Gotta Make Bank

Summary:

It was true, they did need money to pay for supplies and upkeep. Top quality bike equipment and uniforms weren't free, as much as Kanzaki tried to give them everything he could. And even if they were free, the food they needed for races wasn't. And yet, he had to question their new manager's methods.

Crosspost from the 2015 Sports Anime Shipping Olympics, *Bonus* Bonus Round. Original prompt by blueminuet requested Sohoku Seniors content inspired by the songs: "It's Raining Men" by The Weather Girls, "Booty Work" by T-Pain, and "Pony" by Ginuwine, noting that all three are used in Magic Mike.

Ficlet with fanart illustration. Boy do I wish my sketching skills were up to depicting the snake shake properly. Alas!

Work Text:

Image Description: Kinjou, Tadokoro, and Makishima depicted on a roughly-drawn sign, shimmying in their underwear under the words "Sohoku Revue". Side text reads: "See the seniors dance! (Sorry, freshmen aren't over 18) Admission ¥1500!! Never before seen event! Support the bike team!"

Kinjou dropped his face into his hands when he realized the sign was for their team fundraiser. It was true, they did need money to pay for supplies and upkeep. Top quality bike equipment and uniforms weren't free, as much as Kanzaki tried to give them everything he could. And even if they were free, the food they needed for races wasn't. And yet, he had to question their new manager's methods.

"I'm surprised the head teacher hasn't called me yet," he sighed. What on earth had Kanzaki's little sister said when she'd rented the auditorium?

Bustling over, Tadokoro puzzled at the picture. "Is that supposed to be me? I don't think I have dimples on my ass, although I guess I've never looked..."

"Why am I on the floor?" Makishima asked, suddenly appearing over Kinjou's other shoulder. "Am I dead? That does not look natural."

They shared a collective shrug, Tadokoro saying, "You're still shaking your hips. I don't think you're supposed to be dead. I think you're writhing. Probably because she needed space to write the event details, and she'd run out of room on the other side already."

"Ugh. I don't care why she did it. The last thing you're going to catch me doing is writhing on a dusty, danced-up stage. I'll get a splinter."

"You won't get splinters. It's a good stage," their sprinter said.

     "Not. Gonna. Do it."

"Gentlemen, I think we're ignoring the fact that none of us are going to do this." Kinjou pointed to his figure in the middle. "Look at that! She drew me... shaking my junk on a podium! There's no way the school would allow that!"

With a cough, Tadokoro murmured, "Kinjou, I think you're forgetting that thing that time, when--"

"I said the school wouldn't allow it, not that I wouldn't do it. For a good cause."

"That was a great party," Makishima agreed.

"I think we're straying from the topic here."

"At least you're not wearing a thong."

     "Well. I am the Captain."
