Chapter Text
When August entered the cavern, he was met with the sound of a roaring waterfall and the stale scent of stagnant air. The cave was covered in flowering vines. They were climbing up the walls and dripping from the ceiling. Behind the waterfall August saw the glint of gold and ruby. He ducked into the tunnel behind the waterfall and what August found was magnificent. A cavern of glittering gold and precious stones. August looked upon the walls, carved by large claws, dragons. He picked up a silver and sapphire locket sealed with time. After searching the rest of the cave he stepped through the waterfall. In the main cavern among the foliage, buried by vines he found bones. Dragon bones, the ribs easily twenty-five feet. The spine was at least seventy feet long. The dragon was wrapped around a jewel encrusted nest. The nest housed three emerald eggs. Uncracked. Shimmering a deep green in the light of glowing mushrooms and a flashlight.
