Chapter Text
Chinen Y/n was a lovable girl. Most people at school would call her "mrs.perfect." She was a straight A student, always was in the higher leveled classes, was always class president, and was captain of the volleyball team.
Her classmates always relied on her. Always coming to her with their problems, and well it was tiring. She felt as if she had to help everyone who came to her and beyond that. She’d go as far as doing things without it being asked of her. That left her with no time to herself. By the time she gets home she's exhausted. If she could, she would lay down in her bed and daydream till she fell asleep. But alas, she still has to do her homework and help the people who text her. When she finally finishes all that it was only 6:00 pm.
"Oneesan! Come help me set the table!" Miya yelled at the bottom of the steps. y/n sighed and popped up from her chair she's been sitting in for almost three hours. "Coming Miya!" She stretched and slowly made her way down stairs. Once she made it down the stairs she hugged her brother with a smile.
"Hey Miya. How was school?" Miya hummed. "Same as always. You... seem tired. You’re not over working yourself are you?" A yawn escaped her lips. She let go of her brother and smiled down at him. "Don’t worry! 'm fine." Miya wasn't convinced but he didn't push. "if you say so...."
"Where’s mom and dad?" Y/n asked while setting chopsticks on the table. "Ah... they went to go get takeout. Mom forgot to grab groceries so we don't have anything to cook. They should be home by now..." she nodded her head. As soon as the two teenagers finish setting the table, their parents came through the door with takeout.
Y/n spaced out during dinner trying real hard to stay awake. She finished and put her dishes in the sink. "Thank you for the meal!" She yelled before rushing up the stairs. "H-honey!" Her mother stuttered out. Even though it’s normal for her daughter to be acting the way she is, it still shocks her to always see her daughter always so uptight Y/n spun around almost tripping over her feet. "y-yes?" Her mother smiled at her, it wavers a bit. "Sleep well!" Her daughter smiled back. "You too!" She continued her way up the stairs.

Y/n didn't get much sleep last night, which is usually a common occurrence unfortunately. Usually she’d push through. She’s used to being up so late, but she stayed up till almost 1 am finishing up homework. She could barely keep her eyes open during breakfast. Assuming it wouldn’t be a good decision to go to school in such a state, she decided to leave home a bit earlier than usual to grab some coffee before school.
Miya walked beside her with a look of concern. “I told you not to stay up so late! Look at you!” Y/n rolled her eyes sleepily “I was finishing homework.” She says while opening the door to a cafe. the smell of Coffee hit her hard, making her crave it even more. Miya scoffed “You should care about your health more than your homework Onnesan!” He berated his sister, she only yawned and walked up to the counter to order her coffee. She looked back at her brother. “Want anything?” Miya shook his head. “You’re unbelievable!”
Once Y/n’s coffee was handed to her, she payed and walked out the Cafe. she sipped on her coffee and sighed in content. Miya was right behind her still scolding her for her poor sleeping habit's. “You ought to look after yourself sis! I wont always be here to scold you ya know!” She just shook her head and ruffled Miya’s hair. “Don’t worry about me!” He grabbed her hand while a scowl on his face. “someone needs to…” he mutters. Y/n laughs and retracts her hand. “I’m a big girl Miya, i can take care of mysel—“
Y/n bumps into someone. Miya looks down at his sister in shock before snickering at her. “Apparently not…” Y/n looks down. Her Coffee spilt all over her uniform and on the sidewalk. Her coffee cup rolls away, still pouring out it’s contents slowly. “There goes my coffee.”
She also notices a red haired boy. He lays flat on his back opposite from her, his skateboard rolling away towards his blue haired friend who gives you a look of pity. He groans before slowly sitting up. “I’m so sorry!” He says while getting up and holding a hand out to Y/n. She ignores it, standing up by herself.
“Watch out where you’re going next time. yeah?” She replies passive aggressively before sighing. “My uniform is ruined…” The boy chuckles nervously. “Yeah umm sorry about that…”
Miya suddenly cuts. “Oh, Reki and Langa.” Y/n blinked “You know each other?” She glanced at the red head. He looked disheveled, with his hoodie under his school uniform. She assumed it was on purpose and not because he bumped into her. “Actually, I don’t care about that. I care about this!” She says while tugging on her damp shirt.
“uhmmm…” Reki looked around from something useful in this odd situation. “How about my hoodie?” Y/n cringed while shaking her head. "No…I’ll pass.”
"But it would cover the stain!”
Y/n shook her head. “no offense, but I’d rather drown then put your hoodie on.” She looks down at herself once more before sighing. “Guess I gotta go back and change…” And with that, she walks away. Not before picking up the forgotten coffee cup and throwing it away. "Sis wait!" Miya yells out, running after her.
Langa and Reki watched as the siblings walk away. “Why does she seem familiar…?” Langa looked at Reki like he was stupid. “she’s our class president.”
“wait, really?!”
Langa nodded. "I’ve never seen the her act so normal though..." Reki looks at Langa confused. "What do you mean normal?" Langa shrugged. "Well, she always seems uptight at school, but just now she seemed like I dunno calm?" Reki looked at his friend and an idea popped up in his head.
"i have a plan Langa!"
"oh no..."
"what do you mean oh no?!?"

Y/n was running late. Well no, not really. school dosen't really start until an hour later but, y/n is always early. So coming to school on time was something new for y/n. She walks into school with a clean uniform and a new cup of coffee. Her lips immediately snapped up into a smile as she greets classmates.
"hey, Chinen-sama! sensei needs you!" Mei, a Teammate of hers exclaims. "Thank you mei-chan!" y/n gives her a smile and starts to make her way to the teachers lounge. When she finally makes it to the teacher office, she greets her Teacher with a smile that doesn’t quite reach her eyes.
"good morning sensei! you needed me?" Her teacher looked up and smiled at her. "ahhh, chinen-chan! good timing! What did I need you for? ah! yes!"
She turned around and pulled a file out of her desk. "Well recently the school decided to group up some kids who need help with certain subjects. I know you excel in Literature, so I was hoping you would tutor these kids? Don’t worry it’s only a small group!" y/n's smile faded but quickly perked back up.
"what if i said no..."
She sighed softly enough for it to go deaf from her Teachers ears. "Of course i will!" y/n gave her Teacher the fakest smile she could muster. Of course her teacher didn't noticed and smiled back. "I knew you would!"
Soon after that y/n left the lounge. she sighed and let her tight smile drop. "Another thing to do..." She shook her head and continued her way to class.
"Chinen-senpai!" Y/n's smile popped up again and turned to the underclassmen, Sora. She joined the volleyball team recently and she’s always looking for ways to improve. So from time to time she asks Y/n for advice. "Yes Sora-chan?"
"o-oh um, i just wanted to double check if we're having practice today!" Sora stammered. y/n always found Sora adorable. She got shy over the smallest things. A genuine smile formed on the girls lips. "Not today Sora-chan!" Sora’s face turned into a tomato. "O-oh! I'm sorry for b-bothering you chinen-senpai!" she exclaimed while waving her arms around. y/n smiles at the underclassmen and ruffles her hair. "Don’t worry Sora-chan! you aren't bothering me!" Sora nodded. "o-okay! thank you Y/n-senpai!" Sora smiled big and ran off.
"So cute…" a small smile stayed on her lips as she walked into class. "Good morning chinen-san!" a few classmates sang in unison. y/n greeted them back and made her way to her seat. In only a few minutes more and more flooded into the classroom and soon enough her Teacher walked in. She announces a few things before introducing a new lesson.
Throughout class y/n pretends to take notes and doodled in her notebook. The teacher never caught her. Soon enough it was lunch and friends linked up to go eat lunch. y/n usually ate by herself. Life had other plans.
"y/n-chan!" y/n turned away from a classmate she was talking to and her smile faded but she fixed her mistake. "Oh…Reki-kun right?" y/n said as she tried to hide her irritation. He ignored her question and walked up to her. He grabbed her hand. “Hey?! what the hell are you doing?" He pulled her up out her seat and lead her out the class. "Reki!" she exclaimed once more, irritation evident in her voice. Reki turned around and smiled.
"Eat lunch with me!"
y/n's face flushed in irritation (not because she was embarrassed of course!). She pulled her hand away from Reki. "You could have just asked!" Reki's eyes lit up. "Does this mean yes?" y/n rolled her eyes. "No." reki frowned and whined. "Well, why not?" y/n smiles softly.
" That was adorable."
"I’m just joking Reki." Reki's smile returned to his face. "I will eat with you, in one condition!" Reki tilted his head. "adorable..." if you couldn't tell already Y/n likes cute things. Before she distracting herself any further, she says;
"don't tell anyone about the encounter we had this morning..."
Reki's face was filled with pure confusion. "Um okay! i won't question it." Reki suddenly turned to Y/n and grabbed her hand again. "Lets go Y/n-chan! Langa's waiting!" Reki suddenly pulled her causing her to tumble forward. "Reki-kun! w-wait!"
