Chapter 1: San Fransokyo

Chapter Text

The room is dimly lit, the only source of illumination coming from the small lamp on Hero's desk. The ticking of the clock on the wall is the only sound in the room, creating a sense of calm and tranquility. Hero is lost in thought, his eyes fixed on the blank piece of paper in front of him.

Suddenly, Baymax walks into the room, his large, white frame filling the doorway. Mochi, Hero's cat, follows closely behind, rubbing against Baymax's leg in greeting.

"Good kitty, good kitty," Baymax says, smiling down at Mochi. He then turns his attention to Hero. "Hero, what are you doing?"

"Thinking," Hero replies, his voice soft and thoughtful.

Baymax nods, his robotic eyes observing every movement of the young inventor's hand as he scribbles down his thoughts. "On a scale of 1-10, how do you rate your emotional anguish?"

Hero laughs softly, the sound echoing through the quiet room. He gets out of bed and sits at his desk, his pen poised over the paper.

"I'm fine, Baymax," he says, his eyes focused on the task at hand. "But, you've given me an idea for my project."

Baymax tilts his head in curiosity. "What is your idea, Hero?"

Hero's eyes light up with excitement as he explains his plan. "I want to create a new type of robot. One that can detect danger and protect people from it, basically... you and nanobots combined."

Baymax nods, processing the information. "That is a noble goal, Hero. How do you plan on achieving it?"

Hero leans back in his chair, tapping his pen against his chin as he thinks. "Well, I've been studying different types of robotics and artificial intelligence for a while now. I think I have a few ideas on how to combine them to create something truly innovative."

Baymax nods again, his expression remaining neutral. "I see. Would you like me to assist you in any way?"

Hero smiles gratefully at his friend. "Of course, Baymax. Your expertise in robotics will be invaluable to this project."

The two of them spend the next few hours discussing and planning the details of Hero's new robot. They bounce ideas off each other, brainstorming ways to make it more efficient and effective. The room is filled with the sound of their voices, the excitement and anticipation palpable in the air.

As the sun begins to rise outside, Hero stretches his arms and yawns. "I think we've made some good progress, Baymax. I'm excited to see where this project goes."

Baymax nods in agreement. "As am I, Hero. I believe this new robot has the potential to make a real difference in people's lives."

Hero grins, feeling a surge of inspiration. "That's exactly what I'm hoping for, Baymax. Let's finish this robot,"
