When Weiss made her channel, she didn't expect it to go anywhere. It was nothing more than a protest against her father. A video tour of the illustrious Schnee Manor.
However, Weiss found that she had a certain charisma that people responded to. Soon lots of people wanted more.
And so more she made. She only had her phone, but she learned that people actually liked the homemade feeling it gave her videos. At first, it was just simple vlogs about her life in the Manor. But then she was taken on a business trip with her father. So, she made a vlog about her trip.
And just like that, she was blowing up. She went from a couple of hundred subscribers to over 500k. She was actually a bit overwhelmed by the sudden surge in attention but after receiving a pep talk from her sister she fully threw herself into her channel.
Now 2 years later, Myrtenaster was one of the top ten vlogging channels beloved by millions. Weiss was traveling abroad per popular demand. Weiss then began to collaborate with other content creators.
This led to her meeting one Coco Adel of Adel Fashion. Coco then introduced Weiss to a rather unique establishment.
“Maid Cafe? I am not sure I understand the appeal.” Weiss said sipping her lemonade. Coco had taken her out for lunch to talk to her about this maid cafe.
“It's simple really, it was meant for pervs that wanted to indulge their fantasies. Eventually, people realized having a cute girl serve you a fresh coffee was nice.” Coco explained with a shrug.
“Not sure nice is the word I’d use,” Weiss said looking at the photos Coco had sent her. Coco had collaborated with this particular cafe, helping design their maid attire.
“I know, why not go yourself with no camera? If you like it, you come back and make a video, if not you walk away without having wasted your time.” Coco suggested, Weiss thought it was a smart idea. She did like coffee after all.
“What's the place called again?” Weiss inquired, Coco smiled and pulled out her phone.
“Called Beacon Brew's, I'll send you the address,” Coco replied texting Weiss the deets. The two finished their lunch and went their separate ways. Weiss now had a plan of action; she was looking forward to what could be another banger of a video.

Ruby was having a great day! Really, she was just over the moon. Her friends were free to game later, she had found a dollar on the floor, and her favorite YouTuber uploaded a new video. Honestly saying favorite was an understatement. Ruby was a total fangirl of Myrtenaster.
Her sister often teased her saying Ruby had a celebrity crush on the YouTuber. Ruby would deny this of course but really it wasn't far from the truth. Ruby found herself looking forward to every Monday when Ice Queen uploaded. Ruby would love to watch the video right now, but she was on the clock.
“Hey Ruby we got a customer,” Penny said snapping Ruby out of her revelry. Quickly hopping up she dusted off her skirt and fixed her bow. Ruby looked at herself in the mirror making sure her maid outfit was in pristine condition. Pleased with her attire Ruby went out and felt her heart stop.
Sitting at one of the tables was Weiss Schnee, the woman behind Myrtenaster. Ruby panicked and cheered at the same time. On one hand, this was a chance to meet her idol. On the other hand, she was nowhere near ready for something like this.
“Uh, Ruby are you alright?” Penny asked noticing how Ruby had frozen. Ruby looked at Penny with a face that somehow portrayed excitement and existential dread.
“Penny that's Weiss. Like that Weiss. What do I do?” Ruby asked shaking Penny. Penny tried to calm her friend but to no avail. Not sure what else to do Penny slapped Ruby. That did the trick as Ruby calmed down long enough for Penny to speak.
“If you're so worried, I could just serve her instead.” Penny offered as Ruby shot her a look of pure and utter betrayal.
“Nope, no way, nun un, not happening,” Ruby said refusing to even entertain the idea of not meeting her idol while she had the chance.
“Then you better get going. Don't worry so much she is just another person like you or me.” Penny said trying to comfort her friend. Ruby nodded and grabbed a menu preparing to face her idol.
“H-Hello welcome to Beacon B-brews what can get you,” Ruby said cursing herself internally for how she botched that. Weiss was silent for a moment, before replying.
“Hi, can I get... A latte please.” Weiss said, Ruby nodded and quickly wrote it down.
“Alrighty I'll b-bring it right out,” Ruby said giving Weiss a curtsy that left her blushing. Ruby walked off trying to not freak out. She had just stumbled and stuttered her way through her first interaction with Weiss! Honestly, why couldn't some lightning bolt strike her and spare her the embarrassment?
Weiss seemed so cool as well! She was so calm and collected like nothing could faze her. Ruby wished she could be that confident. She'd bet Weiss has never panicked that hard before.

Weiss was in the middle of her worst gay panic yet. Weiss knew that the maids would be cute. It was the entire selling point after all. But she wasn't prepared for her server to be this adorable. Weiss damn near squealed at the way she stammered out her greeting.
‘I see the appeal now.’ Weiss thought as she smiled at the waiter. Weiss realized she had been silent this entire time and tried to think of an order before it got awkward.
“Hi, can I get... A latte please.” Weiss said, trying to maintain her composure. She wasn't sure if the girl's nervousness was genuine or a part of the experience, but it was adorable either way.
“Alrighty I'll b-bring it right out,” Ruby said giving Weiss a curtsy.” It took every last bit of willpower Weiss had not to swoon. Weiss was not ready for the cuteness bombardment. Even if the video didn't pan out, she was 100% percent coming back for herself.
The girl soon returned with a latte, a pitcher of cream, and a hand-held frother. She sat the cup down in front of Weiss and began pouring the cream. Once she was done, she began frothing the coffee. For how nervous she was earlier she seemed to know what she was doing.
‘I guess she has a lot of experience.’ Weiss thought to herself as the server presented her with the cup.
“Will that be all Myrtenaster?” the server asked before slapping a hand on her mouth. It was for naught as Weiss went bugged-eyed for a moment before laughing.
“Yes, I take it you're a fan?” Weiss asked trying to play off her own embarrassment. She was still getting used to the whole ‘being recognized by fans’ thing. Not to say it wasn't welcome. At least she now knew why the girl was so nervous.
“Uhh, yeah. I'm a huge fan.” the server explained rubbing the back of her head. Weiss smiled and took a sip of her coffee.
“Wow! it's really good.” Weiss complemented taking a bigger sip. It was nice and warm but not burning hot. Weiss was about to take another sip when her server tapped her shoulder.
“Umm, so you totally don't have to. But I was wondering if you'd take a picture with me. Imeanyoureallydon’thavetoifyoudon’t-” Weiss cut off her rambling by raising a finger.
“I'd love to, what's your name?” Weiss asked getting up. The server smiled and pulled out her phone.
“Ruby, Ruby Rose,” Ruby said handing Weiss her phone. Weiss took the phone and stood next to Ruby.
“Well then Ruby, say cheese!” Weiss cheered grabbing Ruby and pulling her into a hug. Snapping several photos Weiss broke the hug and handed Ruby her phone.
“Thank you so much! I can't wait to tell my sister!” Ruby yelled bouncing up and down. Weiss chuckled as the girl practically burst with excitement.
“Of course, I love meeting fans,” Weiss said finally relaxing a bit.
“I was wondering, why did you come to this cafe in particular,” Ruby asked, this wasn't exactly the kind of place Weiss was known to visit.
“A friend of mine recommend it. Honestly seeing how cute you are I understand why.” Weiss said without thinking. She tried to play it off even as she screamed internally. Did she really just say that?
“You think I'm cute?” Ruby asked with a very noticeable blush. Weiss could only nod as she bowed her head in shame. Ruby remained silent for a moment before suddenly jumping with a 10,000-watt smile.
“Oh my god! I have to tell Penny!” Ruby cheered before trying to run off. Weiss quickly grabbed Ruby by the arm stopping her.
“Wait a minute you dolt!” Weiss whisper yelled, Ruby stopped and gave her a sheepish smile. Weiss took a second to calm herself.
“Sorry, I got a bit excited. But I mean my favorite called me cute can you blame me?”Ruby asked fiddling with her skirt.
“No, I suppose I can't,” Weiss said sitting back down. She was confident she would be coming back here to make that video. She was normally pretty discreet when she made her videos. She didn't want to be a nuisance to people passing by. But seeing how excitable Ruby gave her an idea.
“Would you like to be in my next video?” Weiss asked causally causing Ruby to do a double take.
“Huh?” Ruby asked giving Weiss a bewildered expression. Weiss didn't let her own excitement show as she stood up.
“Do you want to be in my next video? Your super cute in that maid outfit. I'm sure you'd be super popular.” Weiss reiterated pretending to size up Ruby. Ruby just stared at her with wide eyes. Eventually, her overwhelmed mind gave up, and she promptly hit the floor.

“Annnnd that's how we met,” Weiss said finishing her story. She loved retelling that story and their fans seemed to eat it up. Ruby sat next to Weiss blushing as she double-checked the stream. After that fateful meeting, Ruby ended up showing up in several of Weiss's videos.
After a while, Ruby wanted to start her own streaming channel. And Weiss, a kind friend (and soon-to-be girlfriend) she was helped her. Ruby's gaming streams soon took off, and people quickly became very familiar with Crescent Rose.
People noticed how close Weiss and Ruby were and began asking questions. This led to Ruby and Weiss moving in together and officially becoming a couple. If they were stars before they became galaxies after that.
“Of course, Weiss would occasionally hop on to Ruby's stream to chat and tell stories much to Ruby's embarrassment.
“Did you have to bring up the passing out?” Ruby asked trying to seem upset. Weiss just chuckled and kissed Ruby melting her non-existent anger.
“It's not my fault you have such adorable reactions,” Weiss said getting an arm punch from Ruby.
“I'm sure I was worried when you passed out but getting to carry bridal style Maid my day,” Weiss said to the boos of Ruby and the cheers of their fans.
