The nobility of Dimmaville had always been a strange one, with members of the upper echelon often engaged in the strangest of pursuits. So it was not seen as strange when Lord Sackubicth and Lady Favolia Reine, two prominent members of the court, began to engage in an ongoing battle of epic flirtation.
The whole affair began at a ball that was hosted by the Lord and Lady. Both had relatively recent marriages and were eager to cut loose and have some fun. Unbeknownst to one another, they had both had an interest in the other but had each been too shy to draw near. Upon meeting that night and seeing the simmering desire in the other’s eyes, they decided to take the plunge and embark on a playful quest of one-upping each other.
Those in attendance were quite pleased with the spectacle, as each move Lord Sackubicth made was met with an even more risqué response by Lady Reine. Everyone at the party was captivated to watch the two of them make waves on the dance floor, as their moves and words blended in to an almost symphony of flirtation.
The rivalry between the two continued on for months, becoming an ongoing show that everyone looked forward to attending. Finally, one night, when the wines had been flowing and the firelight had warmed the room, Lady Reine stepped up and proposed to Lord Sackubicth. Quite flustered and amazed, Lord Sackubicth accepted, for he knew he had met his match in Lady Reine.
Everyone cheered at the newly engaged couple, and a new era of Dimmaville was kicked off, as the rivalry between Lord Sackubicth and Lady Reine had not only led to epic flirting, but eventually, marriage.
