Yugo stood waiting at the altar with his hands shaking behind his back.
Today was the day.
The day he will finally marry his precious Rinrin.
The war ended a good ten years ago, and he and his counterparts, together with Rin’s, had been separated a few months after it ended.
Since then, he’s gotten along with them and the other bracelet girls.
But most importantly, he got to finally be with his Rin again… He sighed, realizing how long ago that was…
He looked at the benches where the people sat.
His counterparts were with their girls, and all six sat quietly on the second row from the front, all of them with reassuring expressions.
Some lancers and some people from Synchro that he knew occupied the rest. His best friend, Shingo, was in one of the seats at the back. He put a thumbs up. Yugo nodded.
His adoptive parents Yoko and Yusho also occupied the second row from the front in the other column. Yoko waved at him and he waved back nervously.
The whole place had been designed by the other Yu’s, Bracelet Girls, and Rin herself, and they did a brilliant job making the place snow-themed.
Suddenly, the doors at the edge of the hall opened. Most of everyone looked back at once, oo-ing and awe-ing at seeing her.
He gulped, then, slowly, breathed in and out to calm his shaky nerves and breath.
There in the middle was Rin, dressed in a shoulderless sparkling white dress with long, white gloves covering her hands and most of her forearms.
Within her left hand was a bouquet of flowers picked by Yuzu and arranged by Yuri. Her right hand was with Shuzo’s left, as the guy had taken the girls and Shun in, adopting them and becoming the best father to them as much as he could.
And from there, a song he remembered all too well started to play in his mind…
Not sure if you know this,

I got so nervous I couldn't speak…
He smiled. This… brought back some childhood memories… how he didn’t approach her first and did nothing but hide behind the orphanage’s headmistress.
In that very moment

He had been crushing on her since.

With every slow step of Rin and Shuzo’s feet, the more he got nervous.

Rin looked up at him, smiling. It helped to calm his nerves.

Finally, Shuzo handed him Rin’s hand.

He smiled, nodding, before he guided her up to the front of the officiant.

They exchanged their vows with soft voices…

He took a ring from the ring bearer, Reira,

And put it on Rin’s ring finger, after which Rin did the same.

They stared into each other’s eyes—his ocean blues meeting Rin’s ginger own.

And then the officiant said the words, “You may kiss the bride.”

Yugo pulled the veil to the side of her face. And, instantly, they pulled each other into a long kiss.

Cheers and loud yells of joy came from the crowd behind them, but they ignored it and put their attention on just each other.

They let each other go.

They let go of each other and put their foreheads together.

Oh, she does… it has always been their signature color, as well. The runner they've built and Clear Wing’s main colors have always been white.
And if a daughter is what our future holds,

He grinned at the thought.
He hopes, someday, maybe…?

A sad but happy thought, nonetheless. It would be a nice thing to do…
But, yes. When they have a child someday, he wants them to hopefully be like his Rin here… It would be awesome, he thought, and he would love and cherish them as much as he does to Rin.

He cried tears of joy. Rin asked why, but he just said that... he was happy.

Forever he will be with her. In her up’s and her down’s, he’ll be there for her.
When she falls, he’ll catch her. When she’s “down and troubled and needs a helping hand,” just like in the song the line is from, he’ll come running to her.
Because he knows Rin would do the same for him, if need be.

The officiant congratulated them and let them go.
Rin’s Maid of honor, Ruri, and bridesmaids, Yuzu and Serena, approached her, with the first two pulling her into a group hug while jumping up and down in joy. Serena hugged her after the others let her go.
Meanwhile, Yugo’s best men—they were fighting for the role so he chose all of ‘em—Yuto, Yuri, and Yuya, all went up to him and congratulated him and Rin.
Yuri went as far as carrying the guy on his back… He almost fell but regained his balance.
The celebration didn’t distract Yugo from this certain thing, though:
Looking at Rin, he thought that there was no turning back now.
And while others dreaded that, the two embraced it. They’ve been through so much together, and no matter what, they always held on to each other.
There was a bond they shared—a bond they know will last forever.
No fight nor person will break it. And if ever they would have the former, they know that they will talk it out.
Such things are inevitable in a relationship, especially ones that need commitment, such as this.
And he will make sure that such a petty thing will not break them apart.
Yuri put him down, and Yugo approached Rin and held her hands with his.
He will love her forever and ever, as she will as well.
