[It's silent. An air of hopelessness fills the air as Baz slumps down. They had barely escaped that last room with their lives.]
[Gan doesn't talk much. In fact, he hasn't spoken a word since the start of the mission. He's often referred to as "the strong but silent type". While he doesn't mind this description, he knows it isn't entirely true. Yes, he is physically strong, but in terms of fear, he's just as scared as Baz.]
G: "C'mon."
[Gan, who had been kneeling for a moment while he caught his breath, stands. From where Baz sits, he looks like a god.]
B: “What?” * Baz responds, barely above a whisper. *
[Gan takes a few steps closer to Baz and kneels down so their faces are only a foot apart.]
G: “Listen. I know you’re hurting. I know you’re scared. We’ve lost so much these past few months, and you don’t want to face any more hardship… But we must continue. For Rose. For Samael. And for all those we’ve lost along the way. For ourselves. Because the moment we give up, is the moment we truly lose.”
[Baz’s face is still covered by shadow, but slowly, Baz begins to stand. Gan remains kneeling, and watches his friend rise.]
[The shadow is gone, and Baz is abright with anger and anticipation.]
B: “Then let’s get moving, shall we?”
[Gan smiles slightly but for a moment before readying his rifle.]
G: * nods *
[Baz reloads The Enigma, then pulls out Monte Carlo.]
[They both start walking towards the door. (dramatic camera shot from behind with the lighting from the front granting stark outlines)]
