Metamorphosis

Summary:

Izuku' had always been treated as lesser, as subhuman. Then, one fateful day, he is bonded to a parasitic creature, and is forced into a battle between species, he will have to either adapt. Or die. Migi sincerely hoped it was the former.

Notes:

So. A MHA and Parasyte crossover fic. Strange right? Yeah, I should think so considering a grand total of three other people have written this on this site alone. Well, I love the hell out of Parasyte, and i feel like there's a lot of potential in MHA, and the two definitely feel like a natural crossover. I will likely have to rewatch the seasons of the show that I have watched, the first four I think, and I'll have to finish it. But it's no secret that I generally prefer MHA fanfictions compared to the actual show itself. Yeah I'm annoying like that. Anyways, I probably won't finish this anyway, I just hope I inspire some people to put out more similar works. Anyways, enjoy!

Chapter Text

Izuku Midoriya had always wished for a quirk, even before he found out he was quirkless, it was probably one of his earliest memories and conscious thoughts. As such, his discovery of his total and utter normality, almost broke him. No more would he be able to become like his role-model All Might, no more would he be treated like a decent human being, because now he wasn’t human, after all, he was quirkless. He was less than human.
This was made very clear to him throughout his meaningless life, no matter how high his grades in school, or how detailed his hero analyses. He would always be lesser, inferior. Kaachan had made sure of that, and in fact, so had all the staff members at Aldera, and all his peers too. He could no longer interact with anyone without getting looked down on, or beaten to a pulp. The most benevolent social encounter he could have, would be to be completely ignored.
This was his life. The only ray of hope, of light, in his miserable existence, was his mother, the only one who ever treated him with any sort of decency. She loved him, she took care of him, she made him his favourite dish, she made life worth living.
Of course, he had other ways of coping through his hellish existence, namely, heroes. He would constantly gush and fanboy on almost every hero he saw, to the point were he started analysing them, to such an extent, that had any professional looked at his work, they would quit their job, having been outclassed, but he himself merely thought of it as... passable.
He would stick to a daily routine, of wake up, go to school, be abused, get beaten up on the way back, analyse any hero fights he found, and then go to sleep, rinse and repeat. That is until... They came.
He had fallen asleep listening to one of Present Mic’s podcasts he had to record, as he didn’t get to listen to it live. As such he also forgot the window slightly open, this small decision would change his entire life.
Just outside his window, an egg containing earth’s second greatest predator gently landed on his window sill, and as it hatched, his future crawled out.
The entity crawled(?) It’s way into the house through the window, at the moment it’s greatest conscious thought being, find host.
It attempted to enter Izuku’ by going through the ear canal, however his earphones blocked it, so its second best option was the nasal cavity. This too, ultimately failed. The sensation of the creature slithering its way up his nose had triggered him to sneeze, resulting in the organism being launched onto his bed.
“ah a snake!!!” Izuku screamed, his gaze snapping towards the green slimy creature that had just attempted going up his nose. He got up and managed to find an old newspaper to roll up, so he could whack the thing that just attempted to enter his body.
He looked around for it, but it was gone, had he been dreaming? Nope! The thing launched itself at him from his desk, too fast for him to properly react and whack it out of the air. He saw it drill into his arm!
He could see it, glowing, as it slowly crept its way up his arm. Fear shot into his heart, and he grabbed his earphones before tying them tightly around his arm, attempting to cut circulation.
Naturally, this struggle did not go unnoticed.
“Izuku honey, are you alright? What’s going on!?” his mother burst into his room after hearing his screams, and attempted to console him, as he continued his struggle, his arm turning red.
Suddenly, he snapped to attention and let the earphones go, attempting to explain his situation
“ there’s a snake! It made its way into my arm, look! There’s even a hole!” he pointed his left hand towards his aggressors entrance, only for his arm to be completely normal.
“Huh, but, it was there!”
His mother sighed before turning to him, her voice seemingly tired and exasperated .
“honey, maybe it was a nightmare? You’ll be fine, it’s nothing I’m sure. Now, why don’t you go back to sleep? You have school tomorrow.”
Right school, Izuku was so excited for school. Yup. He sighed, before conceding with his mother. Maybe he really was asleep, and he just hadn’t noticed? It did seem surreal now that he thought about it. It didn’t even look all that much like a snake anyway.
“All right mum, I’ll go to sleep, hopefully I don’t wake up with yet another snake!” he said jokingly. His mother merely smiled a warm smile before going back to her bed.
He himself placed himself back in bed before closing his eyes. He couldn’t even hope to imagine how significant this little event was. The numbness in his arm however, could.
‘too bad, I didn’t get the brain.’
