Light Up the Night Sky

Summary:

It's Sunniva and Esmeray's birthday along with being the Fourth of July. Rosalie, Vanessa, and Elaine want to pull off something that will make it the best birthday the twins have ever had, along with making it the most memorable Fourth any of them have ever experienced, both human and animatronic alike.

You've gotta read 'A Life With Twins' before you read this for any of this to make sense!

Notes:

Wowzers... it's been awhile since I posted something for this AU... BUT! I've come back for one reason, and one reason alone! This fic has been a little worm in the back of my head since I finished the original because /someone/ suggested it, but I never had the time to write it when the time was right. BUT IT'S CLOSE TO JULY AND NOW I HAVE THE TIME! So here ya go Nightmare! Your long awaited July 4th fic!

Chapter 1: The Plan

Chapter Text

July was swiftly approaching. A month full of activities apparently. Sunniva and Esmeray’s birthday shared the same date as Independence Day. July Fourth.

Now, normally the twins wouldn’t do anything, with them being swamped over with working three jobs and not having any friends that really cared, they really had no reason to. It’s not like they didn’t want to, they just didn’t. But now, with their found family at the Mega Pizzaplex living in Project Forever, they all wanted to celebrate. But Vanessa and Rosalie wanted it to be an even bigger celebration since it would be the first time that the animatronics would be able to see fireworks in real life.

Of course everyone had talked about the fireworks, but they had only mentioned small ones that could be set off on the sidewalk, sparkles that they could hold, and those pop-it fireworks that snapped when thrown at the ground.

No, Rosa, Vanessa, and Elaine were taking charge of this big event this time. But they had to call in an old friend to make sure it was okay to shoot the fireworks off in the area and not get in trouble or fined.

“Alright, Miss Elaine, Vanessa, Rosa, ya got me worried about hiding things from the girls, but what is it that you needed to ask?” Max asked as he sat down in Elaine’s office.

“Thank you for meeting with us, Officer Max. As you know, July Fourth is approaching, and we had some questions,” Elaine hummed as she crossed her hands over her desk.

“That’s the twin’s birthday. Does this have to do with them?” Max raised an eyebrow as he leaned back in his seat and looked between the three women.

“Yes and no,” Vanessa tilted her hand back and forth.

“We want to surprise them. Inviting you is one question,” Rosa piped up, raising one finger.

“But fireworks are another,” Elaine called attention back to herself, “I don’t know much about fireworks, but I know that there are certain places where they are and aren’t allowed.”

“So, you're throwing a birthday party for the girls, inviting me, and you’re wanting to have a firework show for it?” Max blinked a few times as they nodded. “Well, of course I’ll come, but for the show, you’ll have to get a permit.”

“Okay, do you know of anyone that can do the fireworks if we get the permit?” Elaine questioned as she looked towards her computer, “we’re closing before sunset, so we can set them off in the parking lot, out of view so none of the animatronics will see.”

“Yeah, I’ve got some lonesome pyros down at the station that I can ask,” he shrugged.

“We would be willing to pay them for their time,” Rosa smiled brightly as she held her hands together.

“Hop online and fill out for a permit, and I’ll let you all know about the guys,” Max chuckled as he stood up, “message me about when I should be here for the party.”

“Thank you again for coming to meet with us,” Elaine piped up before he could leave, “it means a lot.”

“I’d do anything for those girls. And helping the animatronics may as well be a bonus with all they’ve done for them,” he shrugged with a smile as he left.

After Max left, the three women spent the next three hours talking and planning out the party, then getting unnaturally excited when they were both approved for the permit and when Max called back and said that he found some guys who were willing to help with the fireworks.

Once separating, Rosa and Vanessa went back to their regular security positions, putting on their best neutral faces they could muster.

Only four days left.

~

That afternoon, after everyone had eaten dinner and went to bed for the night, Rosalie and Vanessa had snuck their way out of Project Forever and to the nearest twenty-four hour supermarket.

The two women spent almost five-hundred dollars on red, white, and blue birthday decorations. A combination of both the twins' birthday and Independence Day. Vanessa and Rosa were going to decorate their entire little neighborhood with streamers, balloons, lights, and almost everything else one could think of for a decoration.

Then it was on to fireworks. Since this was mainly for the animatronics, Elaine was the one to provide the budget. Said funds being from Fazbear Entertainment and not personal money.

Rosalie and Vanessa drove around for about an hour before they found a firework shop that was open late enough for them to buy. And buy they did. The two women made sure to spend the entirety of the budget they were given. Almost two grand worth of fireworks.

The two were trying to keep their sneaky giggles to a minimum as Vanessa carried all of the supplies into her house since Rosa had long since moved in with Montgomery. The poor gator just slept so heavy that he hadn’t even noticed that Rosa had left when she crawled back in bed after her late night outing with Vanessa.
