Chapter Text
Vance Hopper, Shadysides (or shittyside is how most people call it) "bad boy" is running through the woods, knowing damn well there's no where to hide. He soon feels a sharp pain in his nose as blood starts running out of it. Vance opens his eyes and blinks a few times, he stared at the sky before moose and his friends appears in his sight.
Vance groans and glared at him. " Your gonna hang witch." Moose says blanky before him and his friends grab Vance and bring him towards a tree. Their all chanting.
"Before the witches final breath, she found a way to cheat her death. By cutting off her wicked hand, she kept her grip upon our land! She reaches from beyond the grave, to make good men her evil slaves. She'll take your blood, take your head, she'll follow you until you're dead.
Vance is pushed to the ground with rope tied to his wrists. "String him up!" Moose yells. Vance is held off the ground, his arms in the air. "Let me down you assholes! Let me down!" Vance yells glaring and breathing heavily at moose and his friends.
Moose walked over to him and grabs the 10 dollars out of Vance's shorts pocket. " Well what do we have here?" "Goddamn thief!" One of mooses friends hisses.
"No, no he's no theif. He's possessed by the witch." Moose says. "It's the only way to explain his psycho behavior."
"Fuck you!" Vance's hits moose in the nose with his free elbows.
He's breathing heavily "guess we're even now." Vance had a small smirk as moose touches his nose, which is bleeding.
"You do know what they did to Sarah fier. They hanged her." Moose got a bit closer to vance "from this very tree" he looked up smiling "she would of died forever if you do what you always do to witches." Moose circled around Vance "you burn them"
Moose took out his lighter "hold his legs!" Moose's friends hesitated but then walked up to Vance "no, no no stop it! Stop!" Vance tried to kick them but his legs were held down tightly
"Shut up witch!" Moose mutters and hold the lit lighter up to Vances arm "don't!" Vance says before his skin starts burning. He screams in pain as a whistle is blown. Moose and his friends all panic and look to where the whistle came from.
Bruce comes running over "hey! Let him down!" Vance is soon dropped to the ground as Bruce runs over to him.
Bruce and some other counselor questioned Vance and mooses friends about the money. Vance is almost kicked out of the camp, but Bruce stops it and talks to the other counselors.
Vance just walks away from the scene. He follows the path back to camp, and into the nurse. On his way he sees the camp getting ready for color wars. A game Shadysides and sunnyvile play every year. A blue shirt that reads "Color 78 war" is thrown at him. Vance groans and throws it on the ground and continued walking.
Vance hated this camp, he hated this town. He was a troublemaker. He once set the camp flag on fire, let out the camps rabbits, and one he loved doing, graffiting the outhouse stalls. Those were many reasons why he'd get kicked out. But Bruce, Bruce Yamada one of the camps counselors stopped it from happening. But why? Why wouldn't he want Vance Hopper to leave this shitty camp?.
