If Love Is Enough (then stay with me)

Summary:

Jang Yu-eun and Won Jimin are so different from each other. They got off on the wrong foot, and their interests, goals, and even personalities clashed. But fate, specifically the bus stop, Se-i, and math questions, kept bringing them together, and they grew closer. And one way or another, they had become precious to each other, understanding each other like no one else.

Or a collection of drabbles for my favourite side couple with different prompts and AUs.

Chapter Text

"So I told him no, that we absolutely cannot do the presentation like that."

"And his reaction was less than pleasant I assume?"

Yu-eun groaned, "Yes, he got angry and told me how I shouldn't be dictating everything when they were the ones that picked me as their leader without my consent in the first place."

She huffed and crossed and uncrossed her arms. Her eyes trained on the teacup in front of her, seeing the faces of her groupmates. Her boyfriend was sitting across from her on the other side of the small table, attentively listening to everything she said. At least, up until that point. Now that she became more heated, Jimin couldn't help but think how adorable she looked with her red puffing cheeks. Having Jang Yu-eun, known in her department as the Ice Queen, lose her composure in such a manner was not easy. And Jimin was glad he was one of the few people she felt comfortable showing this side to.

"And get this, he wanted to present the least," Yu-eun grumbled, "When he didn't even do that much for everything else," and at last turned to face Jimin. As soon as she noticed her boyfriend's adoring smile, her rage was replaced by confusion.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Like what?"

"Like you're enjoying seeing me being stuck with a terrible person as my groupmate."

Jimin chuckled lightly and smirked, "I am definitely not happy that you have to go through that. If I ever met that guy, I would be giving him an earful for making my girlfriend unhappy."

Yu-eun blushed slightly; her heart always did a little somersault whenever Jimin addressed her as his girlfriend, despite the fact that they had been dating since high school.

"So why do you look like you're enjoying this?"

"Because you look so freaking adorable, of course," Jimin replied smoothly, sipping his drink.

Yu-eun gaped her mouth open like a fish, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. Her anger was fully dissipated now. She scowled while attempting to cover her smile.

"No, I am not."

"Yes, you totally are."

"My classmates dubbed me as the Ice Queen, what's cute about that?"

"That's because they don't know you as I do."

Jimin smirked at his girlfriend, satisfied that she couldn't find a comeback to that. His thoughts were filled with the word cutecutecute as Yu-eun made a sulky face.

"And for the record, I think Elsa's cute," Jimin smiled, still a little teasingly, but Yu-eun recognised that it was a smile reserved only for her. Nothing like the phoney smile he'd like to give strangers or people who irritate him.

"I look nothing like Elsa," Yu-eun retorted with the ghost of a pout.

"Ah, of course. That's cause you're prettier. I only meant from the ice nickname aspect," Jimin's smile became wider, enjoying how flustered Yu-eun looked now. He enjoyed exchanging banter with his girlfriend, which was ironic given that he remembered finding her annoying after their initial meetings.

"Can you please shut up? You just love to rile me up in public, don't you?" Yu-eun gave her boyfriend a playful glare and touched her left cheek. As she had thought, it was warm meaning she probably looked ridiculous right now.

"That's not true. I prefer to rile you up more in private," Jimin grinned and wiggled his eyebrows, which caused his blushing girlfriend to give him a light smack. He laughed and hold up his hands.

"Alright, alright, I won't interrupt anymore. Continue the rant, sweetheart," Jimin said with a laugh, his smile never leaving his face.

Yu-eun shook her head and smiled, the kind of smile Jimin regarded as Won Jimin-exclusive, "Nevermind, I'm not even angry anymore."

She sipped her tea, her demeanour had completely changed from fury to relaxation. Her mood was brighter now, which she knew only Jimin could accomplish in a matter of seconds.

"It's your turn now. How was your day?"

Jimin's smile quickly turned into a frown. He dragged his chair closer to her, his brows furrowed.

"Okay, you wouldn't believe this but there's this one couple that is so annoying in my theatre class that has zero decency with their PDA," Jimin began his tirade, and now it was Yu-uen's turn to listen. As he continued his story, she only had one thought as she fixed her gaze on his face and his wildly animated gestures.

Cute, so cute.

Notes:

So I have totally fallen for this couple but there's not much content of them (they're the sub/second couple after all). Hence, I decided that I should make one myself lol. This chapter is very short because it's just a short drabble based on a prompt from prompt generator. I plan to compile all the fanfics I've written for them here. Sometimes it will be in a different setting, sometimes it will be just a continuation from the canon storyline. If you enjoy reading, then I would be happy to hear that!
