Work Text:
The first time Katsuki saw him, he was drawing under the shadow of an oak tree.
"What are you doin'?" little Katsuki asked the other child, who gasped in surprise.
"I'm drawin'! Look, it's mommy, daddy and me!" The green-haired boy, who seemed the same age as him, said with a big smile that lacked one tooth.
"Bleh! That's boring!" Katsuki replied, crossing his arms.
The emerald eyes from the small stranger glistened with tears, and Katsuki didn't like that somehow, even if his eyes looked prettier with that shine.
"B-But this always makes m-mommy a-and daddy happy," he cried.
"None of that! Let's draw something better!" The blond proposed.
"B-Better?" The other questioned him, hopeful.
"Yes! Gimme paper, and crayons! Red and blue and yellow!" Katsuki demanded, extending his chubby hand towards the child.
"W-What are you goin' to draw?" The greenette wondered, rubbing his eyes.
"Imma' show you the bestest hero ever! All Might! He can defeat all the villains and save everyone!" Katsuki boasted.
"Really?!" Izuku's semblant lit up like a Christmas tree.
"Yes! I don't lie! Ma says that lies are not good!" Katsuki countered.
The blond started to draw the hero from his memory, and ended up showing off to the other kid his "masterpiece".
"Look, this is All Might!" He announced proudly.
Instead of focusing on the hero drawing, the greenette read the blond's signature on the lower right corner, but failed to pronounce his name.
"Kat-Katchuki?" He tried.
"No, stupid!" The blond chastised him.
"That's a no-no word, Kats—Katch—Kacchan!" The freckled boy countered.
"Kacchan!" He repeated again, completely forgetting about the renowned All Might.
"Hah! You gonna call me that? Not fair! What's your name?" Katsuki interrogated him.
"I'm Izuku!" He smiled brightly.
"T-Then you are Deku!!!" Katsuki exclaimed with a full blush on his cheeks.
"Deku?" Izuku asked him, tilting his head in confusion, just like his puppy Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight. Katsuki's hands itched to touch his fluffy viridian curls.
"Yes, cause you can't draw anything interesting!" The blond declared.
Izuku pouted, but ignored the statement, already thinking of something more important.
"Kacchan, do you think All Might can give me a friend?" Izuku questioned him with hope in his jade orbs.
"Duh!!! All Might can do anything!!!" Katsuki expressed brazenly. And then it hit him.
"HAHH? A FRIEND? WHY WOULD YOU WANT ONE?" The blond gremlin screamed, not understanding why Deku getting a friend upsets him this much.
"Because I don't have any! There aren't any kids in our neigh-neighb—..."
"Neighborhood! Dumb Deku! Anyone can spell words like that!" Katsuki chided.
"Kacchan, meanie!" Izuku stuck out his tongue.
"M' not!!! And… you don't need All Might to save your sorry ass. He's too busy for that, so I'll help you. I'll give you the honor of becoming my friend," Katsuki exclaimed.
Izuku's pupils dilated.
"ARE YOU FOR REAL, KACCHAN?!" He couldn't believe this.
"Obviously! I'm the best. No extra can compare to me, Deku!" Katsuki expressed.
"Thank you, Kacchan," Deku hugged him tightly even if Katsuki complained.
"Yuuuuck! G-Get away from me!!!" Kacchan demanded, pushing him off. He was startled because his heart was beating really fast. God, is he going to die?
"Ne, do you have a lot of friends?" Izuku wondered.
"I do! Lots and lots!!!", the little blond boasted, waving his arms in the air. If he was Pinocchio his nose would have grown quite large.
Izuku's jade orbs shimmered with admiration.
Two lonely souls connected by an unbreakable invisible red bond had found each other that day.

"Why are your cheeks stained with mud, Deku?" Katsuki straddled the other boy who was laying on the grass. He squished Izuku's cheeks and rubbed them with his hands on repeated occasions, trying to take the "dirt" away.
"K-Kacchaaaan! Staaahp!!!" Deku attempted to brush him off to no avail.
"They won't go away!!!" Katsuki narrowed his carmine eyes.
"Cause they are freckles!!!" Izuku shouted.
"Freckles?" Katsuki blinked and finally released his friend.
"Yup! Mommy says that they are stars that fell from the night sky and now live in my cheeks!" Izuku stated.
"HAH?! THEN DO THEY SHINE AT NIGHT?" Katsuki interrogated him. He had never heard of anything like that.
"Uhmm… no, I don't think so…" Deku replied.
"LAME!!!" Kacchan yelled and bit one of Izuku's freckled cheeks.
"Naaaaur!!!" Deku protested.
💫💫💫
.
.
.
"Kacchan, I found an All Might card in my cereal! I wish I could give it to you!!!" Deku whimpered.
"D-Don't cry, you dummy! I already have one!!!" Katsuki reassured him, wiping his tears roughly with the sleeve of his hoodie.
"B-But Kacchan…" Izuku whined.
"Nothing, Deku!!! I-I'm bored, so let's play heroes together!" Katsuki told him, tugging at his bright yellow T-shirt that contrasted a lot with his black one that had an animated skull imprinted on it.
"Alrighty!!!" Deku chirped in happiness.
That expression shouldn't have blinded the blond.
"B-But you are going to be my sidekick!!!" Katsuki expressed nervously.
"Yes, Kacchan!!!" Deku agreed, nonetheless.
💫💫💫
.
.
.
"Here," Katsuki shoved something into his chest aggressively without even looking at him.
"Huh? Why are you giving me a lollipop ring, Kacchan? Can I eat it?" Deku questioned him, already wishing he could taste the red strawberry gem.
"No, idiot Deku! It's a promise!" Katsuki answered all flustered. He had seen on TV that being married meant that he and Deku would be together for life. Just like his Pa and Ma.
"A promise?" Deku didn't understand.
"Yes, stupid!!! Cause you will be my husband in the future!!!" The little blond explained in exasperation.
Izuku gasped.
"Can I really be your husband, Kacchan?"
"Yes! I'm the only one who can take care of you, after all, dumb Deku," Katsuki expressed only to be surprised by loud sobs. "WHY ARE YOU CRYING???!!"
"C-Cause I'm so h-happy! Kacchan w-will be my wife!!!" Deku sniffs.
"W-WIFE!!??? THAT'S NOT—, UGH, WHATEVER!!!" The blond child stopped arguing. "C'mon, let's catch some fireflies!" He proposed, holding Deku's hand that had already the sweet red ring on the greenette's finger.
"W-Wait Kacchan!!!" Izuku let go of his hand briefly, kept his mind concentrated and put together all the energy he could to create a similar ring. The difference was that this one had a green color on it. It was apple flavored too!!!
"H-Here, for you!!!" He held Kacchan's left hand and slid the new candy ring into his finger. "N-Now we match!!!"
Katsuki's rubies shined. He wouldn't say it out loud, but an incredible joy had invaded him that day.

"Masaru… I'm worried about Katsuki. I think he has an imaginary friend," Mitsuki whispered against her husband's chest one night before they fell asleep.
"Didn't all of us have one?" The brunette kissed her temple.
"Yeah but… I think this is something more. He just… won't stop talking about him, this 'Deku'. He's very present in his daily life… it's as if he was real. Last time he asked me to teach him how to prepare katsudon so he could give it to him as a gift, cause 'dumb Deku doesn't know how to cook' and his parents are occupied all the time. Do you think we should take him to therapy or…?" Mitsuki didn't know what to do.
"Hmm… I've heard him talk about him too. Our Katsuki seems very fond of that boy. I have never seen him like that towards anyone else. What if that 'imaginary friend' is his soulmate?" Masaru wondered .
"What?" Mitsuki blinked.
"Yeah, love. His soulmate. You know soulmates can manifest in many different ways. Just like how my parents couldn't listen to anything at all before their paths crossed, or how you and I couldn't see any color before we met. The statistics of cases like those are low, and yet, here we are," Masaru explained, observing his wife with inextinguishable love and devotion.
Mitsuki sighed and smiled gently before nuzzling into the crook of his neck.
"You are right. There are infinite different possibilities of finding your soulmate and that's most likely one, even if I've never heard about it before," she yawned.
"I don't think we should interfere. At least, not yet," Masaru said, and Mitsuki agreed. They will let their firecracker figure this out on his own in the meantime.

Kacchan and Deku's days were filled with impressive adventures. Jumping between stones in a river of lava, exploring the wild jungle and learning about its creatures, flying through the clouds that tasted like cotton candy, or swimming in the deep sea with beautiful and colorful fish.
When they least thought about it, years had passed. Both kids had grown up together and became inseparable. They always looked forward to seeing each other every day.
💫💫💫
"Hey Deku… have you… have you kissed someone before???" Kacchan asked him while resting his head over Izuku's lap. He loved when the other boy cradled his fingers all over his blond spikes.
"W-What? K-Kiss?" Deku's cheeks reddened and Katsuki truly wondered if that meant that someone else had become Izuku's first kiss already. His guts churned as jealousy reared its ugly head out.
Katsuki sat down and held Izuku's cheeks.
"Yes! A fucking kiss! Have you?" Katsuki glared at him menacingly.
Deku wasn't meeting his gaze and that frustrated him even more.
"I… N-No, Kacchan. K-Kisses are m-meant to be for the one you love," Izuku told him. "Uhm… have you… have you kissed someone befo—mmmph!!!"
He didn't get to finish that sentence because Kacchan was kissing him.
KACCHAN WAS KISSING HIM.
His lips were soft and warm. Izuku thought that his heart was going to burst out from his chest.
"I just did," Kacchan sighed in contentment. It seems he wasn't satisfied though, because he straddled Izuku's thighs and pulled him close by his neck to kiss him all over again. Some of the daisies that Izuku had arranged on his hair fell down into the grass.
The greenette felt like floating.
He answered back eagerly and basked in Katsuki's presence.
"Don't you dare do this with someone else, dumbass! Just me, okay?" Kacchan threatened him. His cheeks had a cute rosy tint.
"O-Okay, b-but that also applies to you, Kacchan!!!" Deku embraced him and nuzzled into the crook of his neck.
"Hmph! Of course. I only settle for the best. And I always keep my promises," Katsuki swore, with his heart beating as fast as ever.
Even if that day it wasn't expressed with words, both knew that their kisses had sealed a silent first love confession.
💫💫💫
.
.
.
Katsuki suddenly woke up from his dream.
It took him a few seconds to register that he was back to real life.
He sat down on his bed and touched his lips gently.
The vivid memory makes him blush.
He grabbed his pillow and screamed into it.
God.
He kissed Izuku.
He kissed him and Izuku answered back!
Fuck.
This is so disgusting. He feels so giddy, so happy, so excited, so in love... It's insane how someone can turn you into a mess like this.
Katsuki wished he could see Deku in real life. He wants to interlace their hands together, to hold him, to kiss him, to be his in every fucking possible way, all that mushy shit that comes with being boyfriends and even much more! They are engaged already! Have always been, Deku better not forget that.
If only meeting could be easy. The thing is, that for some weird reason, whenever both are in that realm of dreams, none of them can remember where they come from.
That’s why whenever Katsuki dreams with Izuku, he does his best to treasure those moments and relish in the privilege of being with him, even if sometimes it means hearing ramblings and muttering to no end.
There was no doubt that Deku is his soulmate. Katsuki was pretty intelligent to realize that as he grew up, and Deku did too.
A few months ago, Katsuki gathered the confidence to tell his parents about it. Imagine his surprise when they told him that they already knew. They were very understanding and even promised to help him in any way they could to find Deku.
💫
.
.
.
They tried.
They really did.
Turns out that, according to Dr. Garaki, there has never been a documented case of someone meeting their soulmate through dreams.
Katsuki and Izuku might be the firsts to experience that.
And because of that, their story wasn't so 'believable'.
'It could be a mental condition'.
'Mental condition my ass,' Katsuki had barked at him.
It doesn't matter if a famous specialist like Baldly doesn't believe in them.
Katsuki wouldn't give up on Deku, ever.
💫
.
.
.
The last rays of sunset illuminated their path, and Izuku's emerald eyes shone brighter than ever, revealing golden and bluish specks all over his mostly green irises. They were beautiful and hypnotizing.
Katsuki hugged him tighter and buried his head in his hair, inhaling the pleasant scent of his fruity shampoo. He peppered kisses all over Izuku's jaw and neck right after.
“Kacchan, that tickles”, Deku chuckled as he kept walking while the blond was piggyback riding him.
"Don't care," Katsuki replied and bit lightly on his right cheek. "Give me a kiss," Kacchan demanded.
Izuku smiled mischievously and kept looking forward.
"Deku. Give me my fucking kiss," Kacchan pressed in a deeper tone.
Izuku laughed. Kacchan was so cute like this even if he tried to act all tough.
"Don't laugh you idio—mmh~," he was quickly shut up by Deku's smart mouth.
"That's what I was talking about," Katsuki hummed, pleased.
He was truly blessed.
💫💫💫
.
.
.
They were eighteen when it happened.
Katsuki should have known. He should have seen it coming from the weird way in which Deku was behaving.
But he didn't. Not until it was too late, and he blames himself even to this day.
"Kacchan, can you hug me?" Izuku said, barely audible. He was resting under the same oak tree where they had found each other first as little kids.
Katsuki snickered from his spot a few meters away.
"Why are you getting so sentimental now, nerd?" Katsuki teased him from where he was, but got worried immediately when Izuku didn't answer.
It was then that he noticed that his boyfriend was panting heavily, as if he was in pain.
He ran towards him immediately, kneeled and held him in his arms.
"Deku, Deku, what's happening?" Katsuki interrogated him, brushing away his wild curls from his sweaty forehead. He was burning.
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
This had never occurred before.
"It hurts," he whispered. "It hurts, Kacchan."
Those words stabbed him on his chest.
"Where, baby? Where does it hurt?" Katsuki asked him in desperation. He kissed his temple, trying his best to soothe him.
Deku grasped his hand with his own and placed it over his heart.
"H-Here," Izuku mumbled faintly.
Katsuki felt his own heart drop.
Is something happening to Deku in real life?
"Kacchan, I feel very weak… I want to sleep," Izuku uttered with blurry eyes.
"Don't!!! Deku!!! Stay awake, please!!! Shit!!! Deku!!!" Katsuki insisted, already feeling a rare sting on his red orbs. His intuition was screaming at him that if Deku closed his eyes, then this was going to be their goodbye.
Izuku started to cry.
"I think we won't be able to see each other here anymore, Kacchan," Deku sobbed.
No.
No, fuck, no.
This can't be happening.
"That's nonsense!!! We've been together since we were brats!!! We are soulmates, this shit can't disappear just like this!!!" Katsuki tried to remain with a logic mind, tried to convince himself that losing Izuku wasn't possible even if his sixth sense was telling him otherwise.
"Kacchan. I love you. I love you so much, I always have," Deku confessed in near delirium with tears streaming down his face.
"Sh-Shut up! You can't go like this! We still have a lot to do!" Katsuki cried. "W-Where are you from? What's your contact number? Your social media? Deku, please, you have to try more and remember, I n-need to find you!!!" He knew very well that it would be impossible for either of them to remember, they had attempted countless times, but in that very moment, the blond could only beg his soulmate. He wished he could dig into Izuku's mind and get that information from him.
He didn't get any answer, though.
Izuku was unconscious now.
"Deku!!! Deku!!! De—Izuku!!!!" He shook him in vain.
Katsuki was so enthralled in trying to wake Deku up that he didn't perceive a tall man with a red cape and barbarian clothes behind him, nor the dark viridian tendrils that were tangling on his waist.
It all happened too fast.
Izuku was in his arms.
And then he wasn't.
Someone else was holding him.
Someone that had the same face as Katsuki's.
"What the fuck?!!! Give him back!!!" He screamed to the top of his lungs, ready to lunge forward, only to fall into the grass with a loud thud.
He realized that something was restraining him while that other version of himself kept advancing while carrying a sleeping Deku, without looking back.
"IZUKU!!! IZUKU!!! IZUKU!!!" Katsuki shrieked in tears.
He had never felt so powerless before.
It's then that he sees another version of his boyfriend, wearing clothes akin to the medieval age. This Deku gave him a soft smile and understanding eyes before putting his hand over his eyes.
Then, everything went black.
💫💫💫
.
.
.
"AH!!!" Katsuki's screams had disturbed the entire peace of the Bakugo household.
Mitsuki and Masaru will never forget those haunting shrills.
"Katsuki! Katsuki, wake up! You are having a nightmare, baby!!! Mitsuki exclaimed with worry imprinted on her face. She was holding her brat's hand like a lifeline.
"Son!!! Son, we are here, wake up!!!" Masaru ruffled his hair but it was useless.
After a few minutes, their son gasped and finally opened his eyes.
He seemed panicked.
"Izuku! Izuku, where is he? Hag, where is he?!" That was the very first thing that the younger blond pronounced.
"What are you talking about?" Mitsuki didn't comprehend.
"Y-Yeah, someone like me took him away and I-I could do n-nothing!!!" Katsuki remarked in exasperation.
"Son, you say that you always meet Izuku in your dreams. You don't dream every day. Maybe this was just a nightmare and Izuku will appear once again in the following nights," Masaru shared his thoughts.
"Exactly, don't get ahead of yourself," Mitsuki added.
"No… no, you two don't understand. I've never had nightmares, less one so realistic like this… we were in the realm of dreams I know it… I fucking know it. I l-lost him… I…" Katsuki's voice cracked.
Mitsuki and Masaru couldn't do anything but do their best to console their son that night.
💫💫💫
.
.
.
Through the following days, Katsuki keeps dreaming, but he's alone.
Izuku is no longer there.
💫💫💫
.
.
.
"Fuck, Izuku! Where are you?!" The blond bursted into tears.
It's been months, and Katsuki hasn't been able to see Izuku through his dreams.
At one point, he stopped having access to that realm due to his insomnia.
It was infuriating.
Izuku's last words repeat in his mind over and over again.
'I love you'.
He regrets so much not having said it back.
Damn his emotional constipated ass.
Because he does. He loves him with every single fiber of his entire being, he always has. There's no way that he can move on from him, because Izuku ruined him from anyone else. No one will ever be able to take his place. Katsuki never imagined that someone could mean this much to him, and here he is, completely defeated because he lost his person. The one he was supposed to protect and cherish with all he's got, and he failed.
He took their perfect dreams for granted.
'It hurts'.
Those words hover around his brain and don't let him sleep at night.
They were terrifying. Because what if it meant that Izuku is no longer…
No.
Katsuki refuses to accept that terrifying fact.
Izuku has to be somewhere around the world, waiting for him to find him.
The spirit to fight hasn't left him, even on his worst days.
His parents have tried to cheer him up, and he appreciates it but… it will never be enough to fill up the abyss that is the absence of Izuku in his life.
Loneliness has been eating his heart from the inside, taking grand chomps from it, leaving it empty and dry.
This time of the year was even more depressing with all the winter holidays coming up. Katsuki's mornings were mostly gray. They would be completely dark if it wasn't for his friends. Not that he would accept that in front of them. Each one had taken up the role to 'pester him'. Today was Shitty Hair's turn. Both were studying in the same campus.
"Hey, man. I'm sure you will find him. Soulmates are meant to find their path towards each other, just like Nei and I did when our matching marks glowed when we met," the red head explained.
"Damn right I will," Katsuki exclaimed with all the determination he could muster, even if he was afraid.
"I believe in you, Bro."
"Sup' babe, sup' loser," Monoma appeared out of nowhere and greeted them in his own way, not before landing a smooch on his boyfriend's cheek.
"Right back at cha', idiot," Katsuki rolled his eyes.
"What? Still all depressed over your soulmate?" The blue eyed guy provoked him.
"Nei…" Eijirou warned him, holding him by his waist and sitting him on his lap.
Katsuki closed his fists tightly.
"Monoma, you piece of shit… you might be my friend's soulmate but that doesn't mean that I—," he didn't get to finish. Neito shoved his phone into his face and started to play a video.
Katsuki's blood ran cold just by the image he was seeing.
He snatched the device away with trembling hands.
"Nei, what did you show him?" Kirishima wondered, placing his chin over the blond's shoulder.
"Shhh…" He hushed him.
Everyone listened to what seemed like a reporter from international news.
///They call him 'the sleeping prince'. This young boy fell asleep seven months ago and hasn't been able to wake up ever since, even if his vitals are stable. Not even the neurologist Aizawa Shōta, from the prestigious UA Hospital, has succeeded to find an explanation as to why Izuku Midoriya is sleeping. Inko and Hisashi Midoriya, his parents, are desperately requesting help from neurologists from all over the world to come to America and cure their son///.
Deku is alive.
Deku is just…
…sleeping, thousands of kilometers away from him.
Fuck, his Deku is so fucking far.
And he needs him.
"Fucking hell, Shitty Hair, kiss for me that stupid boyfriend of yours as my gratefulness," Katsuki stood up from the bench were he was, now rushing to his home with a newfound light that danced beautifully over his scarlet hues.
And Kirishima did. He also peppered kisses all over Monoma's neck, where one of the marks that bonds them was.
"I know you don't like Kats that much, Nei. Thank you so much for this, it truly means a lot," Kirishima spoke in awe. "Why did you do it, though?"
"Tch. I just… I just thought that if your roles were reversed, I'd never want to see you so sad over me having disappeared," Neito exclaimed with a blush on his face.
Kirishima's pupils dilated and then crystallized.
"Y-You are the best, babe," the redhead sobbed.
"W-Why are you crying, you damn sunshine!!!" Neito was indignated.
"C-Cause that was so m-manly. You are the m-manliest of all, I love you so much," Eijirou cried. "I'm so lucky."
Monoma sighed. "That's me, you dumbass," he expressed fondly and kissed his boyfriend's forehead.
💫💫💫
.
.
.
Katsuki didn't hesitate to tell his parents about why he needed an airplane ticket to travel from Japan to United States in the middle of Christmas' Eve.
Both Mitsuki and Masaru knew how important this was for their son. Not only that, but also Izuku's life was on the line.
They immediately said yes.
Thank God the Bakugos were filthy rich and had the resources to make a family trip to the US with the snap of their fingers.
💫💫💫
.
.
.
Katsuki doesn't even know where the hell he left his parents after the taxi gave them a ride from the airport to the center of the city where Izuku and his family lived. The man couldn't take them further because of the heavy celebrations that were taking place at that very moment.
All he knew is that it was cold as fuck, but he didn't care. He kept running around the chilly unknown and crowded streets. Warm puffs of air escaped his mouth from the exertion of running in this weather, and he could barely feel his feet after his boots entered in contact with the white snow. His phone's GPS finally led him to where he had to be, just half an hour before the clock hit 12 o'clock at night.
UA's hospital.
💫💫💫
.
.
.
"Midoriya Izuku, where is he?!" Katsuki demanded the receptionist nurse.
The nurse, or Camie, as her tagged stated, didn't even blink an eye. She continued to chew her bubblegum without a care in the world. It seems as if she was accustomed and tired of this question. The brunette just signaled right and muttered "1A".
Katsuki took a deep breath before opening the door.
And there he was.
Napping without a care in the world, just as he left him all those months ago.
He walked towards the bed and holy shit.
Izuku is real, and he's gorgeous.
That word stays short to describe him.
Katsuki knew Deku was beautiful from his dreams, but this doesn't even get near to this. His heart swelled just by the sight of him. He felt so freaking emotional that he didn't even realize he was crying silently.
Katsuki sat on the bedside and caressed his cheeks, those he adored because they really had constellations all over them and gave him part of his charm.
"Hey, nerd," Katsuki whispered, running his hands through Izuku's viridian curls. They were softer than he had ever sensed before. The blond kept touching his face gently, as if bewitched, memorizing every single feature of it by touch. He noticed that weird electrodes were touching his temples.
Tears fell over Izuku's cheeks.
"Won't you wake up for me, pretty boy? You've been sleeping for quite a long time," Katsuki's dam broke and words flowed like a crescent river.
"I miss you. I miss you so fucking much, Izuku. There's a lot of things I have to tell you, and even much more that you haven't seen yet. You'd love to see the cherry blossoms with me."
Izuku didn't react.
"The moments I spent with you dreaming, were the happiest of my entire life. You can't leave me without letting me experience the real thing, you idiot", Katsuki wailed loudly.
"Please, wake up!!! Fucking wake up already, I need you!!!" He yelled.
"What is this brat doing to my patient?!!!" A man with black long hair and dark blue scrubs entered the room. He was about to get Katsuki out when another health professional stopped him.
Katsuki embraced Izuku's body tightly, refusing to let go.
"Shōta, wait!!!" The other man with a white lab coat stopped him.
"What do you want, Shirakumo?! I won't let this stranger disturb my—," he continued.
"Look at this!!! Check out his brain scans!!! We've never seen this before, he's on the verge of waking up," his colleague declared.
Shōta's eyes widened when he saw the pattern of electromagnetic waves from Izuku Midoriya, or his "Problem Child", as he had named him. This boy was the biggest challenge of his entire career.
"Keep talking to him, brat!!!" He ordered in shock.
"I'm meant to be by your side, asshole! How dare you keep me apart from you!" Katsuki screamed, clutching at his medical coat over his heart.
"I love you," Katsuki finished, leaning into him and planting a soft kiss over his lips.
The sound of fireworks from outside reached him.
He didn't expect to feel a light answer back.
"Kacchan? M' I dreamin'? Deku questioned him groggily.
Aizawa and Shirakumo were astonished.
"Fuck!!! Fuck!!! Welcome back," the blond finally breathed.
"Why ar' ya' cryin'?" Izuku questioned him, putting his cool hand over Katsuki's cheeks.
The fiery blond placed his own hand atop of it and kissed the greenette's palm.
"Because you are my Christmas miracle," Katsuki smiled.
💫💫💫
.
.
.
The news about the sleeping prince that was woken up by his soulmate from the other side of the world went viral all over the entire globe.
It was insane how your own soulmate could influence you this much.
Aizawa theorized that Izuku falling asleep was a mechanism that his own body had developed to be found by Katsuki. Not only that, it reinforced the fact that those two were meant to be side by side.
Izuku and Katsuki, though? They believe that their souls have known one another since the beginning of times.
Their case led to investing in research dedicated to the study of soulmates, and to prepare proper specialists for the future.
💫💫💫
.
.
.
"These flowers will always remind me of that day," Izuku chuckled, brushing away a cherry blossom from his husband's hair.
"Of course they will. You woke up right after I mentioned that," Katsuki looked away, feeling embarrassed.
Izuku laughed and pulled him towards him by his waist.
"Lies! I woke up after you told me you love me!" He parroted, just like he does every single year.
"Well, yes, idiot! Newsflash, I fucking love you! Is there a problem with that?!" Katsuki told him all flustered, locking his arms around the other's neck.
"I wouldn't have it any other way," Izuku beamed, and Katsuki couldn't help it but kiss him.
He was the happiest man alive.
Who would have thought that dreams come true, after all?
