Habit (Larry Stylinson)

Summary:

When Louis' mom decides she needs to put Harry in charge to look after Louis when she goes to work, Louis makes a plan to annoy Harry so he doesn't have to go over to his house anymore. But when Louis meets him, his plan goes out the window, making Louis act nervous and shy with Harry due to his intimidating looks and deep voice. Things then slowly escalate from there.

Chapter Text

16 year old Louis sat on his bed playing Smurf's Village on his iPad when his mom called out "I'm going out to meeting Maura! I'll be back in a few hours and you better not do anything bad, Louis! I mean it and remember you're grouded, " from down stairs. Louis just rolled his eyes and waited for her to leave.

Yesterday when Louis' mom left him alone, he snooped around to find spare money to get himself a bunch of junkfood from Tesco down the road. Jay later found the stash in his bedroom the day after, getting mad at him and grounding him.

As soon as Louis heard the front door shut, he immediatly texted Niall, his best friend from his school.

Louis: Niall! My mom just left did yours?

Niall: Yeah why?

Louis: Meet me at the park so we can hangout

Niall: But I thought you're grounded

Louis: So? I'll be back before her and she won't find out just come on

Louis looked at the time on his phone reading 7:42 PM. He made a mental note to get back home by 9:00 so his mum wouldn't find out he left the house. He put on his jumper and shoes and started walking to the park.

Niall and Louis messed around at the park and then went to Niall's house when it got dark. They played on his Xbox and ate junkfood until Louis finally realised he should check the time.

"Shit! It's already 9:03! I need to go."

Louis left Niall's house in a rush and ran back to his, hoping his mom wouldn't be there already. He opened the door but then met his mom with her arms crossed looking upset.

"Louis! I thought I told you specifically not to do anything bad. I even reminded you that you're grounded and there you went sneaking off to go hangout with who? Niall again? I have no problem with you being with friends espessialy since it's still summer break, but after you stole money from me only to buy a hoard of sweets and then lie to me, I feel you should be grounded for a couple days. And now it's only worse that you snuck out of the house without me knowing where you even were."

During her long rant, Louis just huffed and sat on the coutch, not listening to her rambling.

She then sat next to him and said "Louis, you're 16! I shouldn't be worried to leave you home alone. It's five times now that you've gotten into trouble while I'm gone. You've stolen, snuck out, practically lit the house on fire, got complaints from the neighbor for being too loud with your friends, and spent my money on silly video games without me knowing... You know, I think it would be a good idea to drop you off at Harry's house everytime I leave. He could look after you."

"What! No! I'm not going over to some stranger's house. I promise, I can look after myself. I won't do anything again."

"That's what you said last time, Louis. And Harry isn't a stranger. Remember Anne? He's her son and he's 18 so you guys could get on really well. He's really nice!"

"No mum! We're probably just going to annoy each other and end up fighting the whole time."

"I doubt that. And he's also pretty handsome." She said with a mischevious tone.

"No way don't even think about that." Louis said, getting up off the couch and and going upstairs to his room.

He thought to himself that if his mom will let Harry 'look after' him, he'd just bug him the whole time and act really sassy so that he'll not want to have anything to do with Louis. He was really good at scaring off babysitters when he was younger, so this wouldn't be much different, right?
