Chapter Text
Diluc was cleaning up around the Angels share, it was about to be closing time and the bar was quite desolate by now since everyone had left. He was already in an irritated mood becuase his brother Kaeya had decided today was the perfect day to argue with him about how he 'sold off his father's legacy', so naturally when he saw the drunken bard passed out on one of the tables, he only grew angrier. Deciding that he would deal with Venti after he had finished cleaning up, he carried on with his work.
He cleaned table after table and finnally arrived at the last one, picking up the glasses he glanced at where the drunken bard was slumped over. Diluc sighed wearily, this wasn't the first time Venti had one too many drinks and he doubted it was the last. He looked up at the clock and realized it was about 15 minutes until the bar was closed. The red-head made his way over to Venti, and tried to wake him up by shaking his shoulder. He soon discovered that the blue haired boy was immune to this. Diluc then resorted to repeatedly saying his name, which had no affect whatsoever on him. Finnally, he grabbed the drunkards face and lifted it, his grip was firm yet gentle enough to not cause any pain. Diluc lowered his face so that it was eye level with Venti's
"Oye, wake up". This seemed to do the trick, as the boy opened his pretty blue eyes immediately. His face was red from all the alcohol he had, and he had a look of confusion on his face.
"Hic- ma-master diluc-? hic-" his words were a bit muffled since Diluc had accidentally been squeezing his cheeks together.
"You need to leave, the tavern is closed." The taller one of the two said gruffly. "Get out."
The drunkard got up and attempted to walk, but after two or three steps he tripped and fell straight on his face. Diluc rolled his eyes as he helped Venti get up.
"You can't get home by yourself, can you?", The red-head asked with a tone of irritation in his voice, to which Venti replied with shaking his head drowsily. Diluc rolled his eyes again and lifted the bard into his arms.
"Can you atleast tell me where you live?" There was no response to this, so he asked again. Still no reply. He rolled his eyes a third time, did Venti seriously fall asleep? Or maybe he was pretending, who knows. Nonetheless he had to do something about the apparently sleeping person he was carrying on his shoulder.
Diluc stepped out of the bar into the cool night air. Venti was quite heavy despite his looks. Diluc pondered for a minute, should he just leave the bard here outside in the cold? The prospect seemed inviting, yet for some reason he didn't follow through with it. Maybe he felt bad? He didn't know himself. He decided to carry Venti all the way to dawn winery, it was a long way but he figured he could manage.
