“aren’t you such a cute little boy?”
luca wished that was directed to him.
he had recently gotten a new puppy, a golden retriever to be exact
luca had always been known for having the “golden retriever personality”, but hes always denied it
however, in this moment he has never wanted to be a golden retriever this much before
you see, his lover, ike eveland, had been fawning over the pup ever since luca had brought him home
and luca was a very jealous man
it had been a week ever since his daily dose of ikey wikey had been stripped from him, all because of some dog
this past week, luca had been asking his ikey for some time together, but ike would always be busy with that dog
‘give me a minute, i need to feed the puppy’ or ‘ill just give the puppy a bath’ are just some of the excuses ike gave when he asked him for some alone time. and after he did those things, hes completely forgotten about luca’s request!
so yes, luca was jealous. but his pride would never allow him to say that
“ikey wikeyy~” luca said as he attempted to get his beloved’s attention
“yes luca?” ike turned to him
“can we cuddle?” luca asks, trying to give the best puppy eyes he could
“alright, let me just lay this guy down for his na—“
“why is your attention always on the puppy! what about my feelings!” luca finally bursted
ike looked at him with a bewildered expression
“what do you mean, luca?” he asked, confused on why his boyfriend would think that
“well your attention had been on him ever since i brought him home! hes taking you away from me!” luca pouted
“are you jealous of a puppy?” ike asked with a smug look on his face
“no! why would i be?” luca said defensively
ike set the dog down on the other side of the couch before moving closer to luca
“well with how you’re acting, i think you are!” ike said with a smirk on his face
luca wrapped an arm around his waist and looked away
“if you really wanted my time then you should’ve just asked..” ike tried to comfort him
“well i did! but you were so attached to the puppy that you didn’t even pay attention to me!” luca pouted even more
“im sorry, you know i love you right?” ike said with a smile
luca was oh so helplessly smitten for him
“..yes” luca spoke hesitantly
ike held luca’s face in his hands and brought him closer before finally kissing him
“you’ll always be the number 1 puppy in my heart” ike said lovingly
“i love you ikey”
“love you too, luca”
“so can we cuddle now?” luca asked
“alright, we can cuDDLE—“ ike spoke before getting hoisted up into luca’s arms
ike instinctively wrapped his legs around luca’s waist so that he wouldnt fall, although he knew luca wouldnt let him either way
“good, lets go!” luca smiled
and luca learned to share ike eveland with the puppy (and only the puppy) ever since
