Work Text:
Hayase Yuuka was in a very good mood. As another busy day at Millennium Science School came to an end, the young maiden found herself smiling at her phone. She was letting out almost uncharacteristic hums. Her colleague, Noa, looked at the girl with her patented smile, like a mother watching over her own child.
"Good work, Yuuka-chan," she called out to the twin-tailed heroine, "I'll see you tomorrow."
"Mhmm," Yuuka replied half-attentively, "See you tomorrow, Noa."
"Have fun on your date," the white-haired girl teased.
"Yeah," Yuuka mumbles. Realising a moment too late what Noa had said, she turns around, only to find Seminar's secretary had already left.
"Geez, that Noa..." Yuuka grumbled, before immediately returning to her phone and staring at her MomoTalk messages that was opened to her conversation with Sensei.
"What do you mean by date, Noa, geez..." she grumbled again to the girl that was no longer there.
Once she had packed her possessions, Seminar's diligent treasurer closed up the office and headed outside the building. As she stepped out the automatic glass doors, she encountered a young man.
"Hey there, Yuuka," he called out to her, "Are you done with your work?"
"S-Sensei?!" Yuuka cried out in surprise, "How long have you been waiting?"
"I just got here," he answered.
"I-Is that so?" Yuuka looked down and noticed a can of coffee at Sensei's feet. Noticing that it's no longer letting out steam, she questioned Sensei again.
"How long have you really been waiting here?"
Having realised the can at his feet was a dead giveaway, Sensei tried to muster up another excuse.
"I-I bought this from a convenience store along the way."
"Is that so?"
Deciding not to question the clearly flustered adult in front of her, she refrained from bringing up the fact that the can's exterior clearly hinted at it being a Millennium product and not something he could purchase from a convenience store. The two begin walking outside the school's perimeter. Sensei would bring up a conversational topic, while Yuuka replied with a smile. The process repeated itself with Yuuka changing her expression with every given prompt while Sensei followed suit, often playing up his reactions. Though she outwardly expressed annoyance at his antics, to the girl who felt like she was on top of the world, her heart only had one thing in mind.
"I really do love Sensei."
