Luca gets crushes a bit to easily but never acts on them.
Well he acts on them but in a small habitual way not a proper confession or even mainline reaction type of way.
He acts on his crushes via mimicry, that thing people do when they spend the much time together. With Victor his mimicry made him more quiet almost like he was trying to become mute himself. Then the written notes in letter format purely to himself started to fill the workroom he was thankfully allotted to himself. Finally he started unintentionally matching the little hums to victors own thankfully much more under his breath than Victor does them.
With Andrew it was muttered blasphemies in the form of quiet statements not holding a single curse word but damnable in a church when heard all the same at inconveniences cropping up And developing interest in the language of flowers, not to mention his growing propensity to stay near darker areas. Less out of need and more of a odd subconscious comfort in staying near the area.
With Edgar it was the most obvious to luca and what brought awareness of these tendencies to him. He found himself oft doodling or feeling an odd sort of itch to try and paint. It actually escalated to the point he successfully made a decent looking painting that ended up being of his three crushes never to leave the workroom.
If only it was as solo of a space as he thought
Coming in from finding out his old mentor is both now a hunter and gunning for his misery had already left him drained and in a state of distressed shock but seeing his workroom ransacked and anything in their he's made completely destroyed had completely broken something in him.
Que Galatea coming in while Luca's silently balling his eyes out because she wanted to know why alva was over on the survivors side pre match only to see this fucked up level of destruction to a work area luca obviously felt extreme pride for and several pieces destroyed beyond repair making her see red at alva.
But Galatea is a smart girl and goes to comfort luca instead of trying to kill a fellow hunter. Step one being getting the sad inventor out of his destroyed workroom
So out with luca she goes taking him back to her workroom as the area would be a good enough option for a change of scenery that hopefully wouldn't stun him to bad.
After moving him and eventually easing him out of the despair he was in she decides to try teaching him something new and shows him how to sculpt with clay.
His mimicry kicks in as he begins to get a crush on Galatea
