeah um... sorry I blanked out” right we were talking about the diagnostic being free “You gonna give him the refund on the diagnostic?”

“Yeah” he said but his face was still worried “You sure your okay, your eyes went out of focus pretty bad”

“No, no I’m fine” I quickly went to the where we kept the spools of wiring, this will likely be the only airspeeder I work on today because DANG is going to be a pain. It was easy work, mind you just tedious but it was... distracting thinking about the cyborg living in my warehouse right now.  Oh dear lord I’m going to take apart this entire Star Wars truck... man I hope I hope I don’t mess up with words out loud. It’s just a really bulky Airspeeder. Damn Celestial Forge... wait that this power is called? Why is it called that? I got a warehouse and a cyborg.

Man this is a pain, “Jared!” I shouted “Where do we keep the MagDrill the kid shaved like half the damn screws when he was trying to install a subwoofer”

“REALLY!? I’LL GRAB IT!” Jared was a good boss, he did that a lot... getting stuff for you like he was the grunt rather than the big man in control, though he also never answered the damn question. I’ve worked here for years and I still didn’t know where the MagDrill was. Overweight by a lot, surprising by much the waddled around, but he ate every meal at this diner that probably wasn’t producing food with legal amounts of cholesterol... and drank some soda brand, ‘Ayds’, nobody heard of from the Underworld like it was water. “Holy Druk, did he polish the damn screw heads?” said Jared with exasperation and a little bit of horror upon looking at them.

“...You know I kind of hope he did since I don’t know how else he got these screws so shaved” I muttered, as I ready the MagDrill to unscrew the damn things.

“I’ll grab replacement screws, what are they 8 millimeters?”

“Try it, the damn thing is listed in 6.73 MicroTanks”

“W-Why?”

“Empire wants people measured in Tanks. Maybe Kuat wants to be ahead of the curve when they demand everything to be in Tank adjacent?”

“B-But Tanks are non-standard measurement system, it’s measured like decibels”

“Only the screws are measured in MicroTanks, so try 8 millimeter, and if we're lucky... were lucky”

Thankfully we were lucky when he compared the screws. Taking apart the entire car was a nightmare to just replace the wiring, the kid had somehow gotten air in all the wires, which got replaced with water. We had to get towels to wipe up the floor after we were done. That was thankfully all I had to do that day, clocked out and headed home in my ancient Wasp, and thankfully when before I pulled out. I felt that Celestial Forge again, This time that Force forsaken reached out into the “Toolkit Mundane” and into myself I felt the strange power of... “The Right Tools For The Job”... I could just summon tools now when I needed them... but only when I needed them I couldn’t pull out a MagDrill now I could have only pulled the MagDrill earlier. Well If I owned a MagDrill.

I pulled out of my parking space, thinking about that-this power. The Celestial Forge. I finally got something Forgey, that was once again kind of useless. At least I can finally meet the person who has been hopefully chilling in the warehouse this entire time, when I get home. A nice little apartment one level lower than my job, and the nightmare it is to get their because the skylane to get down is a whole kilometer away from my job, and I have to turn around to head a kilometer back since it’s literally only a few decimeters away. I would walk if it had a lift instead of an hectometer long emergency ladder to get between levels. I picked up my mail, headed towards my apartment door. Used my normal keycard to get in. Then used the key to open the closet to the warehouse.

First thing that popped in my head was that the robes looked fancy. Like expected from a Senator, it was dyed red but I could barely see any flesh. Most mods I’ve seen were pretty intrusive; they weren’t this... intense. He could be mistaken for a droid.

“Greetings” it said “I am Magos Marcus” his voice a monotone with a deeper reverb that was deeper than a Hutts voice, yet simultaneously higher than something out of a Jizz instrument. A wholly synthetic voice. I stare at him blankly, I can’t tell if he does the same. His eyes are six glass covered, what I assume to be, sensors. “This is when you are expected to introduce yourself” said that... alien voice.

“Um, yeah, uh, my name is Ninnack Deve” we stare at each other again

“I will admit, I expected you to react better than most upon my arrival, not worse than a citizen of the Imperium” Yeah, Imperium of Man, something that the Empire wish it could be, with how powerful it is.

“Your, not going to attack the first non-human you see right? Or the first droid?”

“Of course not, I understand that this universe is different then my own and while technologically inferior I am looking forward to looking upon its wonders... I mean you have an alternate form of Faster Than Light travel completely disconnected from the Warp”

The Celestial Forge once again opened it’s ever long arm and reached into “Crafting Magical Items”... and grabbed nothing... that was unexpected, I guess the thing can... miss?

“Wait, you don’t have Hyperspace?”

“We use the Warp, which from my understanding is as much faster as it is more dangerous” He began to walk forward “Now I do hope you will allow me to leave this... warehouse spending hours here with nothing to do has been a good test of patience but... I wish see the machine spirits of this universe”

“You-ah, you can explore the apartment I guess”

“Affirmative” said Magos as I stepped aside, and as the droid-like man walked forward into the spacious apartment he quickly beelined to my Datapad. He picked it up and was staring at it-and the screen began to change rapidly. I turned to the letters I got, I left them on the kitchenette. Bill, Bill, that’s not a bill. That’s a republic-EMPIRE notice. Slowly opening the letter and its... a notice of death.

My parents are dead, treason. I have to come for questioning. Their assets are forfeit for the empire so I don’t get anything because well, treason. I sit on my coach. I don’t know what to think. On one hand they are my parents, on the other I cut content after they let the Jedi take Wini away. They... they probably were trying to find out what happened to her not believing she was dead. Or...

“What appears to be the issue?”

“What?”

“You appear to be filled with surprise and grief”

“Uh... my parents died for treason, though the letter doesn’t go into detail”

“You still share their family name?”

“Yes, why?”

“Looking into why”

“It’s likely classified”

“It in fact is was classified, they were part of a group protesting for the death of their family members who were killed in the Jedi Rebellion”

“Thanks...” so my guess was right.

And that means they did care about her.

“Where are your-Tissues” And now I’m crying.
