Chapter 1: A…A Bomb?

Chapter Text

It was a nice Thursday afternoon as Kaeya sat down on a bench as he was about to munch on his self-made onigiri.

A cute little girl in a red dress approaches him and asked
"Hello Mister, can I have your bomb?"

Kaeya only looked at her in confusion. A child in broad daylight has asked him for a bomb and that was definitely not in his Thursday Agenda™️. Until the little girl pointed at his onigiri and he finally understood.

"Oh, this isn't a bomb it's an onigiri" Kaeya said with the friendliest smile he could muster in the midst of his hunger.

"what's an oh-knee-jeery?"

"well if you know what a sushi is, it's basically a round sushi. do you want to give it a taste?"

"may i?" the girl's eyes sparkled in excitement and Kaeya thought whoever this girl's parents are must be lucky to have a daughter as adorable as this.

As Kaeya thought to himself, the little girl took a bite and the expression on her face shows it all. "Man, Mister you make good shit!"

Scratch that. I take back what I said earlier.

Not long after, a guy with bleached hair comes running towards where He was
"KLEE YOU DEMON SPAWN I TOLD YOU TO WAIT BY THE CASHIER "

"but i was huuungrryyyyyyyy—"

Suddenly the guy with bleached hair lifted the little girl (who was apparently called klee) and put her on his shoulder like some sack of rice as he leaves the scene of the crime.
Kaeya could hear the girl yelling 'THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL OH-KNEE-JEERY MISTEEEERRRRRRR'

As the guy and the little girl disappears from his line of sight, so did his lunch. He was too stunned to speak. Who knows is the shock was caused by the bizarre experience or the fact that his stomach was empty.

Kaeya regret not going to the convenience store after he returned to his duties as a manager. And so, he had to work with an empty stomach.

The rumbling of his stomach must have been too loud because his co-worker, Jean looked at him with concern.
