Summary
“You’re Meen, right?” asks the boy, and Meen nods, the ability of talking lost the moment the other boy opened the gate.
“Pi’s in the bathroom, so he told me to get you” says the boy, before turning around and beginning to walk back to the house, and once he’s halfway there Meen realizes that he should probably follow him.
“I’m Duean, by the way, Pi’s brother” he says, while waiting for Meen to take off his shoes.
“I’m Meen” he says out of reflex, before he remembers that Duean called him by name earlier. Duean laughs a little “I know”
“Sorry”
“Don’t be sorry, it’s fine” says Duean, smiling at him.
Something is happening inside of Meen, and he doesn’t know what it is or why it’s happening.
