Star Wars: Episode VII: War For Kingdom Hearts

Summary:

Six months after the Battle of Endor, Luke senses a disturbance in the Force which leads him and his friends to the Destiny Islands. He discovers Sora and offers to train him in the ways of the Force. When the Heartless show up, it's going to take the Jedi Knights, Keyblade Wielders, and the New Republic to stop the forces of darkness. But will the combined efforts be enough?

Notes:

I don't own Kingdom Hearts or Star Wars. They belong to LucusFilms, Disney, and Square Enix. Okay, here's my third attempt at writing a Star Wars/ Kingdom Hearts crossover. Hopefully this time, it'll stick. In case you haven't guessed this takes place six months after Return of the Jedi and Luke is beginning to restore the Jedi Order.

While, I did enjoy the sequel trilogy, despite its many flaws, this will be heavily based on the Legends series version. There are just so many characters that deserve to be in the cannon. So, without further ado, let's start with the opening and cue the opening Star Wars title crawl music...

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Episode VII

War for Kingdom Hearts

The Empire has fallen! Six months after the Battle of Endor, Rebellion emerged victorious! With the death of EMPEROR PALPATINE, his tyrannical reign on the galaxy is over!

However, with one evil gone, another rises. As the Rebellion begins the foundation of the NEW REPUBLIC, worlds on both sides of the war have been mysteriously vanishing! Darkness still looms everywhere!

Fearing the remnants of the GALACTIC EMPIRE may have constructed another Death Star, LEIA ORGANA turns to her brother, Jedi Knight, LUKE SKYWALKER, who is in the midst of starting the new Jedi Order...

Somewhere on the moon of Yavin, the last Jedi, stood in front of the rubble of once Rebel base, using the Force to clear of it the ruble of the last battle upon the world. A small blue astromech rolled up to him whistling over to him. Luke smiled, "You know why we're here, Artoo. I promised Master Yoda to pass on what I've learned. To rebuild the Jedi Order."

R2-D2 beeped again, wondering why this place, as the Jedi Knight, continued removing the rubble of the destroyed Rebel base. He answered, "I will admit, I have some fond memories here. Plus, this place has a strong presence in the Force. It's a good place to train the next generation of Jedi."

The droid beeped again, wondering where will they even find the students. Luke sighed, "I'll be honest with you, Artoo, I'm not sure yet. Back then, Jedi had many resources to find those strong with the Force. Thanks to the Sith, many of them were destroyed, and whatever surviving Jedi that are remaining are scattered across the galaxy." He then thought to himself, "If I could find an old Jedi Holocron or at least one student, it could get me a head start..."

He then grunted in pain, dropping the debris, as he clutched his head. The astromech rolled up to him in concern. He placed his gloved hand on him as he reassured him, "I'm fine, Artoo. It's just... felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened."

R2 whistled to him as Luke nodded, "You're right. That's the third time this week it happened. It cannot be a coincidence."

"Luke!" He turned to see his twin sister walking over to him, "Luke! You out here?!"

"Leia?" The Jedi Knight blinked, "What are you doing here?"

The last he had heard from her, she and the other senators were trying to re-establish the Republic. Just as he was trying to do the same with the Jedi Order. He certainly didn't expect to see her in person so soon. She approached him, "Luke. We could use your help. We think the remains of the Empire created another planet killer."

"Another Death Star?" Luke thought out loud, "What makes you think that?"

"Come back to the Falcon," She gestured to him, "We'll explain everything."

"Guess that means Han and Chewie's here too," Luke realized before admitting, "Better not keep them waiting." He quickly followed his sister before turning to the droid, "C'mon, Artoo."

R2 followed the children of Anakin Skywalker back to the ship of Han Solo the Millennium Falcon, which was right beside Luke's own X-Wing Fighter. Han smiled in greeting, "Hey, Luke."

Luke smiled as he gave the Captain of the ship that made the Kessel Run less than 12 parsecs a brotherly hug. It had been half a year since he and his sister started dating. In truth, Han was a good match for his sister, he felt happy for the two.

Just then, the co-pilot of the Falcon, Chewbacca the Wookiee, roared happily giving Luke a right hug. Luke winced in pain at the strength of the Wookiee but couldn't help but laugh, "It's good to see you too, Chewie."

Artoo rolled up to the golden protocol droid, C-3PO, and beeped in greetings. The droid nodded, "I hoped you haven't gotten yourself in trouble with Master Luke."

R2 beeped in response, as Luke smiled, "It's good to see everyone again." He then wondered, "Where's Lando?"

"He's with the rest of the fleet with Akbar," Han answered, "Everyone been keeping an eye out with all the worlds vanishing."

"Vanishing?" Luke's eyes widened in horror, "What happened while I was away?"

Han's expression turned sower, and Chewie moaned softly, "Chewie and I was checking old Imperial Bases for any leads on where the Empire was holding the Wookiee prisoners. We have found a whole lot of them and tried to return to Kashyyk... only there was no Kashyyk. It was all gone."

"After investigating further, we found out that was the only world that's gone missing," Leia continued placing a comforting hand on the Wookiee's shoulder, "Naboo and Lothal had vanished too. The civilians and troops on those worlds, both Rebel and Imperial are gone."

"People are beginning to suspect the creation of another Death Star," Han frowned, "And the Remnant of the Empire, are trying to take back the galaxy through fear but... honestly I don't think that's the case."

Luke turned to his best friend, "What makes you say that?"

"Remember back when we first met," The Captain of the Falcon reminded, "When Chewie and I took you, the droids, and old Ben to Alderaan?"

Luke could hardly forget that day. His training as Jedi began trying to bring the droids to Leia's homeworld, only to find out that the Empire destroyed it with the first Death Star. They went in, rescued Leia, Vader murdered Obi-Wan, and Luke, himself, destroyed the Death Star. Leia took that day hard since her family and people were wiped out as well. He couldn't help but ask, "What about it?"

"When we arrived there were just asteroids and dust left, leftovers from its destruction," Han reminded him, "But where Kashyyk should be, there was nothing left. Even the Death Star couldn't destroy every last piece of the planet without a trace that it was ever there."

"That's why we came to you, Luke," Leia answered, "You're one of the Last Jedi we know of. What are your thoughts about this?"

Luke hummed to himself, "Han may be on to something. For a while now, the Dark Side of the Force has grown stronger. With the Emperor dead and the Sith finally gone, there should have a balance in the Force."

"So, you don't think the Sith are behind this?" Leia assumed.

Luke nodded to his twin sister, "Or the Empire. I fear we may be dealing with a third party."

"Great," Han groaned, "You dismantle an evil Empire, and something else wants to take its place."

Chewie roared softly, as Leia wondered, "So if it's not the Empire, who else is behind this? I wanted the destruction of worlds to have ended with the first Death Star."

"I will need some time to meditate on this," Luke thought aloud, "If we're going to restore the Jedi Order and the Republic, we'll need to deal with this new threat first."

Everyone nodded as they let Luke take his time to establish a connection to the Force...

Hours had passed, as Luke sat on the ground with his legs crossed, trying to find a solution to the threat. Chewie had gone back inside the Falcon, to perform a system checkup with Artoo and Threepio. Leia and Han simply watched the young Jedi Knight meditate, the latter turned to his girlfriend, "So, how long he's going to be like that?"

"Hopefully soon," Leia admitted, "I don't want anyone else to lose their worlds like I lost Alderaan."

Han nodded in agreement before Luke's eyes finally opened. He stood up before turning to the couple. Han asked, "Well, kid. Any luck?"

"The dark side of the Force has grown unusually stronger but... I also sensed a great light," Luke answered, "Something that could turn back the darkness."

"Could it lead us to whatever's making our worlds vanish?" Leia wondered.

"Perhaps and even better, it may provide us a solution," Luke admitted, "It's on a world not far from this one..."

"Sounds like something worth checking out," Han nodded, "Alright, where is this planet?" He offered, "Mandalore? Felicia?" He then pleaded, "Please don't say Dathomir."

"None of those," The Jedi answered, "To be quite honest, I wasn't even aware this planet existed until now."

Han and Leia turned to each other in confusion, before the latter asked, "What world is it?"

"It'll be easier if I showed you," Luke admitted, "Prep the Falcon and follow my coordinates through hyperspace. I should be able to take us there."

Han nodded as he boarded the Falcon, "Chewie! Start her up! We're leaving!"

The twins could hear the Wookiee growling in response. Leia turned to Luke, "You really think we can find something that could lead us to stop whatever's happening on that planet."

"No," The Jedi shook his head, "Someone."

Moments later, Atroo joined Luke in his X-Wing Fighter while the Falcon flew beside him. Han spoke through the coms, "Luke, I received your coordinates but... Luke... there are no systems over there. If there were the whole galaxy would have discovered it long ago."

"I know what I sensed, Han," Luke replied, "I know it doesn't make any sense but there's a world with life over there. It's where we need to go. Trust me."

"Well, you never let me down before," Han admitted, "Oh, what the heck? Let's take a leap of faith. Alright, Chewie, prepare to make the jump to hyperspace."

Luke smiled as he reached for his own hyperdrive, "May the Force be with us."

With that, Luke activated his hyperdrive, and the ship's speed increased to lightspeed. The smuggler's ship followed him through hyperspace. It only took a few minutes before they exited hyperspace at the coordinates...

In the Falcon, everyone leaned into the cockpit window, Han blinked, "What the... where did that planet come from?"

Sure, enough, Luke was right. There really was an undiscovered system there. There was even a blue planet rotating around the sun, the protocol droid turned from the computer, "There are no databases of this system on any known charts."

Leia couldn't help but ask, "How did no one discover this world until now?"

Chewie grumbled something on the scan, as Han checked it, "You're right. There's lots of water but there's life on that world. Probably some islands. Civilization."

"I'll go check it out first," Luke told his friends as his ship entered the planet's atmosphere, "I see if there's any dry land where you can land the Falcon."

"You sure who we're looking for is here?" The general asked.

"I'm sure," The Jedi answered, "I'll see you soon."

The X-Wing flew over the oceans from above, Artoo beeped, wondering if Luke knew where to go. Luke chuckled, "Not yet, but I know we're going the right way."

The astromech beeped as Luke smiled, "Yes, this time I'm sure it's perfectly safe for droids."

Luke flew slightly higher as it approached the main island, full of houses and buildings, he reported back to the Falcon, "We'll it looks like there is civilization here... but no landing pads."

"Great, then where are we supposed to land?" Han asked through the coms.

"I hate to say it but we might need to land in the water," Luke admitted before spotting a spot, "Wait, there's an empty spot on one of the beaches of the islands. It's near to a much smaller island, but we should be able to fit both of our ships. Just follow my ship's beacon."

"Well," Leia's voice spoke up, "It's better than losing our ships to the oceans."

"Alright, we'll see you soon, Luke," Han's voice added.

"Okay, but I might check out the other island first," The Jedi Knight told him as he prepared to land his X-Wing, "I sense the one we need is on that island."

With that, his ship, released the landing gear as it landed in the sandy beach...

At the same time, a young spiky fourteen-year-old teenage boy named Sora was currently speaking to one of his old friends. A girl named Selphie as she smiled at him, "Hey, Sora, have you heard about the legendary power of the paopu fruit?" She went on to explain, "They say if you share it with someone you really care for, it binds you together forever and ever! Through eternity!" She sighed deeply, "It's so romantic. I gotta try it sometime."

Of course, Sora knew of the legend of the paopu fruit. Everyone who lived on the island knew of the fruit. You'd practically have to be living under a rock or come from another world if you haven't heard of it. He sighed dramatically, "Yes, I know about the legend of the paopu fruit. Everyone knows about the legend of the paopu fruit. This isn't new. Why do you and Riku feel the need to remind me of it constantly?"

"Well, you've been looking at the fruit and Kairi for years and done nothing so," Sephie went on, "We're beginning to wonder if you're ever going to try to share one with her."

Sora's face instantly turned red at that. Nearly ten years ago, he and Riku were playing on the islands when Kairi first appeared. No one knew where she came from, not even she. The mayor at the time took her in and raised her, but the three of them have been inseparable ever since. However, the moment Sora first laid his eyes on her, she was the prettiest girl he had ever met. That hadn't changed ten years later, and people were beginning to take notice. Even his own mom, who constantly teased him about it. And she wasn't the only one, Riku just the other day had teased him about it too.

"W-What makes you say that?!" Sora turned away from her as he denied, "There's nothing going between me and Kairi!"

"Whatever you say," Sephie smirked, "If I were you, I make my move soon before Riku steals her away."

"Ugh!" Sora clutched his head, "Look! I don't have time for this... I need to help them finish the raft with them."

It was no mistake the three of them wanted to see what was beyond their island. If Kairi's home was out there and indeed from another world outside their own, they wanted to see it for themselves. Along with any other world out there. They planned to be the first who see them all. This raft was only the first step and at long last, it had been completed. He just needed to check in with Kairi to see what supplies they needed.

"Uh-huh!" She nodded with a smirk, "Just make sure you bring a poapu with you, I'm sure she would appreciate it."

Sora just groaned in frustration, as he hopped off the docks to the sandy beach. Wakka gave him a wave as he walked past him. He spotted from the bridge, watching Tidus practicing his swings. He called down from below, "I think you've gotten stronger, but odds are you're still no match for Riku."

Sora wasn't even going to deny it, their current score was 58-12 in Riku's favor for this month alone. His wins were mainly just in the races except he managed to win one by tripping him over their arena one time. He was going to get better one day, he would even the score one day in the sparing matches. Tidus went on as he continued his swings, "We took him on three-to-one last time and he whipped us all." As continued making his way to the other end of the island until Tidus added, "Well, I guess Kairi can always count on him."

Sora immediately stopped where he was as he turned to him from above, "What do you mean?!"

"Oh, you know," Tidus smirked as he swung his respective weapon, "Out of the two of you, he's the more dependable one. If Kairi's in a jam, she can also count on him to get him out."

"Kairi can count on me too!" Sora denied with a glare, "I can handle anything he can too!"

"Why don't you prove it," Tidus smirked as he twirled his weapon and went into his battle stance.

Sora quickly pulled out his own wooden sword as he smirked, "I'll take you all on!"

"Aw, yeah!" Tidus beamed as he bumped a fist, "Now, we're talking!"

Later, Luke began exploring the play island as R2 rolled beside him. He pulled out his comlink, "Han, how'd did the Falcon land?"

"There wasn't much room," Han replied, "But it just made it. From the looks of things, it doesn't even look like these people have discovered space travel yet. Or at the very least, never had someone who already did have."

"I've spoken with some of the locals," Leia spoke up, "Thankfully, they speak basic but they seemed to be completely unaware of the Empire or the Rebellion. Or any other conflict for the matter, in a way, I'm a little jealous. They never had to witness the horrors of the wars over the eons." He could hear his sister's concern, "Are you sure about this Luke, if we bring them up to speed of what's been happening now it could very well bring whatever's left of the Empire here as well as any other future war."

"If we're going to stop what's been happening to the worlds," Luke answered, "The Force-Sensitive could be very well what we need to turn the tide against the dark side."

"Force-Sensitive?" Leia repeated in shock.

"Wait a minute," Han repeated, "You're saying we're looking for a Jedi? Like you?"

"No, Han," Luke shook his head, "We're looking for someone who has the potential to become a Jedi. Much like Leia, they have the connection to the Force but never truly expanded upon it, and yet... very different from any other Force-User than I ever felt. Jedi or Sith."

"Okay, Luke," Leia replied, "I hope we find who we need soon. We can't afford to lose any other worlds to whoever is responsible for all of this."

"Don't worry. This shouldn't take long..." Luke reassured her when all of a sudden, he spotted a group of children gathering. Feeling the presence he felt on Yavin among them, the Jedi Knight turned to the group...

Unaware of the new figure on the island, Sora readied his wooden sword while his friends prepared to spare with him. Selphie spun around her jump rope like a wipe while a confident grin appeared on her face. Tidus readied his own wooden staff with an eager grin on his face. Finally, Wakka twirled his blitzball with a cocky grin. As the three surrounded the spiky brunette fourteen-year-old boy, Tidus exclaimed, "Let's get him!"

The staff wielder charged in as Sora paired his strikes with his wooden weapon. Wakka threw his ball at Sora, causing him to pull back from Tidus to avoid the incoming projectile.

Selphie wiped her jump rope at Sora as he barely managed to step aside the attack. She then proceeded with another strike, but this time Sora wiped his sword at the jump rope's end to redirect the attack which bumps her on the head.

Briefly stunning her, Sora turned to the other two opponents, he noticed Wakka had recovered his blitzball and was preparing to throw it. Sora's eyes narrowed with anticipation as he prepared to defend himself.

When the ball was thrown at him, he deflected the ball to Selphie knocking her on the ground and out of the fight. Wakka winced at that, "Sorry, Selphie!"

Sora took advantage at the defenseless blitzball player, and threw in several strikes at him before he yielded. Finally, it came down to Tidus, who changed in at Sora, who narrowly avoided his swings.

The two fought with their respective weapons as if they were expert swordsmen. They continued to clash their weapons until Sora managed to get the upper hand. And soon enough, with one final swing, Sora knocked Tidus's staff out of his hand. The latter raised his hands up in surrender as he stated in disbelief, "Man, you're unreal!"

Smiling with satisfaction, Sora lowered his weapon only to feel something strange. Something he never really felt before. He glanced behind him for a moment to see the new comer and some kind of robot. Sora glanced to his friends, "How long has this guy been standing there?"

"Huh?" Tidus glanced to the adult, "I don't know."

"Did he watch the entire fight?" Wakka wondered.

"I think so," Selphie nodded, "I don't recognize him from any of the main islands."

After another moment, Sora paid him no mind, "Anyways, I should probably help Riku and Kairi with the raft."

"Yeah," Tidus nodded, "Good luck."

As Sora ran off and his three friends went to something else together, the figure asked the group, "You're friend there. Has he always been this talented?"

They turned to the visitor, as Selphie asked him, "You mean Sora? Sure, I guess."

"Yeah," Wakka nodded, "Whenever he's not dazing off."

"Hey, he still managed to take us all on," Tidus pointed out, "He's probably only the second best fighter on the island next to Riku."

"Really?" The mysterious man glanced to the blue droid who whistled in response. He then asked, "What exactly had he been up to?"

"...No offense, sir," Tidus turned to the visitor, "We don't exactly know you, and I don't think we should tell you our friend's history behind his back."

The man merely chuckled, "I understand. You're good friends to stick up for him." He reassured them, "I have no intention on harming him or any of you in any way."

"Then what do you want with him?" Selphie wondered.

The man smiled fondly, "To offer him a choice."

Later on that day, Sora joined Riku and Kairi on the other side of the island where the former was waiting for him. Hey, Sora," Riku called out once he had entered the cove at the back of the island, causing Sora to stop for a minute, "Our raft still needs a name you know."

"Oh yeah, you're right," Sora nodded in agreement. It may have seemed silly to name a small raft that three kids had put together in just a few days, but everyone on Destiny Islands always had a tendency to name any seafaring vessel of any type before they set sail no matter what it was. "Do you have anything in mind?"

"Let's see…" Riku thought for a minute before a name finally came to him. "How about Highwind?"

"I don't know. That's kinda strange," Sora said.

"Well, what would you call it," Riku challenged.

"Me? Well…um," Sora hummed in response, having not really thought of anything himself. After thinking it over for a minute, Sora finally thought of something that he heard in the strange dream he had the previous day, and thinking that it was a better idea than what Riku came up with, immediately declared, "Ebon Hawk!"

"Seriously?" The silver haired boy scoffed, "Do you even know what the first word even means?!"

"No! But it sounds cool!" Sora defended his choice, "Way better than 'Highwind!'"The two were soon holding a small glare with each other for a few minutes, knowing that they would never be able to decide like this, until Sora finally asked the all important question. "The usual?"

"Let's do it," Riku smirked in reply. For these two, the usual meant that they would settle the argument with a race around the obstacle course in the cove, at least when they were actually in the cove, and unlike with their sparring matches, when it came to racing, the two were very evenly matched, having raced against each other practically since they were old enough to walk. In fact, the two had so many races up until now, that some people would occasionally say that it seemed like they had been racing even when they were only able to crawl.

Just then, the third in their trio ran up to them. It didn't take long for her to figure out what had happened, "You guys at it again?"Before either of the two could say anything in their defense, Kairi sighed in tired acceptance of the two's constant need to outdo each other somehow and declared, "All right, I'll be the judge." She then proceeded to remind them, "The usual rules apply. Take any route you want, and first one to tag the tree with the large star at the top and make it back here wins."

"Got it," both boys nodded, and they then moved into a starting position. Before they began though, Riku gained a small smirk and whispered to Sora, "Hey, Sora, care to up the stakes a little?"

Sora was a bit puzzled by this sudden suggestion, but he figured there would be no harm in it, so he just shrugged and said, "Sure. If I win, I'm captain! And if you win…"

"I get to share the paopu with Kairi," Riku interrupted.

"Huh," Sora exclaimed in shock.

Riku only smirked, knowing that he had Sora hooked from the moment that he had agreed to add some additional stakes, and then said, "Deal? The winner gets to share a paopu with Kairi."

"Wha… wait a minute," Sora feebly tried to protest. It was one thing to tease a guy about sharing a paopu fruit with the girl they had feelings for, but in Sora's opinion, this was basically saying that they were going to make Kairi into some kind of trophy, something that he was definitely not okay with.

The poor boy was instantly brought back to the matter at hand, when Kairi called out, "Okay, on my count: 3…2…1…GO!"

The minute Kairi shouted that, the two boys were off like lightning, with Riku taking an early lead due to Sora still being a bit caught off guard by the older boy's surprise stakes. Kairi watched as he two best friends race each other as she giggle to herself. Despite Riku changing, something's never seemed to change. Like Sora for instance.

Just then, the wooden door behind her opened, and R2 rolled up to her, whistling. Getting her attention, she turned in shock, before smiling, "Oh, hello... where did you come from?"

The astromech beeped once again as Luke joined them, "You might not believe us if we told you."

"Oh, are you new to the islands?" Kairi greeted the Jedi Knight.

"Just passing by actually," Luke admitted.

The islander girl then noticed the lightsaber hanging from Luke's belt, raising an eyebrow, "That device..." She turned to him curious, "You're... you're a Jedi, aren't you?"

Luke looked a bit surprised, but smiled, "I am." He then confessed, "I'm actually you're surprised you know about the Jedi."

Kairi hummed to herself, "Hmmm... I remember hearing it somewhere before but... I can't remember where..."

Luke couldn't help but ask her, "I don't suppose you've heard of the New Republic or the war against the Empire, have you?"

Kairi pondered that question for a moment before shaking her head, "Sorry..."

"It's alright," Luke reassured her, "I'm surprised that you even know what I am. There's not too many of us these days."

"So..." Kairi raised an eyebrow, "Who are you?"

"I'm Luke Skywalker," The Jedi Knight introduced himself before gesturing to the astromech, "And this is R2-D2."

Artoo whistled in greeting to her, Kairi gave the droid a pat before nodding to Luke, "I'm Kairi. Pleased to meet you."

She glanced back to the race to see Sora was trying to take the high ground to catch up with Riku. Luke turned to the race as well, "So, what caused this to happen?"

"Oh, they've always been like this," Kairi revealed to the Jedi, "Even before I came to the islands. They always competed with each other, so they could push themselves to grow stronger. It just now more than ever, they want to ensure that they're strong enough to handle anything the worlds throw at us."

"The worlds?" Luke raised an eyebrow.

"It's been a dream of ours since we were little," Kairi explained, "We wanted to see what's beyond our islands. We just need a few more supplies then we should be ready to shift off tomorrow."

"You know," Luke smiled fondly, "That actually sounds familiar."

He remembered before his journey began as a Jedi, he wanted nothing more to leave the sands of Tatooine. He could see where they were coming from. However, he knew they wouldn't get very far on a raft.

Just then, he spotted Riku running back with Sora right on his tail. The former smirked as it seemed like he was going to win the race until he noticed the Jedi. He slid to a stop shocked by the newcomer's presence. As Sora rushed past him determined to make it. Snapping out of his shock, he quickly ran after Sora only for Sora to make it back just before him. Kairi cheered for Sora as the winner pumped a fist, "YES! NOW THE SCORE IS 58-13!"

Riku merely smirked, "Man, lighten up. It's just a name. Besides, I let you win that." Sora merely glared at his friend, he knew full well that wasn't the complete reason why they raced. Riku then turned to Luke, "So, I'm guessing you're from another world too."

"As a matter of fact, I am," Luke didn't deny it.

"Really?" Sora blinked in shock.

Riku glanced at Sora and Kairi, before clearing his throat, "As interesting as it is, we do have lots of work to get working on. Don't we need supplies still?"

"Oh, right," Kairi recalled before handing Sora a list, "Sora, you mind gathering our food supplies?"

"I've got this," Sora nodded before running off past Luke to get what was on the list.

Kairi turned to the Jedi Knight, "It was nice meeting you." She then glanced to Artoo, "Both of you."

Artoo beeped as she returned to the raft, leaving the visitors alone with Riku. After a moment of silence, Riku spoke up, "You know... you're not the first visitor to come to our world."

"Really?" Luke was slightly interested, especially since this planet was unknown to both the New Republic and the Remnants of the Empire, as addition as most on this world were unsure there was life beyond this one. He asked, "Did he have a name?"

"He didn't share it," Riku admitted, "But he had strong built, long brown hair, and armor on his left arm. You know him?"

"Can't say I do," The Jedi shook his head, "I'm sorry."

"Figures," Riku turned away.

Luke then proceeded to ask, "Did he say why he came to your world."

Riku shook his head, "Can't tell ya. It's a secret."

"I understand," Luke nodded before feeling something off about Riku. Like he was interested in something within the Dark Side. He wasn't corrupted by it. Not yet. Still, it was a bit concerning. He'd have to check in on that later. He then asked, "So, you're finally going to see what's out there?"

"Kairi told you?" Riku turned back to him assumed. Luke confirmed with a nod. Riku nodded, "Yes. Finally."

"A raft will only take you so far," Luke pointed out.

"Perhaps your right," The fifteen-year-old admitted, "But if we have to, we'll think of something else."

"Can't say I didn't feel the same of wanting to get off my home planet when I was younger," Luke replied before advising, "But just be careful not to let this dream of yours lead you on a dark path. Trust me, I've seen what happens when someone's dream becomes an obsession."

Luke thought of what happened to his father before he was able to bring him back from the Dark Side. Riku merely reassured him, "I can take care of myself. So, mind your own business."

Riku then ran off to make final preparations, Artoo whimpered as Luke reassured him, "No, he's not lost. Not yet. We may be able to stir him back. Especially, if we show him that his dream can become a reality on the right path." Artoo beeped, "I will admit, he does have talents and there's a power there too. Kairi also possesses a strong light. But I'm more interested in the other boy, Sora. The Force is strong with that one."

All of a sudden, his head looked back as he felt something else. Someone powerful, and evil. He hadn't felt since... Not even bothering to explain the situation to Artoo, he ran back with his hand instantly reaching for his lightsaber, leaving the poor confused astromech rolling after him...

Meanwhile, Sora entered a hidden cave hidden behind the island's waterfall and that he and his friends had affectionately called the Secret Place since they found out what was back there when he and Riku were still just kids. He did figure he could find at least one mushroom inside the cave of course, but his reasons for going in there right now went a little beyond that. Upon entering the cave, Sora looked around and started running his hands along the walls as he looked over the various chalk drawings that he and his two best friends had made in there ever since they found out what was really in here, not really paying much mind to the weird door that had been inside for as long as he could remember, until he came upon one pair of drawings in particular.

The two drawings in question were self portraits that he and Kairi had made of each other when they were little kids. He still remembered that day like it had just been yesterday; he had brought Kairi in the Secret Place a few days after meeting her to show off all the drawings that he and Riku had already made, and upon seeing a blank space near the weird door, Kairi instantly insisted that they try to draw each other. Sora had tried to refuse, saying that he was not really that great and believing that he would not be able to do a very good job at drawing her, but even back then, Kairi had been very persistent, and so the boy ended up agreeing. Even now, after all these years, he still thought that the drawing that Kairi made of him as a child was much better than the one he made of her, but Kairi would always say that he did a good job. Looking at the drawings now though, something inside of Sora made him feel like there was something missing.

He was not sure how long he sat there thinking this, but it must have been long enough to make him feel like it could not be left alone for very long, because a minute later, he had grabbed a nearby rock and started adding on to the drawing. Once he was finished, Sora sat back and smiled a little, revealing that he had drawn himself giving a paopu fruit to Kairi. He had in fact long since admitted to himself that Kairi was the prettiest girl he had ever met and that he wanted to share a paopu fruit with her, but that did not mean he was ready to admit such a thing out loud for the whole world to know, let alone to the girl herself; he was just too shy to do so. Still, the boy could not help but dream that he would be able to work up the courage to do so one day, like he was doing right now as he looked over his handiwork, until he felt that he was not alone. Someone was in there with him. Someone... dark...

"Wh-Who's there," Sora called out, turning to a stranger with a brown cloak.

"I have come to see the door to this world," The figure answered with a deeper and older voice.

"Huh," Sora asked with his head titled a little in confusion.

"This world has been connected," the stranger explained.

"Wh-what're you talking about," Sora asked, not understanding what the man meant, but it did not seem like his question even registered with the stranger, as he just continued on with what he was saying.

"Tied to the darkness…soon to be completely eclipsed."

"Well, whoever you are, stop freaking me out like this," Sora warned in an attempt to sound brave and tough. That was when he realized something that he had not thought about before. "Wh-where did you come from?"

The reason for Sora's question went beyond the fact that he had not even heard the stranger enter the cave, because he had not ever seen anyone dressed like him anywhere on the islands, or even heard anyone with a voice like his before in his life. Like Riku had said just last night, Destiny Islands was a small world, and just about everyone knew each other no matter where they lived in reference to another person, so the fact that Sora did not recognize this person was more than enough reason for him to ask such a question. Did he come with that guy in black and his blue and white robot? The stranger did not grant Sora a proper answer though, but instead said, "You do not yet know what lies beyond the door."

"So, you're from another world too," Sora realized. Although he was unsure if he came with the other visitors.

The stranger did not give any direct confirmation to this, but Sora could have sworn that he saw the man's hood move just enough to indicate that he was nodding. "There is so very much to learn. You understand so little."

That made Sora bristle a little, and he immediately retorted, "Oh, yeah? Well, you'll see; I'm gonna get out and learn what's out there!"

"A meaningless effort," the stranger rebuked. "One who knows nothing can understand nothing."

When he saw the cloaked stranger seem to turn towards the mysterious door, Sora found his gaze moving in the same direction as well. At that point, something about what the stranger had said started bringing some old questions back up to the front of Sora's mind, and they all were in regard to this door. Just why was it here in this old cave? What did it lead to? And why did it not seem to have any kind of lock or handle? These were all things that Sora and his friends had wondered ever since the first time they had seen it, and part of Sora was tempted to ask if this strange person might know the answer. Of course, another part of him made Sora really nervous and wary of this strange person, but in the end, his curiosity won out and led the boy to turn and face the mystery man once again. When he did though, Sora's eyes widened in surprise when he saw that the man had vanished without any indication of ever being there.

Just then, he heard footsteps running toward him, he turned to see the man from another world enter the cave, his gloved hand carrying a sliver hilt. He asked him, "Are you alright?"

"That guy..." Sora slowly asked, "Was he with you?"

"No, he's not," The visitor shook his head before realizing Sora was alone. Placing the hilt on his belt, he gestured outside the Secret Place, "I suggest we leave before he comes back."

Sora nodded as he followed the man outside the cave, glancing back at him, "Who was that guy?"

"I'm not sure," Luke admitted, "But that darkness... I haven't felt anything like it since..." He trailed off before wondering, "I really hope I'm wrong about him."

Just then, the robot rolled up to the two of them, whistling in concern, the man reassured him, "We're fine, Artoo. But something tells me there's more going on than we thought."

"Was... he the reason why you came to my world?" Sora turned between the two visitors.

"Sora, is it?" The man assumed, to which Sora responded with a nod, before revealing, "Actually, I came to this world for you."

"Me?!" Sora gestured to himself in shock before wondering, "Who are you?"

"I'm Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight," Luke introduced himself before gesturing to Artoo, "And this is R2-D2." The astromech beeped greeting him before the Jedi continued, "I've been watching you. You're very gifted."

"Really?" Sora blinked in shock before shaking his head, "Listen, I'm flattered but Riku is way more gifted than I am." He turned away from Luke, "Whatever your looking for, you've got the wrong guy."

"Yes, your friend is skilled too but there is one thing you have which he doesn't," Luke admitted before asking, "Tell me, when you look upon the stars at night, have you ever felt someone else in pain, despite being worlds away..." Sora slowly came to a stop, "You also sensed my presence as well as the stranger's didn't you? And you've experienced other moments like this growing up but never truly understood why?"

Sora turned back to him, "How do you know this?"

Luke smiled, proving his theory true, "I'm like you. We both have a strong connection to the Force."

The islander tilted his head, "The Force?"

Luke recalled the same moment when he asked Obi-Wan that question, "The Force is what gives us our power. It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together. And it's strong with you." Sora looked at himself completely stunned, "It's what lead me to your world."

The spiky hair teenager looked up at him, "What do you want with me?"

The Jedi turned away and looked to the blue sky, "The duty of a Jedi Knight is to serve and protect others. Fight for peace and freedom. You must have always known that there are worlds outside your own. And right now, they're in trouble."

"Really?! How?!" Sora asked in concern.

"That's what my friends and I are trying to find out," Luke admitted, "The problem is, a conflict with our ancient enemy nearly pushed us to the brink of extinction." He turned to Sora, "That's where you come in. I would like to train you in the ways of the Force. Become a Jedi Knight."

"I... I would be able to explore the other worlds?" Sora asked him.

"Yes," Luke confirmed, "There is so much for you to learn but that would also mean you won't be coming home for a while."

"Until we figure out what's been happening... and I complete my training," The spiky hair teenager realized.

"That's correct," The Jedi Knight told him, "It's only fair to warn you that training a Jedi won't be an easy challenge and even if you succeed it'll be a hard life. But the choice must be yours."

Sora thought about it for a moment. He never knew he had such a power. But if this guy could teach him, he could probably become stronger. Strong enough to keep up with Riku. Impress Kairi. And the fact that he would be living his dream. He knew that it probably wasn't going to be easy. However, he wanted to give it a try... however... "What about Riku and Kairi?" Sora asked the Jedi Knight, "Would they be able to come?"

Luke smiled, "Truth be told, Sora, I probably wouldn't have gotten as far as I have without my friends either." He reassured him, "I will speak with them. I'm certain we can find a way to find purpose in restoring the New Republic." Sora tilted his head in confusion, Luke reassured, "I'll fill you in on the details later. So, what do you think?"

"I..." Sora crossed his arms before stating, "I have to talk to my friends about it. Not to mention, my parents."

Luke nodded in understanding, "You must do what feels right, of course." He then handed him a device, "Contact me with this when you made your decision."

After staring at the device for a moment, he placed it in one of his many pockets, "I will."

Luke smiled before turning to his droid, "Come on, Artoo. We better rejoin the others." Artoo beeped as they turned away as Sora when to go find his friends, before Luke called out to him, "Sora." The spiky-haired boy again turned to the Jedi as he told him, "May the Force be with you."

Sora nodded to him as he went back to rejoin his friends...

Meanwhile, on a planet far away from the world of the Destiny Islands, Donald Duck, Disney's Castle's Royal Magician and one of the best friends of the King, walked his way to the Throne Room to greet the King. Walking past the Broom guards, he finally reached the massive doors to the Throne Room. Clearing his throat, the magician knocked on the left door where a much smaller door opened on that side allowing Donald to enter the room. Walking towards the throne, he called out to the King, "Good morning, your Majesty."

"It's nice to see you this morn-" Donald continued until seeing that there was no one on the throne. The King wasn't there causing the duck's jaw to drop, "WAK?!"

Just then, from behind the throne, the King's dog, Pluto peaked his head behind the throne with a letter in his mouth. Seeing that it bore the King's seal, Donald took the envelope, opened it, and proceeded to read. Donald skimmed through the entire message before blinking in shock. Realizing what was at stake, he ran of the room screaming, looking for the the Captian of the King's Royal Knights.

He eventually found him, sleeping in the middle of the Royal Garden, near the GummiShip hanger. Donald shook him in an attempt to wake up the other best friend of both him and the King, "Wake up, Goofy! Wake up! This serious!"

Goofy merely continued snoring, irritating Donald. It was days like these, he often questioned why he became the Captian of the Guard in the first place. Knowing they couldn't afford to waste any more time, Donald raised a finger in the air and struck Goofy with lightning causing him to yelp. Finally awake, he turned to Donald and gave him a friendly smile, "Hey there, Donald! Good morning!"

"We've got a problem, Goofy!" Donald exclaimed before whispering to him, "But don't tell anyone..."

The knight tilted his head, "Queen Minnie?"

Donald shook his head, "Not even the Queen!"

"Daisy?"

"NOOOO!" The magician snapped, "It's top secret!"

Goofy then turned behind Donald, "G'morning, Ladies!"

Donald blinked in confusion, "What..."

He slowly turned behind him to see both Queen Minnie, alongside his sweetheart, Dasiy Duck, there. Standing behind him. And heard everything he didn't want them to find out. Daisy narrowed her eyes as she crossed her arms, "Donald... What are you hiding from us this time..."

Donald merely smiled sheepishly as he laughed nervously...

Chapter Text

Sora sat on the docks of the play island as he stared at the device Luke Skywalker gave him. He thought about what he said and what he offered. Was this the best way he would be able to see the other worlds? Becoming a Jedi Knight?

He never even heard of the term until today. Heck, he didn't really think he had any real power within him. The dreams he had said otherwise... but that's all they were right? Dreams?

However, Luke mentioned many moments of his life of how he connected with people. Even when they were from another world. Heck, he recalled when Kairi first came to the islands, he felt her distress and came to her aid, leaving everyone clueless about how a four-year-old boy realized a girl the same age ended up on the shores of the island when no one else did.

Luke said he was like him and he could teach him to master this power to defend himself and others. He also said that his friends would be offered a place to explore the worlds too but... he just didn't want to make the wrong decision.

"Hey, Sora," Riku called out to him. Sora turned around to see him, as well as Kairi, walk up to him, "We were beginning to think you were dazing off again."

Kairi looked concerned, "You okay?" Then noticing the communication device, "What's that?"

"Oh, just something, Mr. Skywalker gave me," He revealed before placing back in his pocket.

"Skywalker?" Riku repeated as he was unfamiliar with that name, "You mean that guy from another world?"

"The Jedi gave that to you?" Kairi asked him curiously.

Riku turned to Kairi, "Jedi?"

"You know what a Jedi is?" Sora turned to her shocked.

"A little," She admitted, "From back home."

"You mean from your world?" Riku turned to her equally as shocked as Sora now, "I... We didn't think you remembered... well... anything from your home world."

"Neither did I," The teenage girl admitted.

The boys glanced to each other before back at Kairi as Sora asked, "What do you know about the Jedi?"

"Well," Kairi hummed to herself, "I know they're keepers of the peace..."

"So, they're a bunch of wusses," Riku half-joked.

"They're also very powerful and could fight off entire armies from what I've heard," Kairi added making Riku's eyes widen.

After staring at Kairi for another moment, he slowly nodded, "Okaaaaay... so maybe wusses is the wrong word then." He then turned to Sora, "So, why he gave you that thing anyway?"

Sora rubbed the back of his head, "Well, he said that... that I had a power very much like his."

"Really?" Kairi gasped in shock.

Riku crossed his arms to think. Sora never had any real power. Then again, there had been instances where he could feel someone in trouble and needed help, even before Kairi appeared on the islands. These Jedi had power like that too?

Sora nodded before revealing, "He wants to train me to become a Jedi Knight too."

"WHAT?!" His two best friends gasped in shock.

"You... what are you saying?!" Riku stared at him in disbelief, "What exactly does he expect you to do?! Drop everything you're doing and go with him?!"

Sora looked nervous, "Well... those weren't his exact... words..."

Riku face-palmed himself, as Kairi admitted, "Wow, Sora. That's a big opportunity. You get to see the other worlds and learn to become even stronger."

"Kairi... don't encourage this..." Riku told the teenage girl, before turning back to Sora, "You told him, 'no,' right? Right?!"

Sora admitted, "I said that I would think about it." He then gestured to the device in his pocket, "He said to use that thing to contact him when I made a decision."

"What is there to think about?!" Riku snapped, "It's always been the three of us! We worked hard on that raft so we could visit the other worlds together and you're thinking about just throwing that all away just because some warrior peace lover offers you a chance to explore the other worlds?!"

"Wha-?" Sora shook his head, "That's not what I was-"

Riku proceeded to walk off to his boat, "Don't talk to me unless you straight up reject that guy's offer! I need to sleep this off!"

"...I was going to say I wasn't going anywhere without the two of you," Sora frowned, "He said it'd be possible for you guys to come too."

Kairi sat down beside him, "I'm sure once he calms down, he'll realize that you wouldn't be even considering it if there was a chance we weren't there with you."

Sora sighed to himself as Kairi stated, "You know, Riku's changed."

"What do you mean," Sora asked, having not expected that statement at all.

"Well…" Kairi started to say, but in all honesty, she could not find the words to really describe what she was thinking in regards to her statement. There was just something about their friend lately that made her nervous for some reason.

"You okay," Sora asked in concern. He had honestly been enjoying this little moment that they were sharing and did not want it to be hurt by any ill feelings that Kairi may or may not have had at the time.

Sensing her friend's concern for her, Kairi quickly attempted to change the subject. "Sora, let's accept the Jedi's offer and go! Just then two of us!"

"Huh," Sora gasped in surprise while hoping the blush that was forming on his face at the thought was hidden well enough by the sunset.

A minute later, Kairi giggled a bit and said, "Just kidding."

"What's gotten into you? You're the one that's changed, Kairi," Sora chuckled in good humor, though he was a little disappointed to hear that her declaration had been a little joke.

"Maybe," Kairi mused quietly. Honestly, some small part of her did want to go out on the raft with only Sora, but she was not sure if she was ready to admit that to him just yet. She was just glad that he did not seem to notice anything that said otherwise, including the slight tinge of pink that had reached her cheeks when she realized what she said. "You know, I was a little afraid at first, but now I'm ready," Kairi then admitted in regards to their upcoming adventure. "No matter where I go or what I see, I know I can always come back here. Right?"

"Yeah, of course," Sora immediately nodded in confirmation, completely sure that such a thing was indeed true as well. But if he accepted Luke's offer, he might not be back for a while, but he knew she would be able to.

"That's good," Kairi smiled and nodded before wondering, "What do you think about Luke's offer?"

"Well I would be lying if I said I wasn't interested," Sora admitted before adding, "He also said there's something wrong with the worlds."

"What do you mean?" Kairi tilted her head in concern.

"I can't say for certain but I think there's people out there in trouble," Sora admitted before turning to her, "If I accept Mr. Skywalker's offer, maybe I can do something help them."

Kairi smiled at him before stating, "If you believe that, then accept the offer. You've always wanted to help people and if you believe this is the best way, then Riku and I have your back."

"Thanks," He really needed to her that.

"Sora..." Kairi paused for a moment, "...don't ever change."

"Huh," Sora asked in surprise.

"I just can't wait," She stood up back up on the dock, "Once we see what's out there, it'll be great."

Sora looked back to the sunset before back to the com... guess he needed to speak with his parents...

"Donald, Sorry to rush off without sayin' goodbye, but there's big trouble brewin'. I thought things would be easier with the Emperor's death and the Empire's been falling apart, but the stars have been blinkin' out, one by one. And that means disaster can't be far behind and I don't know why this is happenin'. I hate to leave you all but I've gotta go check into it. There's someone with a "key"—the key to our survival. So I need you and Goofy to find him, and stick with him. Got it? We need that key or we're doomed! So go to Traverse Town and find Leon. He'll point you in the right direction."

"P.S. Would ya apologize to Minnie for me? Thanks, pal."

After being discovered by both his sweetheart and the Queen, he revealed the King's letter to them in the castle's library as well as Goofy. Everyone was stunned by this new information as Daisy gasped, "Oh, dear! What could this mean?!"

"It means..." Minnie frowned that her husband left without saying a word but trusted his judgment, "...we'll just have to trust the king."

"Gwarsh, I sure hope he's all right," Goofy became deeply concerned for King Mickey.

Donald stepped forward towards the queen, "Your Highness. Don't worry. We'll find the king and this 'key.'"

Queen Minnie gave a small smile in apperception, "Thank you." She then turned to the knight, "Both of you."

The royal magician then asked, "Daisy, can you take care of the—"

He didn't even to finish the sentence for Daisy to realize what he was asking, "Of course. You be careful, now, both of you."

"Oh, and to chronicle your travels," She then gestured to a table nearby, "...he will accompany you."

Donald didn't see anyone there at first, but when he squinted his eyes, he spotted a small well-dressed cricket hopping to get his attention, "Over here!" Removing his hat, he greeted him with a respectful bow, "Cricket's the name. Jiminy Cricket at your service."

"We hope for your safe return." Minnie said taking her eyes off Jiminy and back to Donald and Goofy. "Please help the king. And may the Force be with you all."

Donald pledged once more before he noticed Goofy standing beside Minnie and Daisy. He saluted to Donald as if seeing him off.

"You're coming too!" Donald yelled grabbing Goofy and dragging him off...

On their way to the Hanger Bay where the GummiShip was, where Jiminy explained how he got to Disney Castle. Goofy gasped in shock, "Gawrsh, Jiminy, your world disappeared, too?"

"It was terrible. We were scattered," Jiminy explained the Captian of the King's royal knights, "And as far as I can see, I'm the only one who made it to this castle."

Donald spoke up, "Goofy?"

Donald mentally hoped the number one rule that they had to follow and ensure the bearer of the key would know too. He really hoped Goofy remember so he wouldn't screw it up. Goofy then realized what Donald was reminding him, "Oh, right..." He then looked up back to Jiminy, "I gotcha. Ya mean, while we're in other worlds, we can't let on where we're from. We've gotta protect the world border."

Donald corrected him, "Order!"

"Right! World order," Goofy chuckled as Donald sighed. It was probably as close as he was going to get with him. Goofy then looked down to their current clothes, "I guess we'll need new duds when we get there."

They eventually arrived at the hanger with the GummiShip was waiting for them. The room was all mechanical, white gloved hands helping things run, gadgets and levers everyone. All run by two little chipmunks. In the center of it was a little red and yellow ship.

Finally Donald approached a horn and spoke into it. "Hello up there? Donald Duck to launch crew! Anytime you're ready!"

One Chipmunk by the name of Chip saluted while the another by the name of Dale ran behind him and pulled down a lever. Smoke blew and the mechanical hand came down, depositing both Goofy and Donald into the ship... upside down much to the latter's annoyance.

Pluto quickly ran towards the ship before hopping inside along with the King's best friends. The Mickey Mouse shaped doors opened as the ship prepared to launch. Minnie and Daisy watched in silence. Donald, turned back to Daisy, he gave her a thumbs up and a wink.

The engine's started as Donald and Goofy we ready to face the great unknown to find the 'key' and the King. The former pointed a charging finger at their destination, "BLAST OFF!"

However, and arrow pointed down began to glow causing the Gummiship to fall into the abyss below causing a small panic for those inside the ship.

"WWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKK!"

"YAAAH-HOO-HOO-HOO-HOOEY!"

Little did they know, the ship would fall out of the other side of the planet before finally blasting off into space before it went into light speed...

Meanwhile, back on the islands, the sun finally set upon the world. The Millennium Falcon was once again near Luke's X-Wing. However, due to this being the first spacecraft craft ever to land upon this world, there wasn't much room but they were able to manage.

While, Luke tracked down their Force-User with Artoo, everyone else explored the islands. While the inhabitants did get some strange looks at first, mostly at Chewbacca and C-3PO, they still welcomed them with open arms.

They eventually reunited at the ships, as Han stared at the bizarre star-shaped fruit on the trees, "That's an interesting shaped fruit."

"Oh, it was a most interesting tale, Master Han," Threepio spoke up, "According to legend, if two people share one, their destinies become intertwined. They'll become a part of each other's lives no matter what."

Han merely chuckled, "Okay, now that's the most ridiculous legend I ever heard."

"I think it's rather sweet," Leia smiled at the fruit.

"Um... exactly what I was thinking..." Han cleared his throat, he turned to his co-pilot, "Chewie... could you get some of those Star fruits with us." The Wookiee howled in response, as Han replied, "I know what I said. Just... do it for me."

He then glanced to Leia before the Wookiee nodded in acknowledgment as he went to pick off some paopu fruits. Just then, Luke and Artoo returned to the ships. The latter rolled up to Threepio, "Artoo, I trusted you behaved yourself for once."

Artoo merely beeped in response as Han walked up to Luke, "So, you find your Force-user then?"

"I have," Luke confirmed, "He's a teenage boy named Sora."

"Teenager?" Han raised an eyebrow, "How old are we talking about here? Like practically adult-like when we all met or..."

"If I had to guess," The Jedi Knight admitted, "I'd say fourteen."

Han whistled, before asking, "And you're absolutely certain that we need him to figure out what's been happening...?

"...and stop it. I'm certain," Luke confirmed, "The boy has a strong connection to the Force, and has some talent with a blade. Not to mention, he's kind to others and is loyal to his friends. With the proper training, I foresee that he could be a great Jedi."

"Then where is he?" Leia asked her brother, "If he's this important, why isn't he here now?"

"Back on Tatooine, Obi-Wan gave me a choice to become a Jedi," Luke revealed, "It's only fair I offer Sora a choice to become a Jedi." He then glanced to his sister, "I also may of expanded that offer for his friends to join the New Republic. It's been their dream of theirs to leave this one to explore others."

"Well, it's only a matter of time before the rest of the galaxy discover this system as well," Leia sighed and smiled, "I suppose I could speak with this world's mayor and contact the other senators. We can open an academy here." She then turned to Luke, "If Sora's that important, we could say his friends were exclusively picked to be the first."

Luke smiled in apperception before frowning, as his sister turned to him in concern, "What is it?"

"Sora's not the only one I discovered here. Not to mention, we're not the first to visit this world and I sensed his presence," The Jedi Knight confessed, "Whoever he was, is strong with the dark side, I haven't felt anything like him since the Emperor."

Leia froze at that before Han shook his head, "Wait a minute, you said Vader killed him when saving you! How is that possible?!"

"I never said it was the Emperor, and I don't believe it's a Sith," Luke tried to reassure them as the Wookiee returned with the star shaped fruits, "But I'm not saying he's not the same amount of a threat as the Emperor was, either."

"So we could be dealing with a whole new enemy that could already be on the Emperor's level," Leia gasped.

Threepio muttered, "Oh, dear..."

"All the more reason why we need the Jedi," Luke admitted, "To confront this darkness before it has chance to get a hold of the galaxy again."

Leia then glanced around, before asking, "This boy of yours, does he have spiky hair, big shows, and clothes have lots of pockets and zippers."

"That would be an accurate description," The Jedi admitted.

The former smuggler turned to the Princess, "Wait, can you... sense him?"

"No, he's right there," Leia gestured behind the others.

Luke smiled, who did sense the boy's presence, turned to see Sora stare in awe at the spacecrafts, "Wow..."

The protocol droid turned to Sora, "Oh, hello. I am C-3PO: Human Cyborg Relations..."

"Woah! Another robot!" Sora jaw dropped in awe.

Artoo beeped in amusement while Threepio seemed offended, "I beg your pardon? I am C-3PO : Human Cyborg Relations. I am no mere robot as you so simply put it. I am a highly sophisticated protocol droid. And I- wait! What are you doing!?" Sora started knocking on his golden plating. "Stop that! I insist that you desist!"

"You really are a robot," Sora breathed.

"I am not a simple robot! I am C-3PO: Human Cyborg Relations."

"Cut the kid some slack," Han called out to the golden droid, "They never had droids in general on the planet before."

Luke approached the boy, who pulled out the device, "I would have contacted you... if I knew how to work this thing."

"That's alright," Luke reassured him, "I probably should have given you a quick tutorial."

Sora rubbed the back of his head, "Listen, I never really heard of the Jedi before, expect you and Kairi mentioned me today. But if the worlds are in trouble, I want to do my part to help, I know Riku and Kairi want to help too."

Leia glanced to Han, "I like this kid."

"You would," The General nodded.

"So, you're mind is set then," Luke asked him.

"If being a Jedi means I can help others," The teenager spoke up, "Then yes."

Luke smiled as he patted Sora on the shoulder, "Well then, both your journey to becoming a Jedi begins tomorrow." He then gestured to the others, "In the meantime, let me introduce you to my friends."

He gestured to the Princess of Alderaan, "This is my twin sister, Leia." She gave the boy a kind smile before he gestured to the former smuggler, "The Captain of the Millennium Falcon, Han Solo."

"Hey, kid," Han nodded.

He gestured to the droids, "You've already met, Threepio and Artoo."

Just then, then the Wookiee exited the Falcon as Sora stared in awe, "Whoa! You're huge! You must be really strong!"

Chewie howled as he ruffled Sora's hair as Han commented, "Hmmm... Chewie likes you. He tried to kill me when we first met."

Sora chuckled before frowning, "Oh, boy... what am I going to tell my parents."

"Don't worry," Leia approached him, "We'll speak to them. Along with your friends' parents as well. We'll get you all caught up on our technology and the current state of the galaxy."

Sora smiled in apperception when all of a sudden Luke grunted. Everyone turned to him in concern as Chewie murmured in concern. Luke revealed to the others, "I sense a disturbance in the Force. I fear something terrible just happened."

Suddenly they could hear a rumble of thunder rumbling as Leia looked up to the sudden cloudy sky, "Where did that storm come from?"

Han couldn't help but state, "I have a bad feeling about this."

"Oh no!" Sora gasped in horror, "The raft! Riku and Kairi might still be on the island to keep it safe!"

Sora quickly ran back to his boat despite Luke's protests, "Wait, Sora! It's too dangerous!" However, to boy didn't slow down, Luke sighed as he turned to the others, "Prep the ships! We might need a quick exit!"

As Artoo beeped as Threepio gasped, "Oh my! Artoo's sensors say the planet's core has gone unstable! If we don't leave soon, the planet will implode!"

Leia's eyes widened in horror, "No... not again..."

"Chewie start the ship, we getting anyone we can onto the Falcon and getting off!" Han exclaimed as he and Leia rushed off to help the people of this world.

Threepio turned to the astromech, "I don't understand, Artoo! What could have happened?"

Artoo whimpered in response...

Once he had reached the dock on said island and managed to tie his boat to said dock as quickly as possible, Sora jumped out of his boat and onto the dock so he could run over to the cove, only to stop and look up when another thunderbolt boomed overhead. When he did though, he found himself pausing in shock at what he saw.

"What's that," Sora gasped, for there in the sky was not a storm cloud, but what looked to be a massive orb of swirling, dark energies, which was slowly growing in size with each thunder clap and streak of lightning that erupted from it. Sora did not need to be a genius to know that whatever that was, it was probably responsible for what was going on and he probably did not want to be near it, so he decided to quickly check on the raft and then row back to the main island as fast as possible. At least, that was his plan until something else in the water next to the dock caught his eyes. "Riku's boat. And Kairi's!"

The minute he noted the presence of the previously mentioned boats, Sora knew that his friends were definitely somewhere on the island right now, and he could not just leave them behind with something like this going on. He was about to take off running to look for his two friends when he ended up taking a step back in fright at what he saw blocking his path forward. There on the shore before him, was a slowly growing horde of the same, black creatures he had fought in the weird dream he had just the other day, and it did not take any of them long to start heading straight towards him. Sora's first instinct upon seeing them coming towards him was to whip out his wooden sword and take a hard swing at the closest one of them, but to his surprise, the toy just passed right through the monster like it was made of nothing but air. Sora made another attempt at attacking the strange creatures but his attempt only yielded the exact same results, along with each of the attempts that had followed after.

"What's going on here? I was able to get rid of these things easily in that dream I had the other day," Sora muttered to himself.

Unfortunately, as he was thinking this to himself, one managed to catch him off guard. Five surrounded him and prepared to pounce at him. All at once the jumped at the boy, Sora raised his wooden sword weakly in a final attempt to block the blow...

...but it never came. Puzzled, Sora looked back up at his would-be attackers, to see they were being held back by some kind of invisible force. Sora glanced around and spotted Luke back on the docks as his rented boat floated on the water. Even more shockingly, his gloved hand was stretched out at the monsters. That's when it occurred to Sora... he was using his power to hold them back.

Pulling his arm back, the Jedi Knight thrust forward as if it push them which caused the monsters sent flying back crashing into the shack or the land destroying them. More monsters cautiously approached their new opponent, as he simply removed his black cloak and unhooked the silver hilt from his belt. Holding the device in both hands, Sora watched as a finger pushed a trigger.

*PSSSSHHHHHEEEWWW!*

Much to Sora's awe, a bright green glowing rod extended out of the top and gave out quite a loud hum noise. Luke's eyes narrowed at his opponents as they stalked the Jedi Knight...

Luke had no idea what these creatures were or where they came from. From observation, they were not native to this planet, nor any other. In fact, he felt great darkness with these creatures, as if they were born from the darkness itself.

However, he knew they were the cause of many worlds' destruction and they were threatening his Padawan, who was likely their only hope in stopping what was coming, and he couldn't let these creatures take him. Luke went into his preferred Jedi stance, Form V as he glanced at his opponents ready to attack him and his first student.

The creatures charged at the Jedi Knight, which immediately brought them a swift end through as single strike from his lightsaber. He proceeded to cut through the creatures in two before they faded away.

When he spotted another group prepared to attack the boy, Luke Force jumped to his side and defended him from his would-be attackers. With quick movements, he cut two down before kicking a third away. He then Force Pushed them all away to give them some breathing room. Sora stared in awe, "Whoa!"

Luke glanced at his new Padawan before offering him a hand, "Are you alright?"

"Y-yeah," Sora took the hand as Luke helped him up, "Where'd you learn to do that?"

"I'm afraid those lessons they will have to wait once we leave," The Jedi Knight told the boy, "We need to find your friends and get back to the ships."

"Riku's and Kairi's boats were at the docks," Sora exclaimed, "They must be here!"

"I sense them nearby as well," Luke told the boy as the Heartless began to return with reinforcements, "Get behind me, I'll clear a path to Riku."

Sora nodded and followed his new mentor's instructions, as they raced to the bridge to the smaller island, the Jedi Knight cut down all the monsters in their path.

If they made it out of here in one piece, if the spiky hair boy could learn even an inch of knowledge of what this man could do, he might finally be even the score when it came to sword play. Sora then glanced at the shack up ahead, "There! We can take the stairs to get to the bridge!"

"No time!" The Jedi Knight called back as he sliced a monster in two before it vanished as well, "We'll take a short cut!"

"What short cu-WHOA!" Before Sora could finish his question, he was lifted off the ground and was thrown to the bridge where he stumbled landing on his feet where Luke easily jumped up there beside him, "Okay, you're teaching me that when this is over."

As more Heartless approached them, Luke turned to Sora, "I'll hold them off, you get Riku."

Nodding Sora ran two the island where Riku was standing next to the paopu tree, seemingly unaware of the danger they were in. The minute that the spiky-haired boy had reached his older friend, he immediately called out, "Riku where's Kairi?! I thought she was with you!"

Riku did not say anything for a minute, but when he did speak, he said something that Sora was not expecting to hear at all. "The door has opened…"

"What," Sora asked.

"The door has opened, Sora," Riku repeated as he turned to face his friend. "Now we can go to the outside world!"

"What're you talking about? We've gotta find Kairi," Sora protested, while some small part of him started thinking that his friend had gone crazy.

"Kairi's coming with us," Riku immediately reassured him, making Sora freeze in surprise. The silver-haired boy then looked up to the dark orb in the sky, and revealed, "Once we step through, we might not be able to come back. We may never see our parents again. There's no turning back, but this may be our only chance. We can't let fear stop us! I'm not afraid of the darkness!"

At this point, that small part of Sora that was thinking Riku had gone crazy instantly became much bigger and much more pronounced, and that only grew when Riku extended a hand to him, beckoning him to come with him even as a pit of darkness suddenly sprang up beneath his feet and began to engulf him from the ground up. Before Sora could react to this sudden surprise, another pit had opened up beneath his feet and started dragging him in as well, and he instantly reached out towards Riku, hoping to pull him out from whatever this was.

As Luke finished off the next wave of Heartless, he turned back to the teenage boys, his eyes widened, "Wait! Sora pull back! Don't let the darkness take you!"

As Riku vanished from his sight, Sora pulled away but the darkness began to cloud his sight even as Luke ran to him. Just when it seemed like the shadows would end up taking him, a small light suddenly flashed before his eyes and then began to glow brighter and brighter until the darkness around Sora disappeared completely.

After taking a minute to catch his breath, Sora looked around for Riku, only to find that his friend had indeed vanished, much to his dismay, but then, he noticed that there was something in his hand that had not been there before, drawing his attention to the object in question. When he laid eyes on said object, Sora's eyes widen in awe, for there in his hands, was a large, key-shaped sword...

"Keyblade... Keyblade..."

Sora stared at it in shock, wondering where it came from. Luke was equally as perplexed of it as he muttered to himself, "Interesting..."

Sora looked around, "What happened to Riku? What was that?"

"He's no longer on the islands," Luke revealed, "And thankfully you pulled out when you did or the darkness would have taken you as well." Sora looked like he had a million questions going through his head, "Questions will have to wait... you still have another that needs our help."

"Kairi..." Sora whispered in concern.

Suddenly, monsters surrounded the two, making them stand back to back in their battle stances. Heartless leaped at them as Luke cut three down while Sora swing his newly acquired weapon...

...and struck one down as well. Sora beamed, "I got one... I got one!"

"Great, Sora," Luke nodded, "But don't get cocky!"

Sora nodded as the two sprung into action as Luke lead the way. Cutting down each and every creature in their path, this would be the first time in many years where Master and Padawan would fight side by side against uncountable forces of darkness.

They soon jumped back on to the beach, cutting down more of the dark creatures, before arriving at the Secret Place, where a large white door blocked their path. Sora stared in confusion, "This... this wasn't here before..."

"It'll be alright," The Jedi Knight reassured the boy before outstretched his free hand, "Trust in the Force..."

After a moment, the doors opened at Luke's command, he then turned to his new Padawan, "Quickly, before more arrive."

Master and Padawan quickly rushed inside the cave in hopes to reach the girl as the former deactivated his lightsaber.

*Ssshhhhhhhhp!*

Once they were through the entrance to the cave, Sora and Luke quickly sprinted further in, until the two had finally reached the innermost point of the cave where all the drawings he and his had made were, and there, standing just in front of the strange door, was the very person they had been looking for. Sora called out to her, "Kairi!"

Shockingly, Kairi did not react in the way they had expected. Both had honestly thought she would have spun around and run over to Sora in relief that one of her friends had found her and was alright, but instead, she just slowly turned around and faced them with a look that one normally saw a person who was not entirely awake.

"Sora," Kairi softly called out in a drowsy sort of voice while slowly raising a hand towards Sora, confusing them even more.

To Luke, something didn't feel right with Kairi. Did she hit? If so, they might need a medical droid once they get back to the New Republic to check her out. However, before either could do anything, the door behind Kairi burst open, releasing a powerful gust of wind that pushed the girl directly toward Sora. There was no need for him to even think, as Sora just spread his arms wide, fully intending to catch her before she fell flat on her face. Just when Kairi finally reached him and before he could so much as brush his arms against her, both were shocked when Kairi seemed to phase right through the spiky hair boy like a ghost and then disappear.

Then the wind picked up even further, pushing both Sora and Luke out of the cave. The former looked like he was on the verge of passing out, and it's likely Luke would have to if not for his Jedi training. Seeing the planet was ripping apart, he knew had to act quickly if Falcon was going to reach in time. He managed to flip himself onto the remains of a tree before using the Force to grab onto Sora.

He then spotted a chunk of the planet with some gravitational force still at play, he carried Sora over to it. Once he was safe, he used his agility to leap from debris to debris to reach the same land his Padawan was on. Sora backed away from the ledge in shock, "Whoa!"

Luke reached his coms, "Han! Leia! Please tell me you were able to get the Falcon to take off!"

"Luke! Thank the Force your alright!" He heard his sister's voice sigh in relief, "Where are you? The planet is falling apart as we speak!"

"Still on what's left on it," Luke replied, "I was able to get to Sora in time! But we're going to need a ride! Quickly!"

"Don't worry, Artoo's guiding us through the storm using your comlink," Han's voice spoke up, "But you're going to need to hold out as long as you can. This isn't exactly as easy as navigating through an asteroid belt. Just keep your heads down until then?"

Just then, something began rising from the ground, getting both Sora and Luke's attention. It was another monster, but it was a lot bigger than the other ones. Giant sized in fact. Sora recalled the monster from his dream, and he failed to stop it then. Luke quickly reactivated his lightsaber.

*PSSSSHHHHHEEEWWW!*

"You might want to pick up the pace," The Jedi told them as he twirled his weapon into his battle stance as Sora did the same with his Keyblade.

The giant reared its first back as it was charging up something before slamming into the ground. Creating a small dark portal more of the smaller ones appeared. Luke instructed Sora, "You take take the little ones, I handle the bigger one."

Sora nodded as he faced the smaller creatures as Luke jumped and ran up the giant's arm. Once on its shoulder, the Jedi plunged his weapon into the giant's head, which would have killed most creatures. However, it looked like it only made it angry much to Luke's shock. Guess, it didn't need a brain to function, whatever it was.

Pulling out the saber, he saw his weapon was still doing some damage to it so he tried slicing it a few times before returning to the ground just as Sora finished off the smaller monsters. The two stood side by side as they prepared to face the giant.

Before the creature could make its move something zoomed through the storm...

*PEW! PEW! PEW! PEW!*

Red blazing laser bolts struck the creature pushing back and zooming passed it was Luke's X-Wing. Artoo beeped in the Luke's coms, as the Jedi smiled, "Nice shot, Artoo!"

The Falcon flew towards Sora and Luke as the ram opened and Leia ran out with a blaster in hand, "Quickly, the planet doesn't much time left!"

"Get in there! We'll see each other on safer grounds," Luke instructed to his first student.

Both Sora and Luke sped off to the ships, while the giant monster summoned more of the little ones to chase after the boy. However, Leia provided Sora with cover fire, blasting any of them that were too close to the boy.

Luke hopped in his X-Wing as Leia helped Sora board the Falcon. The Princess blasted a few more monsters as she slowly backed her way into the ship before closing the cargo doors. She called out, "We've got 'em!"

"Punch it, Chewie!" She heard Han shout. She turned to the painting Sora observing the weapon in his hand.

She checked on Sora, "Are you alright?"

"I think..." The boy nodded.

"Sora?"

Sora turned to see many people he knew from the islands, including Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie. Shocked they were here, he turned to Leia who explained, "While you went back to the other island, we help evacuate anyone we could..."

Sora turned to her, "And my parents?"

He didn't see them among the other people. She looked at him with sympathy as she admitted, "I don't know..."

Sora frowned at that before the ship shook a little, startling everyone else, she instructed, "Strap yourselves in!" She then turned to Sora, "Follow me."

He followed Luke's sister into the cockpit, and saw Han and Chewie piloting the Falcon out of the collapsing planet. Leia asked, "What hit us?"

"Whatever these pests are," Han's eyes narrowed, "They can look and act like enemy fighters too."

They saw several purple ships with symbols of a corrupted heart flying past them as they shot at them. Chewie roared in annoyance, Han nodded, "I see them!"

Threepio exclaimed, "Sir, the probability of successfully navigating a collapsing planet was bad before but successfully navigating a collapsing planet when enemy ships are trying to destroy is precisely 500,200,600 to one!"

"I told you once and I'll tell ya again," Han's eyes narrowed as he took evasive action, "Never tell me the odds!"

The Falcon dodged the incoming enemy ships along with debris from the planet and speeds unfamiliar to Sora. Before a lucky enemy could hit them, it was blasted away from Luke's X-Wing, "Focus on getting the survivors out of here! I'll deal with the fighters!"

"What about you?!" Leia asked.

"It's alright! I'll be right behind you," Luke's voice spoke again as he blasted more monster ships away from the others.

Soon enough, they successfully exited the collapsing atmosphere as Leia asked, "Where are we going?!"

"Honestly, New Republic or independent, I don't care!" Han replied, "Anywhere's better than here! We can report to the others once we make it out of this!"

Chewie howled as Han turned to him, "I'll take it!" He then reached for the coms, "Luke meet us at these coordinates!"

"Alright, I'll see you there," Luke replied as destroyed the remaining enemy ships.

Leia helped Sora to a set and fastened him in before going into her own, as Han activated the hyperdrive, "Alright, hold on!"

Then the Falcon seem to go still before they seem to fly past the stars much to Sora's awe as they began traveling at light speed...

Once Luke saw that the Falcon was out of danger, he activated his own hyperdrive and went into hyperspace as the world of the Destiny Islands met its end.

However, from a lone chunk of debris where Sora and Luke battled the mega-size Heartless, the brown-cloaked figure watched the events unfold as he muttered to himself, "You and your friends should have stayed out of this conflict... Jedi... now you and everything you hold dear will suffer..."

He turned to see the future vessel approaching him as he smirked under his hood...

Notes:

And that will conclude the start of Sora's journey as Luke's Padawan. And he hasn't even learned the word Padawan yet. But hey, at least our SW OG crew saved more people from the islands before they fell.

I'm sure those of you are wondering, why didn't they call the New Republic to help with the evacuation? The answer, even if they did get the time to send a transmission and send them where the islands were, by the time they got there, it'd likely already be too late. Otherwise, I'm certain Leia would have tried.

At least Sora and Leia have something they can relate to... yeah, I know... still too soon.

Anyways, onto the preview, while Donald and Goofy end up with some problems with the Gummiship, our heroes discover the world of Traverse Town as they try to figure out what happened. Luke makes contact with his Jedi Masters and Father for guidance and ends up realizing that the situation with Sora was a tad bit higher than he expected. Not to mention, what happens when Leon shows up? How will our heroes change their first meeting? Stay tuned.

I hope you enjoyed the chapter. Be sure to leave a review. Also, be sure to leave a follow and fav. as well to show your support. See ya real soon and may the Force be with you. Always.

Chapter 3: Welcome to Traverse Town

I don't own Kingdom Hearts or Star Wars. They belong to LucusFilms, Disney, and Square Enix. And here we are with another chapter after all this time. There's a reason for it and well... you can probably guess when you reach the end of the chapter. Anyways, with that out of the way, here's chapter 3!

Chapter Text

As the Falcon traveled through hyperspace, Leia went back to check on the survivors with Threepio, providing reassurance, and promising the New Republic would cater to their every need. The only thing she couldn't provide was answers as she didn't have all the answers. What were those things? Why were they going around destroying planets? Why their world? All she could promise them was she would tell them once she and the New Republic figured it out themselves.

This brought back a lot of bad memories. Back when the Empire destroyed her homeworld and all who lived there. That helplessness in stopping it. Only this time, she had no idea what they were up against or how to stop it. If the Remnant of the Empire were involved, they were awfully quiet about it. But if it wasn't them, who was responsible for the creatures that were capable of destroying planets?

Soon enough, she spotted Sora sitting amongst himself, observing the weapon he acquired just before the destruction of his home planet, making it vanish before reappearing in his hand. She had to admit, it was the most bizarre weapon she had ever seen. Effective, but bizarre nonetheless. Still, she knew what was going through the boy's head. He had just lost his parents, closest friends, and his planet all on the same day. That was more than anyone his age should have to go through. Not to mention, the boy could use the Force, Luke confirmed as much so he probably felt it all happening during the planet's final moments.

She turned to the protocol droid, "See if anything you can do for the other survivors. I need a moment with Sora."

"Of course, your Highness," Threepio nodded before walking off.

Princess Leia walked up to Sora and sat beside him, "Hey, you okay?"

"I'm fine," Her brother's student replied in a non-convincing tone before admitting, "It's just... yesterday was going so well before those... things showed up."

Leia nodded in understanding, Sora, along with the rest of the surviving residents of the Destiny Islands, were all going through what she had been through when she lost her home world as well. Truth be told, in a way, it did remind her of home. Sure, while it lacked technology and land, it also appeared to be a very peaceful planet. No weapons of any kind, minus the few the security had on for criminals, and just children's toys like wooden swords. Everyone was having a good time... no... good lives until those monsters showed up. And in Sora's case, the chance to explore other worlds with his friends was a dream come true to him.

How did everything go so wrong? What were those things? Did the Remnant of the Empire create them? The only thing she could say for certain that they were the monsters responsible for the many planets' destructions. Sitting beside him, "I'm sorry. What happened to your home... should have never happened to begin with."

She wasn't that surprised when Sora didn't respond. She told him, "I know what it's like to watch your home die."

Lifting up his head, he turned to the Princess, she told him, "Much like your world, Alderaan was a peaceful world. No conflict, no weapons... but it was also destroyed by a great evil."

"Those monsters?" Sora wondered.

"No, this is our first encounter with them as well," Leia reassured him before explaining, "My world was destroyed by the Empire."

"Empire?" Sora tilted his head.

"I'm not shocked that you never heard of it, in that way I envy you," Leia admitted before explaining, "The Empire was an oppressive dictatorship that since I was child ruled over the galaxy with an iron fist. To ensure no one would stand up to them, they wiped out most of the Jedi Order and made a planet killer to destroy anyone who would oppose them."

"Planet killer?" Sora gasped in horror, "...but... that's... that's messed up!"

"I know. Do you want to know what happened to them?" Leia asked the islander. He nodded in response as she told him, "We stopped them. We destroyed their planet killers, along with their Emperor, and freed the galaxy from their tyranny. The New Republic will find a way to stop the monsters as well. You and Luke will play a big part in that as well."

Sora thought for a moment, before wondering, "What can I do to help?"

Leia smiled before Threepio walked up to them, "Your Highness, Captain... well... I should say General Solo has made contact with Master Calrissian. He was informing him about the creatures we encountered on the Destiny Islands."

Leia stood up before turning to Sora, "You want to help? It probably would be easy to convince your islands ever existed with you. The other survivors could help with that too but since you'll be working with us, you might as well introduce yourself to everyone."

Sora thought for a moment before nodding, "Alright..."

Standing up, he followed the Princess to the cockpit of the Falcon, frowning at the grim faces of the other survivors of the islands. As soon as they reached there, Sora witnessed a small man with a 3-D like projection in front of the two pilots of the ship. The man tilted his head, "You sure you're feeling alright, Han? Another Death Star would be one thing, but shadow monsters? On a world that completely missed over centuries of wars?"

"As crazy as it sounds, that's exactly what happened," Han told his old friend, "The Islands, the monsters, all of it. And is it any more crazy than Jedi and the Force?"

"Look, I want to believe you," Lando replied, "But good luck trying to convince the senators of the New Republic. Without proof, they may take longer to act."

"But that's exactly what happened!" Sora ran up to the pilots seats, "I saw it all!"

"Hey, hey, easy kid," Han told the teen as Chewie roared softly in agreement.

"Who's this?" The former owner of the Falcon wondered.

"This is Sora, a resident of the Islands," Leia explained gently pulled the boy back, "He was also there when the creatures destroyed his planet."

Lando's eyes widened, before looking to Sora with compassion, "I'm sorry, kid. I didn't know." He sighed before asking, "Are there any more survivors?"

"We were able to evacuate a handful of residents of the Islands before the planet fell," Hans answered, "And picked up some it's fruit which is foreign to the rest of the galaxy. That might convince our superiors that not only the islands existed but so does the current threat."

"Yes, that should help," Lando nodded, "Try to get the survivors to somewhere safe while I convince the New Republic can support the refugees. Hopefully, they act fast enough that we can prevent other planets from sharing this fate."

Just then, something on the Falcon started to beep, as Sora went on the alert, "What was that?"

Chewie growled as Han translated, "Something big is up ahead. Odd thing is, the coordinates were set to neutral space. Nothing should be there."

"We said the same with the islands," Leia pointed out, "If those things act again, they may not have time to evacuate."

"Fair point, could be worth checking out," Han added before reaching to a second communication device, "You hear that Luke?"

"I did," Luke's voice spoke up, "I sense life on it as well. I also sense the dark side having a presence there as well."

Chewie growled as they exited out of hyperspace as Lando nodded, "I'll send New Republic support ships to your coordinates, along with Rogue Squadron. Can't be too careful these days."

"We see you there, Lando," Luke replied, "And Sora, I'll have a word with you when we land."

"With the kid?" The former gambler raised an eyebrow,"What do you want from him?"

"Sora's going to be Luke's Padawan," Leia answered, "He believes Sora could be the key in stopping this and could be a potential Jedi."

"A Jedi Padawan?" Lando nodded with a smile before turning back to Sora, "In that case, Sora, welcome to the New Republic. I look forward to meeting you in person."

Sora smiled and nodded. Before the transmission ended, he told the others, "I'll see the rest of you soon. May the Force be with us all."

Sora turned to others, "He seems nice."

"He is but he wasn't always," Leia replied as they exited hyperspace.

Everyone's eyes widened at the sight of the new world, as Sora whispered, "I don't believe it. It's another world..."

"Don't get too excited, kid," Han cautioned the young man, "Luke mentioned the dark side having a presence here so chances are we'll see more of those things here."

"It's probably best if you stick with us," Leia told him, "We stand a better chance against the monsters if we're together."

Sora nodded as Han told them, "Probably best to keep the rest of the refugees here, just in case it's not a friendly place."

"I'm already detecting landing ports on the planet below," Luke revealed, "Finding a place to land won't be as difficult as last time."

"I'll take what we get," Han sighed in relief, he really didn't want the Falcon to land so close to the water this time, "We'll meet you there, Luke."

"See you soon," The Jedi Knight replied...

As both the Millennium Falcon and Luke's X-Wing made their way to the new world, another ship exited hyperspace. Goofy peeked out the window, "Hey, Donald! There it is!"

"Traverse Town," The Court Wizard smiled, "Hopefully, Leon should point us to that key!"

"Right," Goofy nodded in agreement before wondering, "Say, uh, who's piloting the ship again?"

"I was but then I put it on auto-pilot," Donald reassured him.

Goofy then pulled out a note that he found, "You mean the one that's out of border?"

"Out of order," Donald corrected without fully realizing what he was referring to, but when that information sunk in, "Wak?! Out of order?!" He grabbed the note from Goofy and scanned it a few times before realizing Goofy wasn't wrong as they entered Traverse's Town atmosphere a little too fast, "Uh-oh..."

Moments of screaming later, the friends of King Mickey climbed out of the crashed Gummiship as they took to a moment to breath as they we're thankful alive and in one piece. After that, Donald snapped, "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THAT THE AUTOPILOT WAS OUT OF ORDER SOONER?!"

"Why didn't you ask?" The Captain of the King's knights asked.

Donald facepalmed himself, "Aw, phooey!" He then wondered, "Now how are we supposed to find the King?"

Goofy thought for a moment as Pulto climbed out of the wreckage of the Gummi Ship, "You know, maybe Leon has a ship we can use."

"For the King's sake, I hope you're right," Donald turned to Goofy. They then turned to face the town, "Come on! We've got to find that Key!"

As the two walked through the city of Traverse Town, Goofy noticed Pulto was sniffing back to the hanger. He called out to Donald, "Uh, Donald. Ya know, I betcha that..."

"Aw, what do you know, you big palooka?" The royal Magician glanced to him briefly before walking his way toward the second district.

"What do I know? Hmmm..." Goofy shrugged before glancing to Pluto, "C'mon, Pluto!"

Goofy walked off after Donald assuming the dog would follow him, instead, he continued his path back to the hanger. He then painted happily as the spiky teen gave him a pat, "Hey, boy."

Pluto gave Sora a few friendly licks as the rest of the crew joined him. Han whistled as he observed the first district, "First the Destiny Islands shows up out of nowhere and now this..."

"So, you have no idea this world even existed until now?" Sora glanced to the former smuggler.

Han confirmed this with a nod, as Leia walked up beside him, "There's no way there's a coincidence. Once, we figure out what's going on here, we should check out if there are any other new planets that suddenly make an appearance."

"If that's the case, it might not be long for the Empire, Hutt Clan, or anyone else to take advantage of all this," Han stated as Chewie growled in agreement.

"Oh, dear..." Threepio muttered, "As if the monsters weren't enough..."

Soon enough, they were joined by Luke and Artoo, the former asked, "How are the survivors holding up?"

"As well as you can expect," Leia sadly replied.

"That's... understandable," Luke replied sadly before turning to his new Padawan in concern, "What about you Sora? How are you holding up?"

"I... I don't know..." Sora frowned, "I know my world is... gone... but... Riku... Kairi... I don't know why but I think they're still out there. Somewhere."

"A feeling?" Luke presumed. Sora nodded. The Jedi smiled, "Chances are you're probably right." Closing his eyes, he admitted, "I also sense they are still with us, just lost somewhere in the galaxy."

"Then we should find them," Sora spoke up with determination.

"We will," Luke reassured him, "But we must be patient. We still don't know what we're up against. And they're still many questions that we need to find the answer to if we are to begin your training." He asked him, "Can you still summon your weapon at command?"

Sora raised his arm him response before the Keyblade flashed into his hand. Han blinked in shock, "Okay, I thought it was something the kid just found... I certainly didn't see that coming..."

"I never thought anyone could use the Force to create a physical object," Leia admitted as Luke observed the weapon.

"Neither did I," The Jedi Knight admitted as he brushed the long end of the key.

Artoo whistled and beeped as Threepio translated, "Artoo says there are no records of such a weapon ever recorded in the archives of the Old Republic."

"Perhaps it's has happened, before the old Republic formed," Luke thought aloud, "Then again, Sidious had been Chancellor before the Clone Wars, there could have been archives he could have erased or more likely kept to himself."

"So, what do we do then?" Han wondered, "It sounds to me we're at a dead end."

"Perhaps not," Luke stood back up, "The knowledge may have lost to the Republic but there's a chance the Jedi Order may have some knowledge about this. If I could speak with Obi-Wan, Master Yoda... or even father... they might know..."

"Now hold on," Han raised his hands in protest, "Last checked, all three are dead. I doubt there in the position to tell us anything."

"Actually, there's a method, a form a training that allows a Jedi to communicate even after they had become one with the Force." Luke admitted, "While still a recent ability, Obi-Wan was able to tell me to go Dagobah back on Hoth. To find Master Yoda, so my own training could be complete. He's spoken to be quite frequently since then, and I know both Master Yoda and my father have this ability as well."

Sora tilted his head in confusion, while Leia crossed her arms, "You really believe they hold the answer to what Sora has?"

"It very well could be our best lead," Luke answered, "And I have yet to recover most of the archives of the Jedi Order from the Emperor's vaults."

"Alright," Han spoke up, "While you speak to your dead Jedi Masters, I suppose the rest of us could look around town. See what any of the population know about these things."

"It couldn't hurt," Leia admitted, "There could have been others that evacuated their home world and came to here for sanctuary."

"Alright, but stay together," The Jedi Knight advised, "And try not to start any unnecessary fights."

Han gave Luke a cocky smile, "Hey, it's me."

"I knew you were going to say that," Luke sighed before turning to Sora, "Listen to them, do whatever they say until I return."

"Yes, sir," He nodded as he proceeded to follow the rest of the crew.

Threepio told his counterpart, "Come along, Artoo."

Artoo beeped in response, as Leia was about to join them, when her brother called out to her, "Leia," She stopped to turn to Luke, "Our father isn't the same man we fought against, he's regrets what he's done as Vader. Perhaps it's a good idea for you to meet him, to finally forgive him."

"You may have forgiven him," Leia replied, "But I haven't. All I know of our father is that he stood by as the order was given to destroy my home, slaughtered man good people that stood against him, and was practically the Emperor's second in command. The only good thing I ever heard he's done was saving you." She closed her eyes, "But I do trust Master Kenobi and Master Yoda, I hope they give you the answers we seek."

Luke sighed, "I understand, but should you ever change you mind..."

"I won't," She shook her head, "May the Force be with you, Luke."

"And you as well," The Jedi Knight nodded as he wandered off on his own as Pluto followed him...

It was just another day of work for Cid, more stars vanished from the sky everyday and more survivors from those worlds appeared on the good old world of Traverse Town. Though that didn't mean that the Heartless didn't follow them either. Leon and the gang kept them at bay for the moment. That's all they could do until they find the Key that the King told them about. On the bright side, he had plenty of new customers each and every day.

Just then, he heard the doors open, he smirked, "Speaking of which..."

He turned around to greet them, "Hey, there! How can I help..." He saw himself facing the Wookiee, "Huh? Another Wookiee? When did you show up? On another world that fell?"

Chewie tilted his head roaring softly as Han asked him, "So, there are other Wookiees out here?"

"That's right," Cid nodded, "When their world vanished, a few of them ended up here."

Leia perked up out of curiosity, "A few? Have other survivors of vanished worlds end up here?"

"Sure, in fact, the whole population is full of survivors," Cid nodded, "Myself including."

"So, Riku and Kairi could have ended up here?!" Sora's eyes lit up.

Threepio and Artoo then entered the shop, as the former complained, "I swear, Artoo. Those strange creatures were eyeing me up like they were Jawas. I don't want to go over that ordeal again."

The Astromech beeped in response as Cid glanced to droids, "Fancy robots you got there."

"Robot?! I beg your pardon! I am no mere robot," Threepio turned to Cid, clearly offended, "I am C-3PO: Human Cyborg-"

"NOT NOW!" Both Leia and Han shouted at the protocol droid as Chewie howled in agreement.

Turning back to Cid, he answered, "Well, I can't say for certain your friends showed up here. Only a handful of people from other worlds showed here after they vanished. Still, I suppose there's no harm in checking. If there not here, best case scenario, they could have ended up somewhere on the other worlds."

"Thank you," Leia nodded.

"You wouldn't by any chance know what's been going on here?" Han asked the store owner.

"Yeah, but my explanations are quite the best," Cid revealed, "If you want answers, you're going to want to take to Leon."

"Leon?" Leia asked.

"We came from the same world, but he's the natural born leader," Cid explained, "He's been doing what he can to keep the other survivors safe until we can do something to handle this matter. And he knows pretty much everything regarding to what happened."

"What does he look like?" Han wondered.

"He's long brown hair, and a large scar right between his eyes," Cid answered, "He also be carrying around his gunblade. Trust me, he'll be hard to miss."

"We'll find him," Leia nodded.

"Just be careful out there," Cid warned them, "The first district might be safe but I won't recommend going to the others all. This place is crawling with monsters."

"Thanks for the tip," Han nodded as he paid him for the information, "We can handle ourselves out there."

Sora summoned his new weapon and placed on his shoulders, "You said it."

As everyone left the shop, they didn't notice Cid drop his toothpick in shock, "No! Freaking! Way!"

Without waiting for another second, Cid made a dash to his phone. He quickly dialed the number to Leon before hearing the phone ring on the other end, "Come on! Pick up! Pick up!" Just then, he heard the phone pick up, "Leon, it's Cid. I've got news. I found the Key!"

After a pause of silence, he heard him reply back as Cid nodded, "That's right! You heard me! The Keyblade! It was in the hands of some kid."

After hearing Leon's repose Cid complained, "No, this isn't a joke! He's hanging out with two humans, two robots, and a Wookiee! One the robots has gold plating! You can't miss 'em!" After hearing him go on, "Just get here! Before we lose the kid to the Heartless!"

Cid nodded, "Right. I'll be right here if he comes back. Good luck."

He then hung up at long last there was still hope for the worlds...

As the group exited the store, Threepio muttered in complaint, "Robots... I tell you, Artoo, there are no good educational programs anymore."

"What I'm confused about is, if these really are survivors of all the vanished worlds..." Han started.

"...how they managed to get here?" Leia finished, "I didn't see too many ships when we landed here."

"Neither did I..." Han admitted.

Chewie growled as Sora wondered, "What is it?"

"He says that we should ask around," Han translated, "We might be able to figure out how everyone ended up here of all places."

"It's not a bad idea," Leia admitted, "We could run into this Leon along the way. Hopefully, it's somewhere in the first district."

"Because the others are full of those creatures from the island?" Sora assumed which Leia nodded in response.

"We should wait until Luke returns before we check out the other districts," She added, "I'd feel more comfortable with a fully trained Jedi Knight on our side."

"In the meantime," Han spoke, "Chewie, you and Sora check on the upstairs. Talk to see of how they got here." Chewie nodded, as he gestured for Sora to follow him, Han then turned to droids, "You two ask around down here on the left, Leia and I will ask around on the right. We'll meet up back here."

"Got it?" Sora nodded as he followed the Wookiee.

Everyone began asking around as Threepio muttered, "Oh, what did I do to deserve to go on all these crazy adventures."

Artoo beeped in response...

Meanwhile, in an empty alleyway in the first district, Luke sat near some empty crates, as he awaited for the presence of his former Masters as well as his father. Pluto raised an ear as he panted happily before several cloaked figures appeared around the Jedi Knight.

Spooking the dog, he ran back to the populated district. Luke smiled, "Masters. I hoping you'd show up."

He stood up to see many familiar faces, old Ben Kenobi, once known as Obi-Wan Kenobi smiled as he nodded to Luke, Master Yoda, the former Grand Master of the old Jedi Order as greeted his last apprentice, and of course, his father, Anakin Skywalker, the chosen one, formerly known as the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader. Startled by the ghosts, Pulto yelped as he ran off. Anakin turned to his son as he realized, "Leia's not here."

"Give it time, father," Luke reassured him, "I'm certain she'll forgive you."

Anakin sighed, "I don't blame her." Rubbing the back of his head, he admitted, "I have done horrible things to her as Vader."

"That is in the past, Anakin," Obi-Wan reassured him, "And we did not come here to speak of the past..."

"Right..." Anakin nodded before turning to his son, "We came here to warn you of the current threat."

"Those creatures..." Luke replied, "The sudden appearance of new worlds that have never been seen in the known galaxy, it's all connected isn't it?"

"Correct, you are," Master Yoda stated, "Despite the fall of the Sith, the Dark Side grows stronger, I fear."

"What are they?" Luke asked the members of the Jedi Council of Old.

"To be honest, the piece of history has been lost," Anakin admitted, "But what we do know is that they were born from a place called the Realm of Darkness, the very source of the Dark Side. If they are not stopped, they will consume all in their path, until nothing remains."

"Then how can we stop such a threat," Luke wondered.

"The boy you took on as your Padawan," Obi-Wan spoke up, "He summoned an ancient weapon that came even before the creation of the lightsaber. The Keyblade."

"Keyblade?" Luke pondered.

"Before the Republic," Anakin revealed, "Before even the Jedi Order. The worlds were once one, protected by warriors of light who forged a weapon to combat the darkness. The Keyblade."

"Wielders of the Key once shared many of the same principles that formed the Jedi Order," Obi-Wan revealed, "Unfortunately, they died down to near extinction, even before the Empire."

"What happened to them?" Luke wondered.

"Greedy they became," Master Yoda revealed, "Wanted to conquer the light for themselves, they wanted. Fell to the dark side, they have."

"In legend, an ancient war between Keyblade Wielders caused the destruction of the old world," Old Ben Kenobi revealed, "Which eventually gave birth to our galaxy as well as all the worlds, the very few you saw, close but separated by invisible walls that prevented any shot of discovery without a Keyblade."

"Such as this one and the islands," Luke realized, "And these creatures tore them down."

"Correct, you are," Yoda nodded, "A threat to the worlds, these creatures are. Stop them, you must."

"Thankfully," Anakin turned to his son, "You're Padawan's weapon, since it was created by light, it has the means to destroy these creatures."

"Which is interesting," Obi-Wan stated, "It's rare that a Force-Sensitive to ever receive a Keyblade."

"How so," Luke wondered, "Didn't you just say that many of their principles started the Jedi Order?"

"Yes, but it also established many of the strict rules such as a Jedi is not allowed to form attachments," Anakin answered, "While for Keyblade Wielders it is encouraged. The Jedi Council didn't wish to make the same mistakes that the Keyblade Wielders did."

Luke blinked in shock. Jedi weren't allowed to form attachments. He never heard of that one until now. Yoda continued, "So, when a Keyblade chose a Jedi as it wielder, unsure of how to train them, we were."

"However, this is an opportunity which could benefit from both the Jedi and Keyblade Wielders," Obi-Wan stated, "It is clear both methods of Jedi and Keyblade Wielders failed, it is up to you to establish a balance of the best qualities to establish a New Jedi Order. Help guide the boy to confront the darkness and train him in the ways of the Force. He'll be the Key for the next generation of Keyblade Wielders as you are for the next generation of Jedi."

"Then I'll begin his training immediately," Luke stated, "I won't let you down."

"Then may the Force be with you, Young Skywalker," Master Yoda told the living Jedi Knight before vanishing from sight.

Obi-Wan vanished not long after, Anakin was about to join them when Luke called out, "Father?"

"What is it, my son?" Anakin turned to Luke.

"I know this is a sensitive topic for you but..." The son of the Chosen One hesitated to ask, "What led you to become Vader in the first place?"

Anakin sighed, before nodding, "It's fine, Luke. You of all people should know the truth. Just promise me you'll avoid the same choices I did that turned me, and make sure your Padawan understands that as well."

Luke nodded as they had a long overdue Father and Son meeting...

Later, the rest of the group met up, Leia asked, "Was anyone able to find out anything?"

"Well, from the people we spoke with," Sora spoke up as he gestured to the Wookiee, "Chewie and I learned that what happened to the islands was pretty much the same as everywhere else, however, during their world's destruction, they blacked out only to wake up here."

Chewie howled in agreement as Threepio gasped, "Oh my, many of the people Artoo and I spoke with said the exact same thing."

"Same with us," Han muttered before glancing at Leia, "Think someone's playing Guardian Angel? Bringing them here?"

"No, otherwise, we would have heard about it sooner, and we could have prevented so much death." Leia frowned.

"Then how else would they end up here? Everyone knows you can't travel to other worlds without a ship," Han pointed out.

"As far as we know anyway," Luke's voice spoke up. Everyone turned to the Jedi Knight, who joined the group.

"Luke," Leia greeted him with a smile.

"So, did your dead Jedi have an answer?" Han asked the brother of Leia.

"Not much of the situation but what they did know they shared," Luke revealed, "And I was able to get some answers about Sora's weapon."

"At this point, I'll take whatever we can get," Han sighed before asking, "So, what did they tell you?"

Time passed and Luke explained everything the Jedi Masters had informed him. After the explanation, Leia gasped, "Something older than the Republic? And the Jedi Order?"

"I was just as shocked learning these warriors myself," Luke admitted as Sora stared at the Keyblade in shock.

"And other worlds only these guys can travel to," Han added, "Guess these guys were lucky to avoid thousands of wars."

"In my experience, there's no such thing as luck," Luke revealed.

"I knew you were going to say that," Han half chuckled, "Still, to avoid threats like the Hutts or the Empire, some may refer to that as much."

"Until now, at least," Leia pointed out, "These creatures are making these worlds like Sora's vulnerable to those threats."

"Even so, the biggest threat is definitely the creatures," Luke stated, "But I have a feeling they couldn't have escaped from their realm on their own."

"So, the Empire or someone could be responsible for all of this?" Han realized.

"Oh, dear," Threepio muttered as Artoo whistled softly.

"Any insight into who is responsible?" Leia asked.

Luke thought back to the cloaked man Sora encountered on the island. The one Luke sensed the darkness rivaled the deceased Sith Master and Emperor. He admitted, "I have my suspicions... but we won't know for sure without investigating this matter."

"So, where do we start?" Sora asked his Master, "The investigation, I mean?"

Luke smiled as he was also referring to his training, but wanted to help with the crisis at hand. Leia spoke up, "We asked around and it sounds like the one who knows about this situation the best is this Leon."

"Then that's where we'll begin," Luke stated.

"So, where do we start looking for this Leon?" Sora wondered, "Maybe somewhere in the second district?"

The Jedi Knight closed his eyes before sense a coming presence, "We don't need to look for him, he already found us."

"What?" Sora blinked in confusion.

"They'll come at you out of nowhere." A new voice spoke up startling the others. Everyone turned to the source of voice as he continued, "And they'll keep on coming at you, as long as you continue to wield the Keyblade." He then thought aloud, "But why? Why would it choose a kid like you?"

"Hey," Sora complained as he held out his weapon, "What's that supposed to mean?"

"Never mind," He shook his head as he started to pull up to him, "Now, let's see that Keyblade."

"What?!" Sora pulled his weapon away as he prepared for a fight, "There's no way you're getting this!"

The battle-scarred man pulled out his own weapon, a gunblade, as he went into his own battle stance, "Alright, have it your way."

Han stood in front of the boy, with one hand forming a calming gesture, while the other slowly reached for his blaster, "Easy there, buddy, we're not looking for any sort of trouble."

Chewie growled in agreement, as Luke told everyone, "Easy, Han, we're not going to fight."

"I'll feel a lot easier if this guy lowers his blade," The former smuggler glared at the scarred man.

"Not going to happen," The stranger told them. Luke sighed as he stood ahead of the ground, and raised his hand. Suddenly the man's weapon was stripped right from his hand, much to his shock, "Wha...?!"

Luke caught the weapon in his hand, "Leon, I presume?"

Han blinked in realization, "Wait, that's Leon?"

Leon started at the group as they eased up. Luke turned to him, "Excuse my friends, we just ended one war not so long ago when these creatures attacked."

Leon turned to the man, "Who are you?"

"Luke Skywalker," The Jedi tossed the man his weapon back before pulling out his lightsaber hilt, "Jedi Knight."

Leon stared at the weapon, before admitting, "I heard of the Jedi, but I was told they were all dead."

"Not yet," Luke revealed, "Now, I believe you owe my Padawan an explanation of why you need to see his Keyblade?"

Leon blinked before lowering his blade, "I have reason to believe the Heartless are using his Keyblade to track him."

Most of the group eyes widened in horror as just as Leon warned them, the creatures from the island surrounded the group. While Leia, Han, and Chewie drew out their blasters, Luke activated his lightsaber.

*PSSSSHHHHHEEEWWW!*

The Jedi went into his traditional battle stance as Sora went into his own. Leon quickly cut down two Heartless, "Yuffie! Get the people out of here!"

Suddenly, with a flash a smoke, a girl just a few years older than Sora appeared, "You got it, Squall!"

Despite the situation, they were in, Leon sighed, "It's Leon!"

As Yuffie led civilians to safety, Leia called out to her, "We'll cover you!"

Leia fired her blaster at an armored Heartless that was getting too close to a pedestrian, destroying it. Han blasted the ones that got to close before Chewie swatted one aside and roared at it. Firing his crossbow, another vanished.

Threepio, of course, started panicking, "OH NO!" One Heartless grabbed him from behind, "ARTOO! HELP! DO SOMETHING!"

The astromech rolled up to the protocol droid, opened up a compartment revealed an electro-shock prod, and used it to zap the Heartless off Threepio as the creature stumbled to the ground before Leon finished it off with a single strike.

Sora and Luke cut down many Heartless using their respective weapons. As the former continued, he watched in horror, as on civilian failed to escape. His heart left his body as the latter vanished while the former was taken by an armored shadow before retreating. Sora gasped, "What was that?!"

One Heartless was about to leap in from behind before an invisible force pushed it away. Luke advised the boy while cutting down three more Heartless, "Sora! Stay focused on the battle at hand! We can ask questions once the creatures have been dealt with."

Sora nodded as he slashed at another Heartless. When the Heartless realized it was a losing battle, they turned to flee, only to be blasted by Leia, Han, and Chewie. The remaining monster would escaped if Leon had not launched a ball of fire, which followed the creature like a homing missile, and destroyed it.

When the battle ended, everyone eased up as Han commented, "Looks like that was all of them."

"They'll return, and in greater numbers," Leon sighed, "Like they always do, now more than ever."

*Ssshhhhhhhhp!*

Luke walked up to Leon with his deactivated Lightsaber, "So, is there any way to stop the creatures from tracking Sora?"

"It won't work for long but if we have someone else carry the blade instead of its master," Leon proceeded to explain, "It will throw them off."

Leia walked up to him, "Long enough to provide answers?"

The scared man nodded as Luke placed his hilt back on his belt before turning to Sora, "May I hold on to the Keyblade for a few minutes?"

Now knowing the full situation, Sora handed his new Master his weapon. The Jedi Knight then turned to Leon, "How long do we have?"

"Thirty minutes," Leon shrugged, "More or less. Luke was it?" The Jedi nodded as Leon gestured to Sora, "So, if you're a Jedi and you're taking him as your Padawan, then assume that means you're training him to be a Jedi as well?"

"Yes," Luke nodded, "He has a strong connection to the Force and I am determined to restore the Jedi Order with Sora as the first of my many students."

"Then maybe we have a chance," Leon sighed in relief.

"So, you found him," Yuffie joined the others, "Nice going, Squall."

"That's Leon," The brunette corrected the dark-haired girl.

Chewie roared softly, as the girl nodded, "Yeah, we got answers. Although we should do this away from proving eyes, we don't know who could be overhearing this."

"Fair enough," Han nodded, "Know any places?"

"We have some motel rooms in the second district," Leon gestured to the massive doors leading to the second district, "We'll explain there."

"Fair enough," Leia nodded, "Lead the way."

With that, the group followed, Leon and Yuffie as Artoo beeped. Threepio turned to him, "Yes, Artoo, hopefully, we can finally get a proper explanation of what those creatures are."

Meanwhile, Donald and Goofy searched all over town for Leon, eventually ending in a back alley in the second district. The knight couldn't help but admit, "Gawrsh, there's nobody here. Sure is spooky."

"Aw, phooey. I'm not scared," Donald declared when someone lightly touched his shoulder causing him to freak out, "WWWWWWAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKK!"

Jumping into the air, he fell back down in Goofy's arms as they shivered in fear. That's when a female voice kindly asked them, "Excuse me, did the King send you?"

Hearing the mention of the King, they blinked in shock. They turned around to see a young woman with a brunette in a pink dress smiled at them...

Somewhere, on a distant world, far from the one of Traverse Town, Riku began to come to. He looked around at his surroundings and saw the waterfalls around him were going up instead of down. He couldn't help but wonder, "Where am I?"

After a moment, Riku realized he had succeeded, he had made it to another world. Slight problem though, the friends he wanted to bring with them weren't there with him. He called out to them, "SORA! KAIRI!"

Riku frowned, deep down he knew, they must have ended up on different worlds. He had to find them, but he had a hard enough time leaving his own world, how was he supposed to leave this one?

Unknown to him, people noticed his sudden appearance, two figures in black robes looked down on the islander boy. The taller own turned to the other, "Bring him to me. Maleficent will want to question him."

"Yes," The female cloaked figure turned and bowed to the other, "My master..."

Without another word, the young woman leaped off the platform, leaving the first to himself as he muttered, "I sense a great shift in the Force... The Keyblade has returned..."

Notes:

And for those of you watching Ahsoka, you might have an idea why this chapter took so long. I won't say anything without getting into spoilers, I will just simply say it's great so far and leave it at that. Check it out if you're interested. Next chapter might not be out until after the series is complete, for the same reason. I will say Sora will have a few more enemies being trained as a Jedi.

Man, just saw the Playsation Showcase, and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on Marvel's Spider-Man 2 as well as the coming games like Avatar and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth but seriously, would it kill them to give us another trailer for KH4, doesn't even need to have an exact release date, just would like an update saying it's still in progress and I'd be happy. Same with Missing Link.

Until then, as our Final Fantasy heroes explain the situation to our protagonists, our OG trilogy heroes are determined to get the New Republic involved with what's at stake, but will they send the help that's needed? How will the World Order survive even if they do? And just who else is on Maleficent's payroll? Stay tuned when Sora, the Star Wars Crew, and Disney Crew worlds collide in the next chapter!

I hope you enjoyed the chapter. Be sure to leave a review. Also, if you haven't already, be sure to leave a fav. and follow as well. See ya real soon and may the Force be with you... always...

Notes:

So, what do you think? Like the idea of Luke taking Sora under his wing and our main trilogy heroes participating in the KH series? And don't worry, this time, Donald and Goofy will be tagging along this time. And who knows who else might join our crew? And what worlds we might see? Will Sora use the Force? Weild a lightsaber in one hand and Keyblade in another? If so, what color would it be?

Any suggestions? Please leave the reviews below.

Now to the preview, as Sora decides whether to accept Luke's offer, he discusses it with his best friends which leads a big impact on both of them. However, as our heroes from the islands and the New Republic figure out their next move. Dark forces come into play as the Heartless make their move. Will Luke be able to prevent the Destiny Islands' fate to fall into darkness? Does the King know about Luke? Will the Empire come into play at all in this? Stay tuned!

I hope you enjoyed the chapter. Be sure to leave a review of your thoughts and suggestions to push this series forward. Also, be sure to leave a fav. and follow to show your support. See ya real soon and may the Force be with you. Always.
