Chapter Text
“Attention everyone due to the recent events of the deaths of six of your classmates, we are reminding you of the in school counseling available throughout all school hours for those who need it. It is a sensitive time right now, so if you feel the need to be excused from class let your teacher know and head to hound-dogs office at room 360. That is all,” Nezu turns off the intercom, before heading back to his desk.
All might sat in silence towering over the principal sitting across from him, mindlessly picking at the bandages that covered his dominant hand, when the rodent across from him began to comfort the old man
“Their sacrifices were for the greater good, and they will be remembered as heroes.”

Midoriya ran. Something is chasing them, he doesn’t know what but the panic his friends are radiating causes him to follow them without question. “It’s not possible to outrun him, we need to hide in here!” Todoroki entered an abandoned shop, slamming the door shut after everyone came inside. Fog began to fill the room as Todoroki created a frozen barrier around the door.
“ That such a stupid idea, there is no fucking way that stupid ice will hold!” Bakugo yells
“No shit dumbass,” Uraraka muttered under her breath.
“It's just to give us some breathing room. We need more time to think and figure out what to do next,” Shinso suggested.
“Hey Midoriya, you good?”
Just as Kirishima asked his question, the sound of shattering ice and the door slamming open filled the room. All Midoriya could see through the slowly dissipating fog was the silhouette of a hulking figure looming in the doorway. Not wasting a moment Bakugo jumped into action flying across the room, “I fucking told you that the ice would be useless Icey-hot!” Bakugo’s yelling snapped Shinso and Todoroki into action, rushing in to attempt to restrain the villain so Bakugo can get in more hits. Kirishima and Uraraka grabbed Midoriya, pushing him forward, putting themselves between him and the ongoing fight to try to find an exit.
The sound of Gagging filled the room coming from across the battlefield, causing everyone to fall into silence looking at who was creating the sound. Bakugo was held up off the ground by his neck, trying to scratch off the flesh from his attacker’s hand, hoping to pry off the fingers restricting his airway. “You- you bastard!” The rasps coming from the angry child could be felt by everyone in the room. The hand that held him up began to tighten, more frantic scratches were made on the villain's arm until a sickening crack was heard and Bakugo’s body was dropped to the floor.
Kirishima froze, his scream pierced the air upon seeing his friend's limp corpse on the floor. At the same time Uraraka emptied her breakfast on the floor when the realization of what happened finally hit her, finally dragging both Midoriya and Kirishima away once she got ahold of herself. As Midoriya was being dragged away by his best friend he couldn’t help but let tears overflow from his eyes.
“Wait-” Shinso could barely get a word out before a massive hand was placed over his face. In one large swoop, his skull was crushed onto the concrete below him, head splitting open on impact. Shinso tried to cry out to his attacker but the blood from his skull was choking him out, and his voice ended up being forgotten by everyone in the room.
Todoroki sprang into action once the villain's murderous intention was directed towards him. Ice formed onto the walls and around the villain trying to trap him. All the while Todoroki blocks his friends from the fight with this same ice wall, hoping to prevent them from meeting the same fate as the two corpses fallen on the floor. Blue fire started to spark off his left side flowing to the attacker as a piece of ice pierced through the villain in front of him. Blood flowed down the attackers arm, the other singed with second degree burns. Ice slowly incased the villain, but blinded by rage Todoroki began to use even more of his fire against the attacker. However the blue fire would end up being the downfall to this child as it weakened the ice just enough for the villain to break out. Todoroki was flung across the room, dizzy he began to plead, “ we-we are just kids, don’t kill him th-there has to be another way.” He sat up on his knees forming a last ditch effort to stop his attacker. Through the use of surprise Todoroki would try to impale him, but the large icicle that was meant to skewer the villain was snapped off and stabbed through his lungs. Todoroki croaked as he choked on his own blood, the icicle was ripped out of his lungs as Todoroki used the last of his fire to try and melt the ice but the villain was too fast and ended up pushing it through his skull, finally killing him.
The echo of crunching ice reached the three kids and they began to panic more. Uraraka started to bounce options around in her head. Did she really want to die like this? In an abandoned building with unfinished business with her friends and family? Can she really stay for a pointless fight like this one?
“ We need to split up, we have a higher chance of making it past him if we cover more ground.”
Kirishima glares at Uraraka, able to see straight through her. Poor Midoriya however see’s no such betrayal and immediately agrees. “ That's not a bad idea! We could um, we have a higher chance of getting to a police station if we split up into teams, but after what has happened none of us should engage!”
“Heh, ya...” Uraraka gives a sad smile. “ how about I go out to the smaller wreckage over there, I can set up traps with my levitation? Can you guys go to the more open area to find a way to loop back? He might be less inclined to back-travel?”
Kirishima reluctantly agreed, giving a hug to Uraraka while whispering “I know why you wanted to really leave, while I'm not impressed that you are leaving this fight, as you promised you would stay in it, I- I understand, no one wants to face death.” Uraraka avoided eye contact while quickly rushing away from Kirishima before giving a loving embrace to Midoryia, stopping only after another shattering blow was heard from across the building.
Uraraka glanced back at the two figures running in the distance before she turned heel to find an escape. While she was running Uraraka created backup attacks, levitating as much lethal debris into the air as she could. With every step Uraraka made hope starts to dwindle out of her. She arranged the sharp metal pipes onto the ceiling ready to be dropped and pierce anyone below them, ropes lined along walls to be tangled in the attackers large limbs. Thundering steps began to grow ever closer, only for a looming shadow to appear across the narrow room. This shadow consumed the rest of the hope from the poor girl, and Uraraka ran. Ran away from the fight, from Midoriya and Kirishima, Uraraka would run as fast and as far as she needed to, to outrun death. While Uraraka kept running and unleashing her traps she began thinking of the life she should have lived.
The clash of the pipes to the concret brought up the love she never experienced. The ripping of ropes made her think of the vacation she never got to take her parents on. The sound of splintering wood reminded her how she failed Midoriya, running away to try to see tomorrow instead of helping him do the same. With each trap that got deflected or missed, death appeared to become a greater comfort for the poor girl. At least her parents will no longer have to pay for her, no longer have to worry for her, someone else can take her spot in the hero course. After all, if she can't help her friends, what kind of hero was she going to be anyway.
Her parents.
Tears fell uncontrollably as she grieved for them, and the fact that they will have to bury their only child. A large thump brought forth a hand placed onto her shoulder, making Uraraka freeze. “Please n-no, I just want to see my mom, m-my dad.” A final tear fell as another hand was brought to her cheek wiping the final tear away, and a sickening snap followed by a thud was heard all across the building.
The echoing crack was what caused Kirishima and Midoryia to stop, tears were pouring down their eyes once again. “Shit,” Kirishima muttered, grabbing Midoriya's wrist again to try to find anywhere small and deep enough to hide from the monster behind them. However as Deku was being dragged around by Kirishima, he couldn't help but create resistance in an attempt to go back to the girl he grew closer to over the year. Kirishima was frantic as he tried to explain, “We can't go back man, he wont stop till he kills you Midoriya, we have to hide.”
“What-what,” Midoriya's heart skipped a beat as realization finally hit him. His friends died because of him. It should have been him. He should have died. They should have been spared, but in the same thought Midoryia wondered about one for all, it would be lost forever. How could he betray All Might like that? How could he stop the legacy for fighting evil? This conflict caused them to freeze for just a moment. But that moment was enough to cause their demise.
A quick thud and the sharp crack of Kirishima activating hardening was what broke Midoriya out of his thoughts. The looming figure finally reached the both of them and started his onslaught of attacks. Midoryia knew that if it wasn't for Kirishima at his maximum hardness, they both would be dead. This safety was only for a moment as the barrage of attacks kept Kirishima from moving, he just stood there taking blow after blow. Each punch that landed was strong enough to kill nearly any pro hero in the top ten, and they kept coming, over and over again. Flakes of flesh started to go everywhere as Kirishima was locked into place as his skin started to shatter off. The muscle was soon to follow, with hardened blood shards falling to the ground, the crushing and crunching was all Midoriya could hear as he watched Kirishima's body turn from an unbreakable boulder to sand in the wind. Horror was etched into Midoriya's face as the body of his friend disappeared, finally revealing the face of the person who killed all the people he loved.
All might.
The person who gave him his quirk. The person who was a second father to him. The hero that gave him the extra push to become the best hero he could be! But it was that so-called symbol of peace that killed his friends in cold blood. That crushed the dreams of all five innocent children. It was the false hero in front of him that made Midoryia hesitate to help his friends before. Not anymore, as adrenaline and anger rushes through his mind no longer frozen in fear and confusion, betrayal and revenge flooded into his mind. ‘How could he, how could Allmight kill those he was supposed to help and mentor. Why did he choose to go after us? Why kill us so brutally? After all the lunches, the suppers with my mom, why now did he choose to kill me? After making me so attached to him? Was this his intention from the beginning? Did he hate me that much? What’s changed?’ The rush of thoughts became silent as Midoryia threw his first punch and made his final conclusion for the man in front of him.
All might is a deadman.
