Work Text:

One day, Saki was feeling alright. But then what happened is that she caught a terminal illness. This terminal illness was called Ligma. Unfortunately, since she caught the illness, she went to the hospital.

Everything seemed to be going alright in the hospital until Saki suddenly got worse. And that was bad.

Saki was on her phone one day, in the hospital bed. It was just like any other day in the hospital, it was boring. That's why Saki was on her phone. Or at least she was, until her chest felt funny. And then it began to hurt. And then it all went black.

Ichika opened the door to the hospital in a panic, the door swinging wide open and hitting the wall.

“Excuse me,” Ichika asks the hospital front desk recipient.

The recipient looks up from the computer and looks over at Ichika, “Hello. How may I help you?”

“Uhm, I’m here to see my friend. She’s staying in your hospital?” Ichika asks.

“Oh, sure,” the person at the front desk says. She turns to her computer to open a tab, “What’s the name of your friend.”

“Uhm…Tenma…Tenma Saki…”

The lady starts typing up something into the computer. After a while, Ichika looks over.

“Yeah, your friend is fucking dead.”

Damn, Ichika thought. This would be a great time to take a selfie.

And so, with all the sensitivity of a two-year-old child that has just noticed that a woman’s dress is slightly off-center, Ichika pulled out her phone and took a selfie in front of the prone body of her ailing friend.

Honami sat there, absolutely devastated as she stared down at the corpse of her closest friend.  She lay there lifeless- unmoving, body contorted into a pose that could only be comparable to Peter Griffin, after he fell down the stairs tragically.

Next to ichika lay her brunette friend, honami, on the ground. Ichika made sure to capture her in her photo, that pool of tears she lay in was just pristine. She had to capture this moment

“Here lies Saki Tenma, beloved keyboardist, sister, and friend.”

Ichika stood in front of the gravesite, staring at these words engraved on a nondescript piece of rock in the soft, slightly moist grass. All that remained of her dearest friend, who would only be remembered by those close to her.

The words engraved on sakis gravestone, ‘good morning project sekai fiction’ were the last memory of her.

Taking her guitar out of the case, she strummed a few chords, then began to sing.

On the last train, you board, leaving me behind,

It departs on, slowly, and the ground slides away.

Don't cry, just don't cry, but the truth is, I want to say it out loud,

"Don't go."

“Maybe I should take a selfie again…” Then, Ichika pulls out her phone. Click.

Shiho awoke.

Still straight tho.

Saki was straight in her grave, singing ifuudoudou.
