When you are born there’s always been this thought about who you were meant to be. There’s always a person telling you should be a doctor or lawyer . Other make decisions themselves on what they want to be wether it’s to be gamer or singer. Only for it to be because it was popular or it would make them more money. In all honesty nobody really knows they want to be or what there to be.
Here’s Sully, is a girl who is very quiet and reclusive. She wears stripped blue chullo with her blue jacket, which only has a collar no hood. She also has puffy bangs that reaches out of the chullo with puffy ping-tails right behind. Shes always seen slouching and with how skinny people find it unnatural.She always had a fear of people opinions about her ever since she was little. The quietness at the moment is her thinking about her next words as she fears saying the words thing.
“Uh” she said, always. Her assignment is who she wants to be when she grows up.
“An artist” she says. She always drew as a hobby as she got bored so she always thought she could be a artist.
“Well while that’s cool use should also pick something that could last after college too.” The teacher said. The college teacher always thought about how students could manage in and after college. Even when some students bluntly tell her their not going to college.
Other students tell what they what to be in great detail while are don’t even bother to answer. The school in general had mix of students who care and don’t care. While it’s a private school, the kids here tend to act more than anyone in private school would.
“Man this is boring” Sully said while biting her pencil. Right now she was think of drifting off to space at the moment. She looks out the window and thinks about blank her life really is.
Sully's life was bland always with only attending school most of the time. Her mom always had this underlying fear something bad was about to happen everywhere they went. So she can never go the mall or to friends house like she wants. And because of her quietness she only has on friend at the moment. She just wish her life was more exciting like the comic books or anime she watch.
Sully looks up at the ceiling and starts to day dream. She dreams about being a space hero fight demons with her new friend along side her. She snapped to reality when the bell rings.
“Why can that just happen. Why can it just be real” she thinks. She starts to pack her stuff and head out to the next class. On her way she meet her friend, Alejandría.
Sully and Alejandria friendship go way back to when they were in middle school. They had other friends as well but they all went to other schools. Her and Alejendria just recently reunited as they now go to the same high school.
“Sully I’ve been looking for you” Alenjendria said. Then she turned back to pull out 20 cards her book sack. “What do you think about these cards, I’ve them for and everyone im close to”, She said excitedly. As you can see Alenjendria is a lovable person and will to any to make anyone happy.
“Their good” Sully says. While she is happy Alenjendria make a card for her , she also feels certain way about everyone getting a card. While She knows Alenjendria has hundreds of friends, she couldn’t help but feel insecure. Was she just like everyone else, she thought Alenjendria and her are the best of friends.
When it comes to friends Sully can be quite possessive. She has a hard time keeping a friend as the last thought she was to weird for too many asking questions. All the friends she made left some how and now the only friend she has currently is making card for other people.
“ hmm maybe I’m thinking to much”. she thinks as she decide to walk to the next class.
“what’s wrong?” Alenjendria ask noting how Sully’s face as she walks through the halls.
“ nothing” Sully said stoned faced and the next class wonder what to do next.
The class was the same as always with same lecture and the same kids acting a fool. Sully was setting in the back off the room with head down planning to sleep.
“Sully wake up” the teachers says. The class look at her with some them snickering. The lecture continues with people still make snide comment at her. The mains one being the big three.
The big three consist of one plus size lightskin girl name Stephanie, another plus girl name Tori who was dark skin, and a skinny girl name Tooti who was white. While they weren’t the only was who talked about her, their presence still stand out as they were always caught talking about people.
“Let’s stop guys you never know what she might do” Tooti said while making finger guns. Sully couldn’t but feel more more insecure.
While the teasing don’t happen on a daily basis, it happens enough to not make her what to come to school. Most of the people here think of her as a insignificance as they barely know she there. When they realize she most of the time they tease or bully her.
The class was over before Sully knew it and she just thinks about what happened. Alenjendria reassures her saying “ Don’t worry your not the only one they bully, they call Dora all the time.”. Sully couldn’t help but feel worse.
School was over and it was time to go home. Sully get in front seats of the bus because She knows how wild it is back there. She couldn’t help but get more depressed about how today went. It was just like any other day.
As she got out the bus she decide to text her mom to let her know she was coming home. As she was walking home there was a truck with a woman driving by.
As the truck drives by her the driver ask a question “ I need direction to the nearest hotel”, She said. Sully looked at her and it looks she wearing a suit.
“Um, I dont know” Sully nervously said. She couldn’t help but feel that she didn’t know and that could probably think she is a nuisance.
The lady in the truck looked slightly agitated but decided to move on and ask someone else. She thanks Sully and
Leave. Unknown to Sully one of the neighbors was watching the whole thing.
“Are you alright” the neighbor says walking to her.
“ Uh, yes ma’am” Sully said. Reassuring nothing happened.
“SULLIVAN” she heard her mom yelling down the street. Her moms appearance looked like she just got out of work, with her Afro not in a ponytail anymore.
“The hell, I just saw what happened”. She said getting angry then she turns to the neighbor and says “ Thank you for look after her” she said.
“No problem, I have daughter too so I know how it is” the neighbor says.
“Cmon we’re leaving” her mom said yanking her to the house.
As soon they got to the house her mom begins to yell at her. Saying thing about how she should watch out for stranger or how she should know better.
“Ive been telling you all your life about how to watch for people like that” her mom yells
“All she was did was ask questions plus how was she going to kidnap me with people watching.” Sully yelled back.
“You never know, Sully” her mom said then looks Sully straight in the eye and says “ I’m disappointed in you.”
“Dude your just paranoid” Sully said heart broken, this the last thing she wants to here today.
“Because you too slow to realize there is so much going on in the right now” her mom yells.
“Your doing too much” Sully said angrily think that her mom.
“Your doing too little” her mom yells.
A hour pass by and Sully’s younger by two years brother Eli comes in. He sees the two still fighting and decides to step in.
“Yo, maybe you should watch Sully.” he says
“See even your little brother know to watch his surroundings” her mom says
“Great now I have two people ganging up on me” she think as she wonders why her brother steps as he usually stays quiet.
As her mom notices that she isn’t getting through to her in the slightest, she decides to make decision.
“For now on, I’ll walk your from the bus” her mother says.
Sully had enough when the thought of getting treated like a baby because her mistake of helping somebody.
“NO” she yelled.
“Yes, until you have enough sense not talk to just anyone” her mom.
“ I hate you” Sully sneered
Sully’s mom went silent as she couldn’t believe what she just said. She scarficed a lot for her kids as she want them to have a life the way she couldn’t. She almost started crying at the moment before she decide to slap Sully.
Tears stream down Sully face as wonder what just happened. She looked at her mom to see her back to her unable to look at her.
“Go away” her mom says with her voice shaking and with her fish balled up.
Instead of going to room like she usually do after a arguement, Sully decides to go outside. She sprints off and runs to whatever place until she calms down.
She ends up in a area where it mostly forest, probably the forest behind the neighborhood. It looks swampy and damp with some many trees around. Sully was nervously about what’s behind the trees but she hers a rumble off thunder.
She look around to find a spot to take cover as she feels rain on her jacket. She finds cave which was weird as there are no caves where she lives.
“this this is scary” she thinks as she in the cave.
She decides to sit and think about what just happened. She starts crying thinking about how everything think she is just too stupid or how much of a nuisance she was. She hated how she couldn’t talk for herself and how she needed to be protected all the time. She just she was different or that her life was different.
She last down on her back and lost up to the ceiling. The cave ceiling was creepy as hell but it didn’t her from daydream. She started to day dream about her adventures of being a space pirate, it was a nice dream.
