Work Text:
Nagi were in a bad mood for the past few hours. Soon gonna be Valentine's Day and the blond was expecting to be able to spend some time with his boyfriend. However, he barely had time with him, their schedule being really tight recently. Unfortunately, when Nagi asked Mitsuki to spend time with him on that day, he was already occupied. He told him that it was already decided that he will spend time with Yamato for his birthday.
Nagi was a bit bumped from that, but still proposed to spend the day all the three together. Yet, Mitsuki refused, saying they were going to drink, and that Nagi still wasn’t allow to.
It annoyed Nagi a little. He tried to remind Mitsuki about the day, but no matter what he could only think of it as Yamato’s birthday.
Nagi was still pouting when someone entered the room.
“What’s the sad face, Nagi?” Yamato asked, as if being summoned by Nagi’s thoughts.
“Couldn’t you have been born another day,” Nagi responded.
“Nagi, what the hell??”
Nagi gave another dramatic sighed, while pouting.
“Why that sudden blame, anyway?”
Nagi started to explain to him his conversation with Mitsuki.
“Couldn’t you not have been born another day, and let him remember it’s Valentine Day,” Nagi whined, again.
“You know I have no control over my birthday, right?” Yamato sighed as the other boy send him a glare while pouting, yet again, “I am sure that Mitsu will make up to you soon enough.”
Nagi didn’t glance at him this time, spending too much time glooming over. But if he did it, he would have see Yamato’s sympathetic gaze.
A few days later, Valentine's Day was there, Nagi came back home in a sad mood. When he entered the main room, he was surprise to see Mitsuki already here, alone.
“Mitsuki? What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be out with Yamato?” he asked half concerned and half pouting.
“Ah, well, Yamato-san had something else that came up. So we couldn’t go as we suppose to.”
Nagi felt a bit bad to be happy about that. He saw how disappointed Mitsuki was, but he was happy to actually be able to spend time with his boyfriend. He quickly shoved that thought out, by taking Mitsuki in his arms.
“Well, in that case we can go out together!”
“Ah, no!” the other boy exclaimed, surprising Nagi, “Sorry, Nagi, I just don’t want to go out anymore.”
“Ah…” Nagi responded, deflected. He stayed silent a few seconds, before smiling again, “Then we can cook together!”
“Cook? Cooking what?”
“Chocolate!”
Mitsuki started to laugh at Nagi’s enthusiasm, which Nagi took that as a yes. So he started to sprinted toward the kitchen, taking Mitsuki by the arm. His laugh double at that.
Once in the kitchen, the two of them just take out all the ingredients, having fun baking. At one point, Nagi put a little of the dough on Mitsuki. He let out an amused exclamation, before taking his revenge. But Nagi saw it coming, so he dodged before capture Mitsuki in his arms once again and kissing him where he put the dough.
“Nagiii,” Mitsuki whined, but the underlying fondness could still be heard, “We need to concentrate on the chocolates!”
Soon after they get back to the dough, and then they let the chocolate cool down. Nagi took Mitsuki’s arm yet again and bring him to his room before putting a DVD of Zero. Mitsuki smiled once again, bringing one to Nagi’s face, as they sat down to watch it.
“Nagi, thanks…”
“No problem Mitsuki, I am glad we could spend time together.”
“Also sorry Nagi.”
“Why are you apologizing?”
“I knew today was Valentine’s Day…” Mitsuki started as Nagi turned toward him surprised, “I actually I wanted to buy something special today! But I have no time before. And I had no idea what to give you! After all you are a prince! So I asked Yamato-san to help me but…”
“Why?” Nagi cut him, “I would be okay with whatever you buy me, as long as you put thought in it. Even just spending time with you is enough. No need to act as if you forget what day is it and lied to spend time with Yamato’s for his birthday.”
“Oh that part wasn’t a lied, I actually wanted to spend time with him for his birthday you know. But I yeah, I don’t know, realizing that you are prince, might mess up my head a little, aha.”
“Mitsuki,” Nagi said, his voice so soft, “Me being a prince, doesn’t mean anything about my love for you or our relationship, especially here in Japan.”
“Yeah, sorry Nagi. Honestly, I am glad, Yamato-san wasn’t able to came at the end. Spending time with you, remind me, that no matter what you are still Nagi at the end.”
“Yes, exactly!” Nagi laughed, “Mitsuki, I love you.” he continued.
Then he kissed softly, like a feather, Mitsuki’s lips. Hoping for the other boy to understand how much he loved him and how he meant to him. But as he was about to pull away, Mitsuki grabbed his head to kiss him back. The kiss was harder, as if he tried to answer Nagi’s love by his.
The blond could felt the other boy tongue asking to enter his mouth. He happily let him enter, the kiss growing deeper. Both of them expressing how much they meant to one another. The DVD of Zero forgotten in the background.
Their make out session was unfortunately cut short (in Nagi’s mind) by the alarm telling them it was time to decorate the chocolates. Mitsuki laughed at Nagi’s pout, before gave him one last kiss, before getting up.
Nagi smiled as he followed his boyfriend. Then the two of them started decorated the chocolates. At first, they decorated as Kokona and Zero, but before slowly they started using other decorations. Therefore, with their Kokona and Zero chocolates, where one of Usamimi friends, Osama pudding, guitars, stars, beers, and seven one in form of rainbows.
