I was supposed to post this yesterday but got caught up in stuff. MerMay might be over, but the inspiration lives on! This art is a gift to my dear friend magma, and I'm sharing it here with her blessing. It was she who planted the idea of Naruto as a lionfish in my mind. I love you, my friend.

How I draw, for those who might be curious:

I love a mixture of traditional and digital art style, so I sketch the basic outline and shading with pencil on paper. Then I scan it and upload it to PS, where I apply a more complex/layered shading with the Dodge and Burn Tool, I correct some anatomy errors thanks to the ability to zoom in on very small areas and work on them to my heart's content, and I clean up the image. When I draw digitally, I draw with a mouse.
