Hero X Family

Summary:

The #1 Hero, Deku, has overcome every challenge life has thrown at him so far. He graduated from U.A., defeated the League Of Villains, and became the #1 Hero and next Symbol of Peace. So why, in the name of all things, is the mission as simple as raising a family the hardest for him?

After completing his latest mission, Deku must take down the underground mafia leader Kai Chisaki. To do this, he must marry a woman and adopt a child in order to attend private events by the prestigious school known as Yakun Academy. In the end, he chooses Ochako Uraraka as his wife and Eri as his daughter.

What started off as an unorthodox but simple mission ends up turning the #1 Hero’s life completely upside down. And no amount of U.A.’s training could’ve prepared him for that.

or…

A IzuOcha Au inspired by Spy X Family starring Pro Hero Deku, underground Vigilante Ochako, and telepathic Eri.

Chapter 1: 1) A Different Kind Of Mission

Chapter Text

It was a dark, foggy day, perfect for acts of stealth for both Heroes and Villains alike. Amongst a particularly large cloud of fog, was a worn down abandoned building, housing around a dozen or so criminals split into two groups.

Carrying several firearms, they made sure to check and see if any criminals were nearby before enacting their trade. The leader of the first group approached his counterpart in the second, handing over a silver briefcase in exchange for a large batch of money.

“Bout time we got hold of this, underground selling’s been getting harder and harder as more of the population gets more Quirks.” The leader of the first group stated.

“And why’s that?” One of his lackeys asked.

“Simple. Heroes stop stuff like this. People need Quirks to be Heroes. People need Quirks to stop stuff like this.” The leader replied.

“It’s probably because of the Heroes themselves. That Deku guy’s only been running for two years, and he’s already the #1!” One of the lackeys said.

“Eh, the Hero polls don’t mean shit. I bet all of those punk Heroes are about as much as a cunt as one each other. Hell, hand me one right now, I’d enjoy a good fight.” The second leader said.

“Be careful for what you wish.” An unknown voice said from above.

The criminals heard the masculine voice before looking above, at the cratered dark ceiling. However, this would prove a mistake, as the man who the formerly unknown voice belonged to crashed into the ground.

The sheer impact of his strength fractured the poorly made floor he landed on, and caused several criminals to lose their balance.

“S-Shit it’s him!” One of the lackeys said.

“Who cares, light his ass up!” Another added.

Several of the criminals began opening fire on the Hero, through various means, some using their Quirks and others using simple firearms. A few others decided to not take their chances and attempt to run away from the interaction entirely.

In the blink of an eye, the Hero summons a green and black energy tendril to swipe the criminal’s firearms out of their hands before charging at the criminals who used their Quirks to attack.

One criminal had a Quirk that fired needles through his fingers, but one kick to the gut from the Hero was enough to send him careening and unconscious.

Another had a Quirk that shot rapid fire bolts of fire from his eyes, all of which failing to hit the Hero as he charged forward and punched him so hard the Hero swore the criminal’s body did a 180 degree spin.

Before the Hero could move, he found himself halted in place. He tried to keep moving, but couldn’t budge one bit.

“Ha, I’ve got you, you little shit!” The leader of the second group said.

The Hero looked around and spotted the man staring straight at him.

“My Quirk lets me halt people in place, so long as I’m looking at them with one eye for three seconds! You can’t do anything while I’m looking at you!” He said.

“Maybe don’t explain the exact way your Quirk works in front of someone you’re fighting.” The Hero said.

The second leader looked confused before the Hero seemingly made a screen of smoke, vanishing from sight.

“What?!” He said.

By the time the cloud had disappeared the Hero was already gone. The second leader anxiously looked around him before being scooped up by the floating Hero, before the Hero slammed him back into the ground. The Hero made sure to slam him just hard enough to leave him unconscious, but not enough to kill him.

The Hero returned to the ground before muttering internally to himself, while simultaneously charging up kinetic energy within himself.

There were 12 of them, I just took down 3, and the other 9 ran away. 2 of them had stayed a little longer, but went the same direction as the other 7. While they should be a little behind, they should still lead me to the other criminals. He thought.

“Fa Jin!” He shouted, darting at the building at lightning speeds.

While running he internally thought to himself, trying to use another one of his Quirks to find the retreating criminals.

C’mon Danger Sense… where’d they go… THERE! He recalled as his Quirk revealed the location of the criminals.

The Hero approaches a particular alleyway with a large trash bin near its entrance. Here he spotted the rest of the retreating criminals. The Hero touched the trash bin while activating another one of his Quirks.

“Gearshift!” He shouted, sending the bin flying through the air and cutting off the exit of the alleyway, leaving the criminals trapped between the bin and the Hero.

Without any other options, two particularly desperate criminals stepped forward and tested their own luck.

“C-C’mon man! I-I didn’t even wanna be here! They just peer pressured me!” One said, pointing at the other criminals.

“Yeah, just give us a chance! We didn’t want to be here.” The second said.

The Hero rolled his eyes, clearly having heard this same song and dance before. It was getting late at night and he wasn’t in the mood to tell them why their decisions were wrong. Instead, he simply crashed the duo’s head’s together, three stooges style, knocking them unconscious.

The Hero leaped into the air before crashing down, the impact of his jump causing the remaining criminals to be launched from the impact. While they were in mid air, the Hero rapidly attacked the remaining five, sending them flying in different directions.

The only one who remained conscious was the leader of the first group, who was barely awake in the first place.

“J-Just so you know, D-Deku is a stupid Hero name.” He said.

The Hero finished the last of them with an attack as simple as a flick, but powerful enough to knock him unconscious.

As the criminal fell down, something fell out of his shirt as well. The Hero looked curiously, picking up the item. It looked small, slim, and from a distance it looked like a photo of some kind.

On the photo was the criminal, with his hands around a woman and a small girl. They looked to be a family. The Hero felt his heart ache a little. A small twinge of emotion peeked inside him. This wasn’t the first time this had happened.

However, it wasn’t very long until he tossed the photo back to the ground. The Hero lied on the ground to take a moment to breathe. He sighed.

Don’t get so sorry for yourself. This is the life you chose. There isn’t any turning back.

The #1 Hero, Deku, woke up late the next morning, deciding to make the most of his off day. The gleaming sun illuminated the room and tainted his skin warm and pleased.

Deku exited his master bedroom and entered his kitchen to begin making breakfast. He wasn’t in the particular mood to make an explicitly delicious breakfast, instead choosing to just make something on the spot.

He scooped up a bottle of jelly to make toast for himself. Before he could put it on the bread he received a call from someone. Deku scooped up the phone before smiling happily.

“How’s the most wonderful person in the world doing?” A sweet feminine voice answered from the phone.

“I dunno, how are you mom?” Deku said.

Inko giggled to herself before continuing to speak.

“Y’know Izuku, you’re surprisingly good at complimenting others when you aren’t acting nervous. You’ve got brains, looks, and heart, you’d be able to get a girlfriend in no time!” Inko said.

Deku sighed before answering

“Mom we’ve been over this, I can’t be in a relationship. It would be a distraction to myself, and a danger to others.” Deku said.

“What about me then? Am I a distraction to you? Does our relationship endanger me.” Inko said.

“No, but that’s because you’re different. A romantic partner is a much bigger target to villains and would be in much danger. And you aren’t exactly completely safe either, remember the Villain with the calculator Quirk that kidnapped you?” Deku said.

“Yeah… his breath stunk. But even then, being a Hero doesn’t mean you’re unable to love others. Look at Todoroki and Momo, or Jirou and Kaminari. Heck, Bakugo’s the number two Hero and he got with Kirishima!” Inko said.

“None of them are the number one Hero or were personally trained by All-Might.” Deku rebutted.

Inko sighed. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t convince her boy to just… go out of the house more often.

“Alright Izuku. I won’t decide your actions, but I can advise them. Just know that I won’t always be here to comfort you after a particularly bad encounter with a Villain. You’ll need other people.” Inko finished.

“I don’t need a lover. I don’t need a family beyond you. Goodbye Mom, love you.” Deku said before hanging up the phone.

He sighed.

I shouldn’t have done that. It was rude. Still, I stand by my choice.

“I don’t need a family, I don’t need a family. I. Don’t. Need. A. Family.” Deku said before he received another call.

He answered it, noticing it was from Bakugo.

That’s weird, Kacchan never calls me unless it’s work related. We both go to Endeavor’s Agency, but today’s my off day.

“Hey Kacchan, what’s up?” Deku asked.

—————————————————————————

“I HAVE TO START A WHAT!?!?” Deku shouted.

“No, you heard me right, you need to start a family. Direct orders from Endeavor.” Todoroki said.

Todoroki pushed his table back, knowing what was coming. Deku immediately began internally muttering, overtime he learned to only do so in his head, and only muttered out loud if he was particularly nervous. Todoroki began to explain the rules to ensure Deku wouldn’t be confused.

After Bakugo told him to go to their agency, he had said Todoroki needed to discuss with him work details. The explosive Hero knew Deku would protest about the details of the mission, so he chose not to give any details and leave that part to Todoroki.

“You know of the underground mafia leader, Overhaul?” Todoroki asked.

“Of course I do, you’ve brought him up multiple times.” Deku replied.

“Well, he’s a man that goes by the name Kai Chisaki, the leader of the Shie Hassaikai. However, his adoptive son attends a school known as Yakun Academy. Chisaki never shows up during public events of any kind, and our only chance of catching him are by attending private events at Yakun Academy.” Todoroki said.

“…Go on.” Deku said.

“By having a Hero adopt a child, having them attend the academy, and having their Hero parent attend at one of the private meetings, we can effectively contain and capture him.” Todoroki continued.

“Alright, but that doesn’t explain why it has to be me.” Deku said.

“Chisaki is dangerous. If we had to only send a single Hero in to capture him, it would be you.” Todoroki said.

“Ok, but an entire family? What are even the rules to that?” Deku asked again.

“Yakun only accepts families with two parents. And besides, you only have to adopt the child briefly and marry the woman. And if you’re worried that the child and woman will be upset at you leaving them, don’t worry. We have people with memory erasing Quirks that’ll be able to prevent them being upset from this experience.” Todoroki said.

“…Alright. Give me by next week. I should be able to adopt a kid and marry a woman by then.” Deku finally accepted.

“Good. See you then.” Todoroki said.

—————————————————————————

Later that day, Deku found himself at a quiet orphanage. He rung the doorbell on a rundown orphanage. The #1 Hero patiently waited until the door was answered.

“So you wanna adop-“ A man opened the door and began to speak, but stopped midway.

Upon noticing that he was speaking to THE #1 Hero the man immediately went onto his best behavior.

“Yes! Hello Mr. Deku! You must be looking to adopt! Come on in, take whoever you want and as much time as you need!” The man quickly said while rapidly bowing.

“Yes, thank you!” Deku politely said,

As Deku walked through the long hallways he noticed several children who all recognized him with starry eyes.

Shoot… these kids are too cute… I have to resist their puppy dog eyes… Deku thought.

“Excuse me sir, where are your smartest children?” Deku asked.

“Oh, just this way Mr. Deku!” The man directed.

My best bet is a child who’s intelligent and lacking a real backstory. I’ll need someone smart enough so attend Yakun’s Entrance Exam. Never thought I’d have to train for two separate Entrance Exams… Deku thought to himself.

“This one’s name is Eri, and she’s the smartest one we’ve got.” The man said.

“Do you know what her Quirk is?” Deku asked.

“No, but it’s probably just a simple mutation Quirk. You see the horn on her head?” The man said.

Deku eyeballed the little girl. She was small, clearly not well fed, and looked very worried. She tried to avoid eye contact, instead choosing to look at the floor with his bright red eyes. Eri had a small yellowish horn on her head.

Oh man, she’s got to be one of the cutest kids I’ve ever met. And I’ve met a LOT of cute kids. Getting back on topic, I need a way to test her. She looks about 6 or 7. Deku thought to himself.

Deku scanned the room, looking for something to aid him. He spotted a half finished crossword puzzle lying on a table before picking it up and taking it to Eri.

“Hey Eri, can you work on this?” Deku asked.

Eri quietly nodded before taking a pencil and began writing.

A crossword puzzle would be extremely difficult for a child her age. For me, of course, it’s child’s play. Number 2 is Raise, Number 5 is Amalgamation, Number 6 is- Deku thought to himself.

However, a few seconds after finishing the puzzle in his head, Deku noticed Eri was already complete. Deku looked shocked.

“Amazing! A puzzle of that difficultly should be impossible! I’ll take her!” Deku said.

“I dunno… Eri’s pretty untrustworthy. I’ve had her for about a year and she hasn’t accepted anyone, and she’s been requested about 5 or so times.” The man replied.

Eri looked at Deku. Unbeknownst to the Hero and the owner of the orphanage, she continued reading Deku’s mind.

Please Eri… a child of your intelligence would be perfect for my mission… I need you so I can stop that villain! Deku thought.

Eri paused for a moment. She pondered for herself before coming to her senses.

“O-Okay. I’ll g-go.” She timidly said.

“Great! We can sign the paperwork and you can be on your way! I’m sure being the #1 Hero leaves your schedule pretty crowded.” The man said.

“Yeah, c’mon Eri! I can’t wait to get to know you!” Deku said with a smile on his face.

Eri continued to frown. She was sure everyone in this world would never care or love her. How could someone love her, a privacy invading ugly child? The only reason she accepted the Hero’s offer was because it seemed being adopted by him would lead to the safety of others. After all, nobody could learn to love someone as weak as her right?

Right?
