6:00 am
*BEEP, BEEP, BEEP-
“ahh… just five more minutes…”
*5 or so minutes later…*
“Whaaaaa!! I GOTTA GO!!”
Realizing as she wakes up, she hops out of bed to run to the bathroom to get ready for work. As she gets out of the shower, she drys off her body, carefully drying off her horns and scales on her. Long pink hair now cut short, in something akin to a Bob cut that rested just above her shoulders. She gets out of the bathroom drying off her hair, her turquoise eyes scan through the closet to look for her work clothes. After putting on her work clothes, she grabs her bag and book and heads off to work.
Yep, thats her, the best legal advisor in Liyue to date, Yanfei. She’s got a busy job, going from place to place to inquiry about the clients job for her. Weather it is to solve a trade dispute or solve a legal issue with the client, she does everything. But the one thing that gets to her the most is love affairs. Yes, she solves them, but at the end of the day she’s utterly exhausted.
Today, she’s meeting up with a new client and to that she’s… almost running late, “Ahhh- please make it on time!” She bursts through the door and zooms by running straight to her office.
As she opens the door her head looks towards the clock- *6:45*. “*sigh… just on time…” she sits down on her chair and sits back to catch her breath. The appointment was at 7, so she was relived to not be late.
7:00 am
As she gets ready to see her client, a knock hits upon the door * knock knock*.
“ Come in.” Yanfei sets her documents to the side to see who opens her door and to her surprise a familiar figure comes forth;
“Goooooood Morning!!!” A girl comes striding in with long brown hair that spiraled into twin tails, with tips of each strand dipped in crimson red. Pupils a spiraling flower, which left Yanfei in awe.”I’m here to ask about advertising legally!”
“Ah- yes what can I do for you?” Yanfei finally snapping back to reality forgetting that she has a job to do. “What specifically can I help you with?”
“Ah…. hmmm… ah- what can I do legally for advertising?” The flower-eyed girl asked.
“Umm… you can hand out coupons/fliers, it’s perfectly fine and reasonable.” Yanfei respond professionally.
“Ohh! Thank you!!”
“Umm? no problem? is that all” ( After all she’s my only client today. Also why so early.)
“Yep! Oh-also I’m I perhaps your only client today?”
“Umm, yes?”
“Great!” She hops over to yanfei side and grabs her hand, “Wanna go out for lunch!?”
“WHAT??” Yanfei sat there dumbfounded by the question, ( I mean yes i’m free after this, but…) the girl looked at her with sparkling eyes as she grips Yanfei’s hands tighter. (Oh whatever, i guess it wouldn’t hurt) “ *sigh* sure why not- Ah, Hey wait!!”
In excitement her eye lit up and pulls her up to drags her out of her seat, “YAY!!! Alright lets goooo!!! Oh- yeah, I forgot to introduce myself, I’m Hu tao, the 77th director of the Wangsheng funeral parlor! Nice to meet you, best legal advisor in town! ehehe!” she looked back at Yanfei with a bright smile. Yanfei looking right at her, couldn’t help but smile as well.
Later walking through Liyue
“Hey, this place I’m taking you to is amazing trust me! Oh- and don’t worry about the bill I’ll pay!”
“Ok, ok, I trust you and also we are splitting the bill, it doesn’t sit well with me with you paying it all.”
“Nooo!!! I’M the one taking you out for lunch!”
“Nope, WE are splitting the bill.”
“But-“
“Nope, we are splitting the bill.”
“ *hmph* fine! We’ll split the bill!”
As they walk hand on hand, haven’t letting go since morning, Hu Tao pouting along the way, they walk to a place called “Three Round Knock Outs”.
“I have a friend here who makes these amazing dishes, like you won’t even believe it! oh! and speak of the devil she’s right here!”
Short navy blue hair and brown eyes shining bright as if they find something new to play with and smile shining bright like the sun the girl speaks up, “Hello, my name is Xianling, its nice to meet you!”
“Hello, My name is Yanfei, its nice to meet you as well.” ( So this is the upcoming renowned chef of Liyue hmm?)
“Well now that introductions are done… lets order!!” Hu tao drags Yanfei to table and Xianling gets ready to have them order;
“What would you like to eat?”
“I would like steamed fish with a side of prawn dumplings please!”
“Ah- I would like crab roe tofu please.”
“Alright, that’ll be coming right up!”
As Hu tao and Yanfei waits for their food to arrive;
“Hey, yanyan~”
“yanyan?” as Yanfei asked puzzled.
“Yeah! yanyan! how you like it? I thought it’d be a nice nickname for you!”
As Yanfei’s face turns a little red from the embarrassing nickname, “Umm… don’t you think it’s a bit to soon for nicknames?” (though I don’t particularly mind)
“It’s never to late for nicknames!” As Hu tao gleams with excitement, “Your new name shall be Yanyan!”
“Ohh, whatever, do as you please.” Yanfei sighs and looks to side with a little smile on her face. “Oh then I shall give you a nickname as well.”
“Oh! Yay!” Hu tao looks at yanyan eagerly waiting for a response, with starry eyes.
“Ah- Umm… oh, how about Tao?”
“Ahhh! I like it! Yay!” As Hu tao gleams with excitement, Yanfei looks at her with a smile.
After a little chatting, their food appears:
“Here ya go! 1 steamed fish with a side of prawn dumplings and 1 crab roe tofu, please enjoy!”
“Thank you!” they both said.
“Mmmmmm, as always this is good!!!” As Hu tao shoves another prawn in her mouth.
“Mmm, this is really good, thank you Xianling.”
“No problem, I love cooking, so I love seeing the happy faces when people eat my goods!”
Afternoon
As the day comes to an end with endless chatter, Hu tao and Yanfei head to the port. Walking side by side they stop to admire the sunset.
“You know, today was really fun.”
“*gasp* Really! I’m glad! I hope we can keep doing this yanyan!”
“Yeah, me too.” Yanfei looks off into the sunset reflecting off the ocean painting it orange and red. She looks to her side seeing Hu tao. She shines brightly in the sun as if butterflies surround her. Her hair blows into the wind as her eyes is fixated on the sunset reflected what was being seen. (ah… she’s beautiful)
As the day comes to an end, Yanfei and Hu tao part ways giving each other a goodbye. Yanfei knew this was a day she going to remember. While before she met Hu tao, she has heard bad things about her, but she couldn’t get that impression. Yanfei knew in the day she met her, she was kind, energetic, extroverted, liking to play a bit of tricks here and there. She wasn’t gonna let rumors get in the way of her thinking when she made a new friend along the way.
Next day
As usual Yanfei gets ready for work and heads out. Walking through Liyue to find her clients and solving them one by one in her busy day.
She walks along the side of Liyue harbor losing energy and as she’s about to her energy she finds a girl handing out coupons on the side, “Here, here! Buy your coffin now and get the next service free!” She immediately knew who she was and walks over while getting energy back;
“Looks like you took my advice, huh?” She smiles, as she walks up to her.
“Hm? Yep! I’ve been getting customers here and there! ehehe! Ah- after I’m done you want to grab a bite yanyan?”
“ *sigh* Sure, why not tao. It’s been a long day.” Yanfei smiles and Hu tao smile back at her.
