Work Text:

The day had dawned clear, the sky was bright and the weather was not so hot, but very pleasant. Jungkook had taken the opportunity to gather the Quidditch team for another training session, they had a game over the weekend against the Gryffindor team, the final, before the ball for the presentation of the Goblet of Fire and the Cup of the Triwizard Tournament this year.

Jungkook was excited, because for the first time he managed to take a Ravenclaw team to the final and in centuries, his house had never seen a team so prepared to face the always victorious, Gryffindor.

But it wasn't just the game that made Jungkook anxious and excited. The ball was also something that had been living on his mind lately. Especially when he thought of the person he would like to invite.

"Captain! Sorry I'm late!" Eunwoo said, standing next to Jungkook and smiling.

"You're not late, we haven't started yet, Jin-sun is bringing the equipment." Jungkook said and saw the guy he mentioned coming "There he is!"

"He looks sad..." Eunwoo said and Minkyu approached.

"His pet died." Minkyu said and Jungkook glared at him.

"What? Why didn't anyone tell me? I could have told him he didn't have to come today." Jungkook said.

"It happened earlier today, during breakfast, everyone was talking about it, how did you not know about it, captain?" Minkyu looked at him confused.

"What was his animal anyway?" Eunwoo asked curiously.

"Was it a mouse? Hamster? I'm not sure." Minkyu said "He was devoured, by Viper!"

"The Prince of Slytherin's snake?" Eunwoo asked and Jungkook stared at them, interested.

"The poor little animal didn't have a chance, apparently it escaped and Jin-sun's little mouse was already lost for 3 days..." Minkyu spoke quietly "Apparently the snake found it first."

"Sorry I'm late, captain." Said Jin-sun, placing the equipment on the ground.

"Jin-sun..." Jungkook started.

"Kim Jin-sun!" Another voice said, a little farther away, gaining the attention of the entire Ravenclaw team.

And there he was. Jungkook thought.

Walking accompanied by his two best friends, Yoongi and Taemin, also from Slytherin, he came, Park Jimin. His two-button open shirt, with necklaces showing, his hair going more platinum every day, like a natural ice blonde and silver earrings swinging as he approached.

He was known as the Prince of Slytherin because he was the most important name of the year in the house, the purest wizarding blood that ever occupied Korea's wizarding elite flowed in his veins. The last three generations of the Park family occupied Slytherin house, they were also known for financially sponsoring school events.

But Park Jimin was more than a household name in the wizarding world, he was the class president, one of the best students in the school and despite the house he was destined to be in, he was known as the kindest person to ever wear the colors greens.

Park Jimin was also the boy who made Jungkook's heart race.

"Kim Jin-sun! I finally found you!" Park Jimin said and Jungkook looked at him and then at Jin-Sun "I'm sorry captain for interrupting your training, but I need a minute." He said and Jungkook just nodded in agreement, unable to speak, trying to hide his flushed face when he heard Jimin call him 'Captain'.

"He's always so cool." Someone commented, behind Jungkook and he turned to face him, missing when Jimin grabbed Jin-sun's hand, returning to stare at the two with wide eyes.

"Kim Jin-sun, I need to apologize for Viper's behavior!" Jimin said and Yoongi, faced one of the students who started to whisper but stopped immediately due to the stares. "I didn't believe it when I heard the news, I always take care not to let Viper get away, but somehow she managed to get out and I was at the student council meeting when it happened, I was so sad, I can't imagine the pain you are feeling upon losing your best friend." Jimin said, in a soft voice.

And Jungkook smiled, finding it cute how he spoke.

"Park Jimin..." Jin-sun was surprised and nervous.

"I'm here to apologize, with all my heart." Jimin said and Jin-sun nodded "And..." He moved closer "I have a proposition."

"Huh?" Jin-sun blinked in confusion.

Jimin leaned close to Jin-sun's ear and whispered something, while all the other students looked at each other. Yoongi and Taemin remained standing there, almost bored of being there and when Jimin finished talking, he walked away, looking at Jin-sun, hopefully.

"Hm… ok, yeah, ok, maybe that's good." Jin-sun said and Jimin smiled.

"Alright, see you then." Jimin said excitedly and looked at Jungkook "Thank you so much captain for letting me use your time." He fiddled with Jungkook's tie, who opened his mouth in surprise "Good training for you!"

Jimin called out to Yoongi and Taemin, all three of them backing away.

"Park Jimin doesn't really seem to have Slytherin blood in his veins, he's so good." Minkyu said and Eunwoo nodded

"What did he say to you, Jin-sunah?" Jungkook asked.

"I can't say, captain, he asked me to keep it a secret." Jin-sun said "Can we start training? I feel better captain."

"Alright, let's go to the field." Jungkook said, swallowing his curiosity.

Because that Park Jimin was the boy that Jungkook liked and that he was rehearsing the best way to ask him to the ball. The thought that occupied his mind. Everyday.

Jimin was sitting on the sofa next to the window, watching the black lake, in the Slytherin dungeon, when he felt a weight on his shoulder. Without giving it any importance, hearing the already common noise, he let Viper, his pet snake, go down his arm, curling up to his hand, as if asking for attention.

The snake was still propped up on the sofa and was sprawled across the lampshade next to the sofa, casting a shadow on the wall. She was big now, almost two meters, her scale was greenish black, shiny and Jimin remembers that he received Viper as a gift from his grandfather, five years ago. He said that Jimin should take her to school when Jimin started his freshman year, to impress. A Park. Pure blooded and with a rare snake. As the Slytherin deserved.

Jimin sighed as Viper started to curl more into his hand.

"I know what you're doing, I'm still pretty pissed at you." Jimin said and the snake hissed, leaning back to look Jimin in the eyes "We were doing so well, out of trouble and you do this, I'm trying something here, change how they see our house name and my family name, this is so..."

"Jimin-ah?" Taemin called out, and was startled for a moment when he saw Viper, like everyone else did "Have you forgiven her yet?" he joked.

"Jimin was giving the good Slytherin speech to Viper." Yoongi said, gaining the attention of his friend who walked in and noticed him reading by the fireplace.

"Come on, Jimin-ah! She's a snake, she just acted like she's supposed to act." Taemin said and Jimin glared at him "Some things are natural, like your parents' ambition to try to change the rules of the Triwizard Tournament so that you represent the school."

"This is ridiculous." Jimin said "I don't have the slightest desire to participate, I don't know why my mother can't leave things as they are..." He sighed "Always so controlling."

"No one under the age of seventeen has participated since Harry Potter, you would be important!" Taemin said and Jimin rolled his eyes "I'm not saying you'd be more successful than you already are because there's a rumor going around the halls that all the girls at school are waiting for your invitation to ball."

"Are people really excited for this ball?" Yoongi asked.

"Hyuna is the big name that wants our Jimin this year, the star of Gryffindor has her eye on a boy from Slytherin, there's nothing else to say and she said that if you didn't invite her, she would do it herself, leaving all girls panic because there is no competition when Hyuna is participating." Taemin said and Yoongi laughed "They would be like Korean royalty at Hogwarts."

"As if she had the chance, Jimin's mother wouldn't let him go to the ball with anyone outside of our house." Yoongi said and Jimin nodded.

"So it's going to be a Slytherin girl? Who are you thinking of?" Taemin asked.

"Why does it have to be a girl?" Jimin questioned.

"Oh, Jimin-ah." Taemin sat down and chuckled "Jimin-ah, you really want attention, right? One thing is who you want to hang out with, another is the ball, do you think any boy from Slytherin would agree to go to the ball with you? All of them are desperate for you not to try to steal their girlfriends."

"I could go with you if you like, it would save me the trouble of inviting someone else." Yoongi said.

"I want to go with someone I'm interested in, not just for attention." Jimin replied and Viper moved closer to the window "Anyway I'm still thinking about it, maybe I'll go alone or just don't go."

"Your mother is one of the sponsors, she will announce the arrival of the triwizard tournament cup, of course you will be at the ball." Taemin said.

"Yes, but..." He heard the clock in the living room beep, startling his friends "I have to go, did you get what I asked you for, Taemin?"

"Yes, it's in the box" Taemin pointed out "Be careful not to get caught." He smiled when Jimin left, turning to face Yoongi and then Viper "Thanks Viper, you brought some Slytherin spirit to Jimin-ah."

"I can't believe he proposed this to Jin-sun, the motive is noble, but the action is… finally him turning from being perfect to doing the true magic that everyone expected of him, his parents would be proud." Yoongi said

"Our baby is growing, Yoongi-ah!" Taemin said and Yoongi nodded.

Jungkook was pretending to pay attention to what Eunwoo was saying, but his eyes and ears were on Jin-sun, who was sitting behind his friend. As the boy got up and made his way out of the common room, Jungkook made up that he had forgotten a potions book in the library and needed to get it, knowing Eunwoo wouldn't ask to go with him.

The young captain surreptitiously followed the fifth year student, hiding behind a pillar when Jin-sun stopped in an empty corridor, close to the garden, away from the common rooms and any movement.

Jungkook noticed that Jin-sun was nervous and it didn't take long for someone else to join the trembling young man.

Park Jimin.

"Sorry, I had to get my wand from my room." Jimin said and Jin-sun nodded, looking down.

"That's it..."

"Your new best friend." Jimin smiled, handing over the box and Jin-sun took a small mouse out of it.

"He is cute." Jin-sun said and Jimin looked around, making Jungkook hide more.

"Are you sure about that? Can I start the spell? It won't hurt." Jimin said and Jin-sun glared at him.

"You're really good at this, right, Park Jimin?" Jin-sun asked, a little nervous.

"Yes, I can do that, but again, you can't tell anyone, we haven't learned about this spell in class yet, but my mom and dad always study spells that we can use to our advantage for... things and it takes a lot of care, you'll probably be better at this than me by seventh year, Ravenclaw are the best at memory spells." Jimin smiled.

"Fine, I'm ready!" Jin-sun glared at Jimin.

Jimin raised his wand. She was dark, even too dark for a willow wand, maybe it was the dragon fiber that made even her presence strong enough to knock some people's breath away when Jimin lifted her. It had a snake coiled at its base with emerald green eyes.

"Obliviate!" said Jimin, concentrated and then he closed his eyes, touching the tip of his wand to Jin-Sun's forehead.

But there seemed to be more to it than just erasing the memory of the dead pet.

And Jungkook blinked in surprise, peering closer. Jimin was creating new memories of Jin-Sun with that little mouse in the box, he was replacing the dead mouse in Jin-Sun's memory. He was practicing a forbidden charm.

Jungkook saw a tear run down Jimin's face and a smile appear on Jin-Sun's face.

When he finished, Jimin smiled and Jin-Sun looked at the little mouse, picking it up and bringing it close to his face, rubbing it like he did with the other animal. The Ravenclaw student thanked Jimin for “finding” his pet and left with his new memories.

Jungkook tried to return to the position he was in, but he saw the Slytherin inspector approaching. He then silently ran towards Jimin who was startled, but also heard someone approaching, running with Jungkook to hide.

They ran to a room that Jimin knew would be open because it was useless, but it was used for some meetings and training, it was like a big empty hall, with just a few cabinet, shelves and chairs stacked. They closed the door after entering the place and trying to return to normal breathing.

"That was close." Jungkook said, breathing heavily.

“Were you spying on me?” Jimin asked, glaring at him and crossing his arms.

"What?"

“You were spying on me!” Jimin accused him.

"A little bit." Jungkook admitted, always being very sincere and Jimin smiled for a second, getting worried then changing his face, then Jungkook tried to state that “I won't say…”

"I didn't do it against his wishes." Jimin said and Jungkook nodded, mentally wondering what exactly Jimin would have done with that spell "I didn't put things he didn't want, I swear."

"I believe in you." Jungkook responded quickly, because Jimin looked very nervous, and grabbed Jimin's shoulder who was now staring at him without blinking. Jungkook felt his heart beat faster than he expected, so he just pulled away quickly as if he had burned his hand by leaving it too long on Jimin, noticing how rude he looked.

He didn't want Jimin to think he was rude for just being nervous about being in front of him, the guy he's been trying to work up the courage to ask for the ball, the guy he's secretly been in love with.

"I…"

"We should go." Jimin said leaving the room first, quickly, leaving a confused Jungkook behind.

"Damn it." Jungkook sighed.

...

It was lunch, all the houses were sitting at their respective tables. From a distance Jungkook stared at Jimin who was also looking at him. But the view was blocked by Hyuna, from Gryffindor house.

“Park Jimin!” Hyuna said and suddenly everyone in the cafeteria was silent.

Jimin just stared at her, giving her a soft smile.

“I was wondering if you would like to accompany me to the ball.” Hyuna said without too much delay, as if she might lose the confidence she displayed and on the ceiling, the floating candles came together, writing her question with the way they lined up.

Everyone applauded it was so cute and Jungkook could see Jimin staring at him, as if analyzing his reaction. And Jungkook realized that he was the only one who hadn't clapped, starting to clap quickly, making Jimin smile with his teeth and lower his head.

“Hyuna Nonna!” Jimin said smiling sweetly and standing up, reaching out to hold her hand "This is one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me, it really charmed me, but I can't take it because I already have a date for the ball."

"What?" Hyuna asked and everyone started whispering.

“Sorry, Nonna! I'm sure anyone here would like to be in my shoes and give you another answer, but I can't do that with my date, I'm sorry.” Jimin said and looked at Jungkook, then looking at Yoongi and Taemin who got up to join him.

Jimin took his wand out of his pocket and pointed it at the ceiling, casting a silent spell, causing the candles to dance and the message to dissolve. Everyone stared at the ceiling in delight and the rejection of Hyuna's request didn't seem so bad.

"You have a pair?" Yoongi is the first to ask when they arrive at the garden, leaning against an enchanted cherry tree, which blooms at any time of the year “Since when?”

“I kind of have…” Jimin smiled shyly “There's someone I know is going to ask me and I'm kind of looking forward to it.”

“You…” Taemin looked at Yoongi who also looked suspiciously at Jimin “How? Every school has a spell to…”

“You said it yourself, my mom always gets what she wants, but there's only one place in this school where I can do that and luckily…” Jimin stopped talking when he saw Jungkook walking by with Eunwoo and Hoseok “Yoongi, you have a class of 'care for magical creatures' with Captain Jungkook, right?”

“From Ravenclaw? I think so, I don't pay much attention to the other students, you know.” Yoongi said

"I need a favor." Jimin asked, smiling gently.

***

“So you were on a secret date with Park Jimin, the Prince of Slytherin, last night?” Hoseok was the first to speak.

“It wasn't a secret date…” Jungkook said quickly.

“So what were you guys doing after curfew?” Eunwoo asked curiously.

And Jungkook knew he couldn't speak the truth. He had promised Jimin and he could get Jimin in trouble if he told him about the spell he did last night.

“Ugh, I can see it in your face that you're trying to make up a lie.” Hoseok said and Eunwoo laughed "Sometimes I wish I was like Park Jimin.”

"What you mean?" Jungkook asked confused.

“Park Jimin is a Legilimens.” Hoseok said and Jungkook widened his eyes “You didn't know that? His parents boast that he is one of the best at this technique, better than any other wizard who ever lived.”

“Can he read our minds? This is fair? He can read our mind during tests or combat…” Eunwoo said in frustration.

"Come to think of it the school has put a spell on the whole school, he can't read anyone's mind here." Hoseok said and Jungkook sighed in relief “But…” Jungkook tensed again “They say there's a room where he can do that…”

It can't be, thought Jungkook.

"The old Dark Magic classroom in the Slytherin wing." Hoseok said and Jungkook turned pale "What's up Jungkookie?"

“Hobi!” Jungkook sighed “I think Park Jimin read my mind.”

“And what were you thinking at the time?” Eunwoo asked.

...

Jungkook had his head resting on the table, waiting for class to start, he particularly loved this class, he loved knowing more about magical creatures, but now, thinking about how Jimin read his mind, he was embarrassed to even think about any anything involving the Prince of Slytherin.

“Jeon Jungkook?” Someone called forward in the entire class, making Jungkook lift his head and face Yoongi, who sighed and looked around “Is Jeon Jungkook here?” He asked again and Jungkook raised his hand “I found you.”

Yoongi walked over to Jungkook, who got nervous just seeing a friend of Jimin's approach. Everyone stared at them, because Yoongi hadn't spoken to anyone other than the two other Slytherin students he had in this class, so everyone was curious.

“He sent this.” Yoongi said and handed over a note, making Jungkook frown “Just don't keep him waiting.” He turned around, startling some students who were staring at him, walking to his own desk and sitting there.

Meet me in the room we hid last night. 5 minutes. - JM

Jungkook read it twice before he believed it, looking at Yoongi who had already turned his attention to a book and then looking at the note again. Jungkook knew he still had about 10 minutes until class started, so he just quickly got out of his seat and made his way to the room he knew he shouldn't have entered last night.

Jungkook was nervous, he took a deep breath before knocking on the door and heard Jimin warning him to come in. But Jungkook knew he couldn't step there because he couldn't control his mind now that he was nervous and he definitely didn't want Jimin to know everything that was going through his mind, his feelings...

He waited there because he knew Jimin would open the door any moment.

"Hey!" Jimin opened the door, smiling sweetly, “I said you could come in, so… come.”

“I prefer to talk from here, do you need something?” Jungkook asked and saw Jimin laugh, place his hand on the door and stare down at him.

“When did you find out?” Jimin asked and Jungkook just lowered his head "Surely yesterday you didn't know, or did you want me to read your thoughts yesterday?"

"It was very invasive of you, I wasn't aware of your tricks." Jungkook said and Jimin blinked in warning “You are definitely a typical Slythe…” Jungkook stopped talking when Jimin walked over covering his mouth with his hand.

A Slytherin. But in the bad sense. That's what Jungkook wanted to say.

“Don't say it like that, please.” Jimin asked, quietly "I'm not like all of them, I swear I didn't read your mind for that purpose, it just happened because I wanted to know if you were going to say about the spell." The Slytherin boy took his hand away from Jungkook's mouth but stayed close "I'm sorry if I invaded your thoughts, I didn't want to make you upset."

“Mm…” Jungkook swallowed and stared at him, feeling his cheeks flush “You're too close.”

"Sorry!" Jimin walked away quickly, heading back into the room, two steps back “But…”

Jungkook continued to stare at him.

“I like to know that you think I have beautiful and bright eyes last night.” Jimin laughed and Jungkook lamented "I think you're cute too."

"Please." Jungkook whined “I…”

“I also wanted to go with you to the ball.” Jimin said and Jungkook was static "I just didn't know if the captain of the Ravenclaw Quidditch team would want to hang out with, you know, the typical Slytherin ."

Jungkook was silent, staring at Jimin. He really was something. Unlike anyone else at school. Jungkook wanted to ask Jimin to the ball, even if he got rejected, but he never imagined that the prince of Slytherin wouldn't mind going with him to the ball.

A boy. A boy from Ravenclaw. A half-blood.

Jungkook knew that family and wizarding lineage was important to most Slytherin wizarding families. Jimin's family was the most pure-blooded. Both of his parents were pure-bloods, from families recognized in the wizarding world. Jungkook was just a half-blood, son of a pure-blood wizard and a muggle. He had muggle grandparents, he had muggle friends and he knew how to live in a world outside of magic.

Jimin and him were different.

Jungkook was from a house that expected the best from him, the best actions, heart and behavior, while Jimin, people expected him to be powerful no matter what, to be feared, superior to everyone there.

But Jimin was different. He's not a typical Slytherin at all.

"You are not a typical Slytherin." Jungkook said and Jimin looked at him with bright, hopeful eyes “And I kind of like…” He was silent, very shy, so he just took a step forward and stepped into the room.

Letting Jimin know through his thoughts.

You. I like you.

Jimin smiled.

“I liked knowing that.” He smiled confidently “So are we going to the ball together?” Jimin said, not wanting to say what Jungkook didn't want to say out loud.

"I think we're going to have to match our ties or something." Jungkook said and Jimin laughed.

“Are you cheesy like that? Alright, I like the way that sounds.” Jimin smiled.

...

It was the ball day. Everyone was very agitated at school and Jimin was really no different from them, but he was trying to control his anxiety. He was wearing the outfit he and Jungkook had bought, a simple black suit with a black shirt and an emerald green pocket square in the front pocket. Jungkook would have a dark blue pocket square and a white shirt.

"I still can't believe it, a Ravenclaw." Taemin said, finishing buttoning the buttons on his shirt sleeve “Your parents are going to kill you.” he sung.

“They will never do that to their precious heir.” Jimin said smugly and Yoongi laughed.

“You finally know the power you have, right? Even to your parents.” Yoongi said.

“Just doing what they taught me, I'm not afraid of anything and anyone.” Jimin said and heard the door to their common room open, knowing it had to be someone from Slytherin.

A Kneazle, with a spotted coat, green eyes and a lion-like tail, entered the room. The feline was Misty, Jimin's mother's pet. And after the feline entered the room, the sound of Heejin's heels, Jimin's mother became present. The woman was very elegant, with a big black coat covering her green silk dress, and her big black hair tied back, but in a way that a few strands of hair, almost white, like the color of Jimin's hair, could still be seen. Like a lock of hair. And she smiled when her eyes met Jimin's.

“Omma!” Jimin said, opening his arms to receive his mother who hugged him tightly, then ran her big nails through the strands of hair that fell on Jimin's forehead.

“My precious son, I missed you.” Jimin's mother said, turning to face Jimin's friends, “Boys, how long has it been, right? Look at you, so elegant.”

“A pleasure to see you again.” Both boys spoke at the same time "And where is Mr Park?"

“Busy, he is working on starting the campaign for Minister of the Ministry of Magic in Korea.” Jimin's mother proudly said, "He has a lot of support for trying out for the position."

Jimin's father was a well-known lawyer in the wizarding world. He mainly defended witches who used the dark arts and forbidden spells, known for his excellence in winning cases, with 99% competence. And now, he was looking to try for the position of Minister of Magic in Korea, where he was born and his entire family was prominent in the wizarding world.

"I was notified." Jimin said, but without much interest.

"I didn't hear who you chose for your date tonight, I asked for information to send a dress from our family to a young lady, but apparently you are very good at hiding things from your Omma." Jimin's mother said, sitting on the couch and holding her pet feline, Misty, “So what? When will I meet her?”

“This is going to be interesting.” Yoongi said, sitting in an armchair, accompanied by Taemin who sat on the arm of the chair.

“Omma…” Jimin started to speak, but a knock on the door interrupted them.

“Excuse me, but the headmaster has asked the students to proceed to the main hall to enter the ball.” Said the Slytherin Inspector.

"We are going." Said Yoongi, approaching Jimin “We are very sorry that we have to leave, but we cannot lose any more points this year.” He spoke to Jimin's mother who smiled in agreement and then the three boys left "You're screwed." He whispered to Jimin who sighed, agreeing but making his way to the ballroom.

At the door, a few couples were already lined up and ready to enter. Jimin didn't have to look far to find Jungkook, sitting up, swinging his leg and looking around.

“Is this place empty?” Jimin asked as he stopped next to Jungkook, who was startled and got up immediately.

“You took your time!” Jungkook said, smiling but still nervous.

And Jimin noticed how he wasn't wearing the pocket square they had bought together.

“Where is your pocket square?” Jimin asked and Jungkook reached into his pocket, pulling out the blue pocket square "And why isn't he here?" He pointed to the pocket in Jungkook's suit.

“I didn't know if you'd want me to wear it yet or… I didn't even know if you'd come.” Jungkook said without much confidence.

“Captain, do you not trust my word?” Jimin asked, taking the pocket square from Jungkook's hand and folding it, placing it in the place they had already defined and smiling as he adjusted the collar of Jungkook's shirt, gaining the attention of some students “How will they know we're a pair? ” He smiled and Jungkook blushed.

Jimin grabbed Jungkook's hand and walked to a place in the row of students. All the students started and whispered, but Jimin ignored everything around him, his eyes only focusing on how Jungkook rattled on about the Quidditch championship he had won.

The game had taken place yesterday, before the ball day, and Jimin had watched it, even though he wasn't really into sports. He watched Jungkook lead Ravenclaw to victory, but they barely had time to talk about it or celebrate as Jungkook celebrated with his Ravenclaw friends and the team.

The queue of couples was decreasing, Jimin could already hear the music and his attention shifted from Jungkook to look at the dance venue. Many teachers, some newspaper correspondents, the band and some students were already occupying the ballroom.

"Everything is fine?" Jungkook asked and Jimin glared at him again.

"Captain, you have a chance now to continue living the good life, away from Slytherins and the attention, but if you choose to stay and go with me, know that I will never leave your side again." Jimin said and Jungkook smiled “But I won’t be able to take away the stares that are going to fall on you right now.”

“Fine, I can handle it.” Jungkook said, trying to reassure Jimin, “There's nothing I want more than to take you to the ball, Jimin.”

Jimin then grabbed Jungkook's hand and walked into the ballroom. Ignoring the flashes that exploded against them, feeling Jungkook's grip tightened as they passed in front of where the guests were, including Jimin's mother, who stared at him without any expression.

The boys stopped in their already defined position and then faced each other to start the first dance. During the ball, they stopped for a drink, laughing as they talked and served a drink, which had a bit of alcohol in it thanks to the seniors.

And everything looked just as they had imagined.

“Jimin!” Jimin's mother's voice was present, making the two boys turn and face the woman "Aren't you going to introduce me to your friend?"

“This is Jungkook, Omma!” Jimin said quickly, taking Jungkook by the hand "I love this song, I'm sorry Omma!" He pulled Jungkook who just waved and smiled at her.

From afar, she watched Jimin and Jungkook dancing and laughing.

“Jeon Jungkook.” A teacher said, approaching Jimin's mother, he was the new dark arts teacher, Jimin's mother could tell just by looking at him "He's from Ravenclaw." He continued saying "The father is an Auror."

“An Auror?” Jimin's mother asked, still staring at her son laughing, touching his forehead to Jungkook's shoulder.

“Yes, but only the father.” The professor poured himself some drink “The mother is a Muggle, he is a half-blood.”

Jimin's mom was speechless.

The music had stopped, and through a spell, the Goblet of Fire, for registration in the Triwizard Tournament, appeared in the center of the ball. The students cheered, applauding, but Jimin took the opportunity to grab Jungkook's hand, smiling and pulling him out of the dance floor, taking advantage of the fact that all attention was on the magical event.

Jimin ran with Jungkook to the top of the clock tower, where they could be alone for a bit before having to go to their rooms at the end of the dance.

"It was a good night." Jimin said, sitting next to Jungkook and intertwining their fingers "I kind of don't want it to end."

"Yes." Jungkook said shyly “I thought you would want to stay to watch the cup presentation, the school was saying that you would be able to compete.”

“My mother wants this.” Jimin said, playing with Jungkook's fingers, not looking at him.

The boys then fell silent. They were both nervous and Jungkook could see that Jimin didn't want to talk about the triwizard tournament.

“I have never done this before.” Jungkook said first and Jimin turned to face him.

"This what?" Jimin asked.

“All of it.” Jungkook said and took a deep breath "You're the first person I've ever liked so I've never felt that feeling before."

Jimin smiled.

And during the silent seconds, Jimin moved his foot on the wooden floor, while Jungkook blinked nonstop, staring at the floor. Both of them were breathing heavily and it seemed that no matter how much they breathed, it wasn't enough, because they felt the lack of air.

Jimin was the first to come closer, spinning around on his feet and getting on his knees in front of Jungkook who was sitting down.

They smiled at each other.

And Jimin leaned up, watching Jungkook close his eyes and their lips were close to touching, but Jimin froze, not moving anymore.

"It's also my first time." Jimin said and Jungkook opened his eyes to stare at him, their noses touching "It's the first time I like someone too."

Jimin and Jungkook then move in the same second, putting their lips together.

For both of them, it was like an explosion in their hearts. Just the brush of their lips together was like connecting two magnets. Jimin leaned on Jungkook's legs so as not to fall and break the kiss, which was innocent, sweet and slow. They drifted apart for milliseconds and then were pulled back together.

Jimin felt that he had been bewitched by Jungkook so that he would never leave again. And Jungkook, he felt like he was inside one of his dreams, where he lived moments like that with Jimin, over and over again.

And those minutes felt like hours. And they knew how to laugh when Jungkook leaned over a little more, causing Jimin to fall to the ground.

Their lips were reddened, their cheeks flushed, their fingers surreptitiously reaching for each other's hands.

And they were living a good young love, sweet, innocent and pure. Jimin stole a few kisses from Jungkook as they made their way out of the tower, he had some Slytherin energy in him so he wasn't afraid at all at that moment. Meanwhile, Jungkook, still very shy, tried to be cautious, but returned all the pecks that Jimin stole.

Jimin was a sweet boy, he left Jungkook in the Ravenclaw dorms, wishing him good night and stealing one last kiss. And without Jungkook noticing, switching pocket squares, leaving his with Jungkook and taking Jungkook's for himself. Jungkook laughed before going to sleep when he noticed when he was getting ready to put on his pajamas.
