Are you flirting with me?

Thalia wins a bet

Notes:

Day 11: seduction

Work Text:

Percy was very naive.

Thalia didn't want to admit it, but even she couldn't deny it now.

It was almost painful to see, in her opinion.

She and her cousin were both at a party on Olympus, where they shouldn't be, but aware that no god would object to their presence.

It was a feast of the younger gods, therefore without Kronos' six children, but only with their children.

Thalia and Percy, however, had been brought by Artemis who had only invited Percy to follow them.

Percy had accepted.

Thalia snorted as she saw another minor god trying to charm Percy.

The saddest thing was that Percy was rejecting them all, without even realizing what he was rejecting.

Eros had almost cried, Hebe had gone sad, Priapus had blushed, Zephirus had evaporated, Boreas had emitted a strange cry, between a moan and a gasp, before walking away in silence.

Thalia had looked at them with vague amusement at their misfortune.

After a few minutes, the god Thalia had been waiting for arrived.

When Percy hunted with them, something no one was supposed to accept but which was ignored as a Percy quirk, Apollo often joined in.

To show off to Percy.

The Hunters had a betting pool to decide when the two would get together.

Thalia had bet, of course, and she was sure of winning.

Percy talked to her before anyone else.

She had the advantage of knowing her cousin's thoughts.

In fact, if they had gotten together that day, it would have been perfect for Thalia.

"Hey, Apollo." Percy smiled and Thalia could swear the god had just melted.

"Perseus. Come with me, I have something to show you."

Thalia watched as the duo walked away, before hearing a voice behind her.

"I didn't think they invited demigods too."

Thalia turned, seeing her father, Hades and Poseidon before her.

"Father." Thalia bowed her head to her father, before also bowing to the two uncles and saying. "Divine Hades, Divine Poseidon."

"What are you doing here?" Hades asked and Thalia shrugged her shoulders. "Artemis brought Percy and me when he decided to join."

"Is my son here?" Poseidon asked and Thalia nodded.

"He and Apollo just drifted apart."

"Apollo?" Poseidon asked, his face darkening. "What does he want from my son?"

Thalia giggled. "Honestly, more than Percy understands."

Her cousin was really hopeless.

****

Apollo stopped showing a beautiful garden to Percy.

"Here, what do you think?"

Percy watched the sun go down as he painted the sky red, orange, purple and blue, reflecting off the garden.

"It's beautiful." Percy said, then hearing Apollo's soft comment. "It is."

He turned, to see the god staring at him intently.

Percy blushed. "If you say that again, I might think you're flirting with me."

"I've been doing this since we met, thanks for finally acknowledging it."

"What?" Percy asked and Apollo blushed.

Apollo blushed.

"You're everything I could ever want. I…I'm in love with you."

"In love with me?" Percy asked and Apollo nodded. "You are pure and passionate. I've never seen such a Greek hero, Percy. I…I'd like to live the rest of my life with you, if you'll let me."

"I... I don't know if I want immortality, Apollo." Percy replied, watching Apollo's face darken.

"But we can see where this takes us." Percy proposed.

Apollo smiled. "That's all I can ask for."

The two kissed.

****

Still with the Big Three, Thalia felt the phone vibrate.

Apollo kissed me. We're together. I'll tell you everything when we leave.

Thalia smiled, looking up at the other gods.

Artemis, Hermes, and Dionysus looked up.

"They kissed!"

"Finally!"

"He took his time."

Thalia felt the phone vibrate again.

Wait, he supposedly wanted to marry me right away, but I told him to wait at least a month, dam.

"Apparently they're getting married in a month." Thalia screamed again.

Poseidon, who had been wearing a murderous expression until then, relaxed.

"Did Percy agree to marry Apollo?"

Thalia nodded.

The phone vibrated again.

Don't tell anyone until I say you can. And above all, don't tell dad!

Thalia grimaced.

Oops.
