Thomas and Guy went on a romantic holiday to Perugia, Italy. They arrived in the early afternoon and felt like walking around the stunning city with its beautiful ancient architecture and monuments. They wandered down narrow cobbled streets, where every now and then the two bumped into each other. It was their way of getting in a few touches, while not being allowed to walk down the streets holding hands. Sometimes Thomas would get a little too excited at the sight of something and then had to wait for Guy to catch up. Guy would often be chuckling at Thomas‘ enthusiasm, exclaiming „You need to slow down a little, darling. I‘m not as young and fit as I used to be.“
Most of their days were spent walking around, sampling the local cuisine as much as possible and rounding off each night with the best gelato in town, curtesy of Thomas begging Guy every night to go get another one. Thomas would try his way through all the most exotic flavours he could get his hands on, while Guy mostly stuck to mint and chocolate.
One day they came across a secluded little lake that seemed perfect for a little swim to cool down. While Thomas was apprehensive of going in without their swim costumes on and wanted to come back with them another day, Guy had no such qualms. He started undressing as soon as he had checked that they were indeed alone and quickly stood in front of Thomas naked as the day he was born. Thomas was so transfixed by the sight in front of him, he forgot what he was complaining about a few seconds before. So, with just a little persuasion from Guy, he too got undressed, put their all their clothes into a neat pile before they both got in the water. It proofed to be a rare opportunity for them to be close to each other in a public space. After swimming for a while, they just stood in the water, hugging each other, enjoying each other’s presence and sharing lazy kisses. It was the perfect way to spend an afternoon. And the day ended just as perfectly, when they went for yet another ice cream that evening before going to bed a little earlier than they would usually. But they had their reason for it and we shall let them enjoy it.
