I opened my eyes for what seemed like the hundredth time that night to look at the clock. 12:48 it read. I could not get any rest at all. I just didn't feel tired.
Thank god I didn't have work tomorrow, or else Kunikida would have yelled at me for dozing off. Although he would probably blame Dazai saying that he probably kept me up during the night.
I felt my stomach growl and decided to go to the kitchen to get a small snack. I slowly pulled Dazais arms off of my waist and quietly got up and walked over to the kitchen.
I turned on a small light and looked around to see what I could eat. I was looking for a while until I spotted a packet of gummies.
I quickly took the gummies before turning off the light and heading back to my room. I sat on the bed and tried to open the gummies without making noise.
"Stupid noisy plastic" I mumbled, trying not to wake dazai up. The plastic kept making noise no matter what I tried. I put it under the covers, tried opening it slowly, whatever you could think of. It didn't work.
I was almost ready to accept defeat until I felt a hand start to hold my own. I looked over to see Dazai with his eyes open.
"Shit, did I wake you up? Sorry!" I whispered to him. He chuckled softly "You know I can't fall asleep before you," he motioned for me to lay down with his free hand. "Get to bed or Kunikida will kill both of us"
I layed down beside him while he stroked my hair in a calming motion. Surprisingly, I actually started to get tired.
Before I knew it, I dozed off.
