Chapter 1: The stranded boy on the coast

Summary:

Prince Ayato goes on his free day to the City and finds a stranded boy on the coast

Chapter Text

They say the Humans will present their secondary gender around their teenage years.

The young teenagers are fully excited or full of fear, what they will be presenting at. They could present as an Alpha, Delta, Beta or an Omega. There's also THE Engima but it's the rarest one to present as.

If you either present as an Alpha or an Omega your life will change completely, so people would rather prefer to present as an Beta.

Besides that people say, they could predict what secondary gender, you will present at depending on your personality or rank.

If a person is a leader or Royal, they are obviously an Alpha and so will they mostly be the male heir.

That's what everyone expects for the young prince Kamisato Ayato. He's 16 which means he's at the age ready to present, it's just a matter of time but for him it's not his priority.

Ayato, as the future heir he is, has a full time plan of learning about various things. Sometimes, the young boy gets lucky and has some free time and can wander around the Estate and spend some time with his Parents and his sister Ayaka.

Today is a day, where Ayato could actually take some free time. But even walking through the estate isn't so thrilling today. No current interest for the young teenager to read a book

As Ayato thinks of what to do, he hears the maids talking about, visiting the city to buy some groceries. This sparks his interest, Ayato barely gets the chance to visit the city. At most it would be during festivals. So the young prince approaches the maids and politely asks if he could join them.

"Oh young Lord, why would you come with us? Are you so bored." The butler Furuta asks the blue haired prince with a slight smile on her face.

"I...yes. Also I rarely have the chance to leave the estate and go outside. So please may I join." He pouts like a young boy and not a teenager.

"Hmm let me ask your mother first. I wouldn't like her go get angry because she didn't knew about this." Furuta walks away, inside the estate, while Ayato watches past her with an unsure expression. He doesn't know how his mother would react to this.

Luckily she agrees, hence she smiles and is enthusiastic about her son wandering around the city and their folks, gathering some new experiences.

Yet she also has to insist, that one of the guards should accompany them. Just to be sure.

As a guard she chose, a young trainee one, just because he gets quite along with Ayato. Even though Itto may be a bit wild, it still made her son smile.

Then in their trip to the city both of them had quite some fun and Indeed he learns something, during his visit. The city looks outside the festivals really pretty and the people are also really nice. Maybe some are a bit astounded as the prince walks around their city and buying some groceries.

While doing so, he gets to notice how much, these things actually cost. "Well young Prince, nowadays it slowly gets harder and harder to get the necessities from different countries, so we have to higher the prices ourselves to make a living." An old man explains to Ayato, as his maid is paying for the groceries.

This makes Ayato concerned, if things will get better soon or not. That's what he has to take care once he gets on the throne.

As they waved the old man goodbye and walk away, Ayato still worries about the situation with the prices. "Miss Furuta, is there any way my family can help with this current problem. I don't want to see the people ending up with no food on their plates."

"Well I'm sure, your family will try to give it's best." Furuta pauses for a while, as she looks at the young prince. "Ayato, I don't say this because I'm a maid working under the castle - your parents, but I think your parents do try their best, to help this country. I think, they know what they are doing but sometimes things are out of one's control. For example the problems with the necessities, is also depending on the situation outside of Inazuma. Which means your parents can give their best, on how to handle this." Her monologue goes on for a while and Ayato just listens carefully.

Even though Furuta is 'just a maid' she's really trustworthy and something like a Aunt for Ayato.

"Hey Ayato, look at these cards! These look so awesome. I bet these must be pretty rare!" Arataki Itto, literally drags the young prince, to a stand that sells Cards.

When Ayato asks what those cards are for, Itto gets flabbergast. He can't imagine that no-one, especially not the prince, doesn't know what genius invocation TCG is.

Ayato could basically see the how shocked and disappointed, Itto is at him.

"Would you be happy, if I buy some cards and you would teach me how to play it." He sincerely asks. This game definitely sparks his interest and would gladly like to know more about it.

Furuta could only smile at this conversation.

Even though a future King, shouldn't 'waste' his time with card games, she loves to see it, that Ayato can still do some stuff kids or teenagers would normally do.

"Oh my it's already so late, the sun is already about to go down. We better head home, I dont want your parents get worried."

Just as Furuta mentions Ayato starts to gaze at the orange - yellow sky, that comes alongside of the sun going down. For him it's such a pretty view but from all the buildings, you can hardly see the full view.

So as they walk back home, they take a path that's rather around the coast, which definitely gives of a better view.

As Ayato is fixated at the view of the sun, he notices something? or someone? on the coast. It makes him curious. He stands still for a moment and then walking towards this thing.

"Ayato! What are you doing!" Furuta tilts her head at the prince, as she sees his direction changing.

"There is something....unusual on the coast....I want to know what it is."

Ayato doesn't wait for his maids answer and actually starts to walk faster towards whatever there is. Itto and Furuta try keeping up with him.

At the coast he can actually see a crashed boat with a young blond boy laying next to it.

Panic strikes at Ayato, seeing this boy, uncertain if he's actually alive or not.

Ayato runs towards the stranded man checking up if he can find any life sign in him.

"Just a little pulse that's... that's enough." Ayato murmurs under his breath as, he examines the man.

Furuta and Itto arrive at the scene, where the young prince is holding an unconscious boy, Itto halfheartedly listens to Ayato's words, just the words 'puls' is enough for him to take the man from Ayato's arm into his.

Itto then puts the stranded boy onto his back and starts to move to direction real fast.

They all know, that they shouldn't waste any precious time 'his time'.

Back in the Estate, the stranded boy, was immediately brought to the infirmary.

The local Doctor takes him under his care and explains to Furuta, that he will stay here for a while, especially since he is unconscious.

"Thank you very much, please let me know if there are any news about him." Furuta says and leaves right after.

Outside the door she finds Ayato laying against the wall, in front of the door all too worried and Itto staring at Ayato not sure how he could make his friend cheer up.

Ayato is looking down, lost in his thoughts, yet with a worrisome face. His arms crossed and pressed towards his body and his foot wiping around.

"Ayato and Itto what are you both doing here? Please don't tell me you waited, you really shouldn't have." Furuta says full of concern.

With saying this, Ayato snaps back to reality and looks up full of surprises as Furuta standing in front of him.

"Well I just wanted to know how his condition is. I mean is he alright or?" You could hear Ayato's concern words leaving his frowning face.

Furuta repeats what the doctor said to her. "The blond boy, must have stranded there and according to him, he swallowed lot of water and lost unconscious during so. Yet he hasn't woken up yet."

Ayato's expression doesn't get any better. "I can only imagine, how shocked this was for you to see him like this but don't worry. I bet he will be alright. I'm sure of it. You will definitely be the first one to get to know, when he is awake."

Furuta lays her hands on Ayato's shoulder, just to embrace him in a hug right afterwards. Of course Ayato returns this hugs and smiles.

So he really is allowed to worry about such a thing and doesn't have to pretend to be all perfect with what happened.

He trusts the people in the Estate and that they are doing a good job but just like Furuta said, some things are out of once control and we just can try to give our best, on how to handle this.

"Itto you can dismiss and return to your chamber, I will take care of him now." Furuta insists with much confidence behind her words.

Itto then bows down to the maid and the prince. "It was an honour to accompany you two to the City. My services will always be ready, if you need them. I wish both of you a restful sleep." He starts to walk away and Ayato gazes how he leaves.

Afterwards Furuta escorts the young prince to the dining hall and heats up the food, that was served today.

For their surprise the young princess, Ayaka is sitting in the dining hall as well.

Ayaka starts to smile as she sees her brother.

"There you are big brother."

"Ayaka please don't tell me you waited for me? You must be tired by now." He chuckled

"Even if I'm tired, I still wanted to see my big brother. I missed you during dinner. So did our parents."

Ayato feels a bit ashamed hearing this and just rubs his head.

While they continue talking, Furuta serves the food. Nothing too much but still enough to satisfy him.

Ayato isn't even complaining about it. He wouldn't even want to eat a big meal but rather prefer to go to bed.

During him eating, Ayaka brings up the rumour that some staff of the Estate, saw him, Itto and Furuta entering here in a hurry. She definitely wants to know more about what excatly happened.

He then explains a short summary nothing too lengthy.

Even what he said left his sister speechless and starts to bombard him with several more questions.

Ayato surely doesn't have the energy to this. Not today. Especially since he can't answer most of her question, the one's he would gladly like to know as well.

After finishing eating, they both go to their separate chambers and wish each other good night and a restful sleep.

Inside his room, Ayato makes himself ready to sleep. It's definitely what he needs the most right now.

Yet his mind doesn't allow him to fall asleep.

His mind is still occupied with today's event and this boy

What's his Name?

How old is he?

Where is he coming from?

Do his family and friends think he is missing or even dead?

What happened to him?

What does he want in Inazuma?

Ayato just hope,s he can get the answers he needs, very soon and falling asleep could definitely help to pass some time till then.

So he rests his eyes and tries to think of something else.
