MK was training with his father's and friends to prepare for the fight against the brotherhood.
Their fighting chemistry was good, but still needed to be worked on of course.
As he and Mei were in sync, more magic glowed around them as they fight and work as a duo. Then in the end, he and his best friend.
MK looked down at himself as he was in awe of the new armor. MK sees that his adopted father looked sad and disappointed when he didn't get celestial armor.
He almost busted out laughing when Mei and Pigsy were at each others throats.
power....
MK shook his head.
What the fuck was that?
He didn't just hear an anonymous voice in his head right?
conquer anyone who stands against your will....
Okay, now he can officially say that he's gone crazy.
What does it even mean?
rise up and take your celestial throne....
destroy the imposter that now sits on it....

"Yoohoo! MK! Are you still with me bud?" MK jumps as he sees his mentor standing next to him.
He sighs in relief "Yeah, just in my own head is all"
Sun Wukong nodded "Ah, I get that. You want to continue practice?"
"You know it!" MK jumps up.
The voices were getting worse
As they were preparing for an ambush, the voices were suddenly louder. Chanting to destroy Azure, the imposter that took his rightful place at the throne.
MK told everyone that he was gonna take a break and sat outside the cave.
Destroy him, destroy him...
Execute those three fools who stand against you...

Why is MK having these thoughts now? He never had these thought when he was fighting previous foes before. Why now? Maybe it was just the jitters?
Yeah! The jitters! He's probably just nervous about the fight, that's all!
Yeah, nothing about a predetermined fate at all.

Nope! Not gonna hear those voices in their head. Probably just a temporary thing.

MK unknowingly falls into a trance. Somehow the voices are calming.
Soothing even.
They are now talking about his right to the throne and filled him with praises of joy. Begging him to take the celestial throne.
MK doesn't know why, but the title of emporer, doesn't sound so bad to him.
It is in his birth right, isn't it?
MK thought? Did MK think that? The voice was him, but almost different.
His mind wanders. If he's emporer, will he have to get married. If so, he hopes he gets to choose a partner. Red Son would be an awesome pick. MK always had a crush on him ever since Spider Queen took over the city once. Marrying him in the celestial realm would be perfect.
He was so busy with his fantasy(?) that he did really notice his reflection, which showed his eyes glowing gold.
"MK!" the boy snapped out of his fantasy as he looked the at source of the sound.
What in the hell is he thinking?!
Him, Jade Emporer?
Please, like that'll ever happen!
Mei was waving with a box full of things. "Wanna help me set up this bomb?" MK smiles and runs to Mei, completely forgetting about the voices.
MK was buckling up his gem boot accessory thingy as Wukong surprised from behind. "You got this bud. I would like to give you more training with this new monkey form but-"
"Ooh, yeah yeah yeah! Uh, about that um, I-I was thinkin'. I never really needed a scary new monkey form before so, I thought maybe I just use it next time" MK stutters as the monkey form was mentioned.
Wukong looked at him with disbelief "Next time? Kid, there might not BE a next time. This IS the time"
MK pushes it off "It'll be FINE. Mei and I got this awesome new armor now and everything. You know when we look this good, ain't nothing gonna beat us" MK slowly scoots away from his mentor.
Monkey King grabbed him by the shoulder "Kid, new armor isn't gonna cut it. We have to hit Azure with everything we got. You can't just ignore this whole part of your power because it scares you"
The whispers in his head became louder "I-"
The next thing he knew, he sensed something.
Imposter...
The sky turned a light starry blue as cracks formed, showing the end of reality.
The battle was about to start.
Macaque appears from a shadow portal as he brought the others.
"They're coming! Get down!"
Azure, Peng, and Yellow Tusk are here...
"Welp, that's the last of them" Wukong says as he grabs a piece of the scroll of memory.
The big sized Azure looked at Wukong near the scroll pieces and he was NOT happy. "No! If you will not kneel before your emporer you will perish before your emporer!"
Due to Azure's size, him just trying to punch the Monkey King made the little monkeys and the scroll pieces fly away due to the force of it. Wukong was ready for a gigantic punch to the face until he looked up.
"Kid!!"
MK was blocking Azure's attack as he tries to deflect the island shattering punch.
"After all Sun Wukong has put you through, how much he's let you down, you would still meet fate trying to protect him?!"
'Hypocrite' MK(?) thought.
Azure puts on more force that MK was struggling with.
"Azure, stop this!" Wukong punched away Azure's fist.
"He doesn't deserve such loyalty. Yet you insist on le arning the hard way, just as I did"
Golden glitches were showing.
Hypocrisy...

Okay, he legit agrees with the voices. Azure used him for his own gain, to free his friends, trying to be a so called hero.
Heroes don't risk the universe for a chance to be recognized as a hero. They don't punch and attack everything and anyone just for a little praise and luxury. They don't attack others just for a grudge!
'Insisted in learning the hard way'?! You did that to yourself when you try to make your so called paradise, out of innocent lives! Out of the lives you stole!
'Show him'

'Show him our true power. Show this false hero, FALSE EMPEROR, how weak he is compared to us'
His body started glitching in and out again of his monkey form.

"I should've never trusted the Monkey King!" Azure lifted his sword.

"TO NOTHING" Azure swings his sword.
'SHOW THEM AND PUNISH THEM ALL!!'
"AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!" A big pillar of shining golden power rises from MK as it blows away the sword.
"No.."
The power..
It's was swelling in him..
It's so overwhelming...
But...
It felt so good. So pleasurable..
In the middle of the glowing pillar of power, was a monkey MK.
To the response of the voices and Azure, he looks up to the fake emporer with glowing eyes "Hmm, Well alright then"
With the speed faster than light, he gets up close to Azure and whips his tail to send him flying to another side. Even though Azure tried to use the broken rubble and trees against him in the sky, he zooms past and destroyed all of it. He landed blow after blow, punching him from behind and in the guts multiple times.
His god-like speed and strength was putting Azure in a very vulnerable state. Not being able to land a hit on the monkey.
"He's too fast. What is he?" Azure flinched in pain. The power of The Jade Emporer was getting more hard to sustain as he starts to break apart. MK tries to land another blow, but the big hand captured him before he could. "Look what he's done to you. Reduced you to a mindless, savage animal"
Mindless, oh no. He was definitely not that.
But savage..
He was gonna give him more than savage..
He looks to Azure and used his strength and power to burst out the big hand and unleash more to hurt and tear apart Azure. He floats in the air,
"Oh there's nothing mindless about me, friend" he give another big blow to Azure back, which made the false emporer stumble. MK uses his speed to go in front of him and uppercuts him to above the clouds. The fight (more like Azure getting an ass whoopin') in the sky made it look a firework show.
As Azure took another punch in the gut, he regained his posture and swing his sword at MK, which he blocked with only his gods damn wrist.
Let the fake face judgement!
"That's who you were pretending to be right? To be my friend? To care about me?" MK lands another punch to his gut as he flies up. He uses his tail as a whip to land another hit. "When really, you were just USING me to get what YOU wanted!" MK flies up to yo head butt the sharp edge of Azure's blade, which didn't hurt him at all.
"To turn me against my own mentor" A gigantic gold monkey kaiju appeared that was most likely more than 300 times Azure's height. Long hair, multiple tails, and sharp claws. Azure couldn't believe his eyes when he saw it.
"Well put your hands in the monkey cage, and expect to get bit son" MK floats down as the Kaiju literally swallows him whole.
Azure screams and groans in pain. He then turns his sword with the blade facing the side, using it now as a sheild more than a sword.
Defeat the false hero!
MK was headbutting the sword as the sword begins to crack due to the monkey's strength, his power was bursting to the point that the landscape took damage while he was in the sky fight Azure. Grunts were coming out of the celestial monkey.
"COME ON!"
Come on!
Azure's body was breaking...
"Come on Unkie Lion!" Azure can see the anger on the boy's face above him. An anger of a strong warrior.
"You're the big hero right? Then prove it!" Azure felt like he was having deja vu. He could've sworn that someone in particular...
A certain Jade Emporer...
Gave him that same look...
Saying those exact same words...
"SHOW ME!!!" MK lands the final blow on Azure, having him collide with the mountain that belongs to his former brother. The mountain that had the chains that contained Wukong.
Huh?
Isn't that Ironic?
Then as you know it, the world, the universe began to fall apart. Due to the powers of the universe breaking, MK transformed back into a human.
We all know what happened after that.
1 month later at Pigsy's Noodles
Why?
Why was this happening?

MK thought these voices disappeared. They've haven't bothered him for more than a month, so why are they here now?
To make things worse, he kept seeing these weird visions.
Visions of a throne...
Visions of him wearing the crown...
Him glowing like he was an omniscient being...
What is this?
Heir to the throne...
God of Balance...
God of Lightening...
...What were they trying to tell him?
MK tries to think, but those whispers...
They were sending him in some kind of trance...
It became more soothing, pleasing, than scary. It became the exact opposite of scary.
MK was so lost in this trance like state, he didn't even know how long he was in it.
"Oh, my lovely Qi Xiaotian"
A feminine voice. Her voice seems soothing as well.
"You're such a a perfect being. My perfect little baby"
Like the voice of a mother.
"My little deity of enforcement"
MK never wants to stop hearing it.

Wukong busted the door of the noodle shop as he wore his hoodie, sneakers and sweatpants.
"Is the kid okay?! I got bandages! Make sure he doesn't see the light!" Sun Wukong brought a big bag with who knows what as he searched for him and his companions.
"Uhh Monkey King?" Mei was sitting on one of the chairs of the restaurant. He looks to the right to see Pigsy and MK on the right, with their backs facing him. Tang seems to be...fanning MK with a hand fan. He could see electric fans too. He also sees MK surrounded by a slightly dull golden aura. He walks around to face MK.
"Hey kiddo, how are you-!!!" Wukong's eyes widen at the boy's state.
MK seems to be staring at nothing, his face showed no emotions like it would usually do, and there's the glowy yellow eyes, which makes it far more concerning. Pigsy looked at him.
"He's been stuck this for hours. I've tried everything that I could! Smelling salts, his favorite noodle dish, desserts, his least favorite dish, I splash him with water, everything!"
"Have to tried smacking him a little?" Macaque appears out of Tang's shadow, which scared the reincarnated monk.
"No and we're still not going to try that" Pigsy said to the shadow monkey.
Macaque scoffs and smirks "Oh come on piglet, there's nothing wrong with just a small smack in the face"
"Call me piglet one more time, either of you monkeys, I swear to-"
"WAIT, I know how to wake up MK" Mei shouted.

"Uhh, so how is this gonna wake MK up dragon girl?" Macaque sees Mei with a bottle of some type of cologne. Looks cheap too.
Mei sprays the cologne all over the shop "You'll see. By the way everyone get to the kitchen" Everyone listen to Mei as she inhales some air.
"HEY MK! JAY IS HERE!" Mei runs as fast as she can to the kitchen. Wukong looks at Mei.
"Uh who's Jay-" Then he ducked due to a huge swing of the red staff.
"Where the hell is the bastard?!" MK shouted as he stands up on the table looking for bloodshed.
"Okay, now I need to know who Jay is" Macaque smiles mischievously. MK looks at the two monkeys confirmed.
"Wait, Macaque? Monkey King? What are you guys doing here?" MK placed the staff back in his ear.
"We can explain later, but tell me more of this Jay guy. He seems to have you ticked off" Macaque says.
MK sat outside near the desert location. Wandering in his thoughts.
Heavenly Enforcer...

These voices didn't help though.
Of course he had to lie about the visions being an only one time thing. Ugh, come on MK. The woman's voice though. Why does it sound so familiar to him? So...homely.
And what do they mean by 'Heavenly Enforcer'? What was there exactly to enforce? Azure, Lady Bone Demon, Spider Queen, they were just somewhat villains in this story.

Wasn't this already his duty?
If not, what was he created for then?
He saw a type of goddess in the vision with the Patriarch, so he wasn't born of chaos, or at least he hoped.
"Noodle boy" MK turns around to see Red Son. Red Son stood near him "I'm surprised to see you out here. Or at least surprised that you're not with dragon girl"
MK chuckles "Na, just me, myself, and I today"
Red sat down next to his former nemesis. He takes one quick look at MK, "What's the matter? And don't lie about it this time"
MK did a double take "W-wha?"
"Dragon girl told me what happened to you the other day. She had a feeling that those visions you saw weren't a one time thing" Red Son says as MK stares at him with disbelief, but then laughed a little.
"Mei has always been the one that could figure me out" MK softly says.
Red Son raised a brow "There is something wrong then"
MK sighs and begins to spill everything about the visions, the fantasies (didn't mention the fantasy about marrying him though thankfully), the woman speaking to him, and his experience with Azure.
"Ever since I saw that ink demon thing in the scroll, ever since this whole monkey form thing, I-I just freak out whenever that power comes out, but at the same time, it feels normal, comfortable even. What if- what if I am a harbinger of Chaos?" MK looks down to his hands.
Red Son hums "I can see your point. Do you know what that memory scroll is supposed to do?"
"Huh?"
Red Son sighs "That scroll was made by the Diyu, the Underworld and it's 10 kings. They're normally known to punish sinners. The scroll is another type of torture method"
MK looks at Red. The demon boy continues "It not only shows your past, both good and bad, but it can put you in a guilt trip. Saying things that'll break the spirits of the most pure warriors. Sometimes it'll even lie, and say things that'll get under your skin, and make those good hearted warriors turn rotten"
MK has shock written all over it "So that Harbinger of Chaos stuff-"
"Is most likely way to get under you skin? Probably. It doesn't know your past, and only holds the story of JTTW, so it most likely sensed your power and consciousness and used that against you. Plus from your little visions you told me about I don't think "Celestial Enforcer" would have anything to do with Chaos, but none of that should matter" MK continues to stare at Red.
"That power is your to begin with. You have a free will, soul and personality. If you were created for some kind of purpose, you wouldn't have that caring personality that everyone clearly loves and you wouldn't any feel guilt about doing those actions in the first place
"You're definitely not a monster of chaos or something celestial creature made to serve Heaven's will, you're MK, the Monkie Kid. You use the power to protect the home and life you love. You and your stupid loving personality is what made me love you in the first place"
MK blushes a pinkish-red "L-love? Y-you love me?"
Red was the second to blush "Did I say love? Oh, I mean, uh, um *ahem*, crap I meant to do it later"
"Will you go on a date with me?!" MK yells with a flushed face filled with embarrassment and eyes closed.
Both faces were bright red due to their accidental confessions. Red looked to the side "On a date. Depends where you want to go"
MK looks up to Red with hope "So is that a yes?"
Red looked his head the other way "It definitely isn't a no-!!" MK kissed Red on the cheek as he grabbed Red's hands and jumped and laughed for joy, while Red with his head in literal flames, was dragged by him.
"Noodle Brain settle down!" Red yelled at the man. MK settles down with the laughs
"I'm sorry, I'm just super duper, extremely happy at the moment" Red Son sighs as he looked at him seriously.
"Noodle I want to make one promise" Red Son says as MK looked at him with curiosity.
"Sure what is it?"
Red grabs MK by the shoulders "Practice in your monkey form. Sooner rather than later. Containing those powers of yours is not healthy and it holds you back when you fight your enemies. Especially since you have the power to defeat someone who had the power of the Jade Emporer. Your power is part of you, you shouldn't have to fear yourself, only love it"
MK looks down before looking up to Red with a smile "Alright I'll try"
"I mean it, you better be practicing it in about a week or I'll drag you to my training grounds myself" Red says as MK chuckles.
"Alright, alright. I wouldn't want to feel the wrath of the demon bull prince. Though I do wonder what kind of punishment you would give me?" MK teased.
Red blushes a little "P-punishments?"
"Yeah, like egging my house, drawing on my face, making eat those spicy ass smoothies" MK nonchalantly says.
"O-oh. That's what you mean"
MK looked confused at his new boyfriend "Of course. What were you-" MK stops in realization before giving him a sly smirk.
"Noodle boy, I swear to the gods" Red's face became even more pink after MK's smirk.
"My, my Red~ Let's at least go out to eat first before doing any of that stuff~. Now I purposely don't want to train just to see what you would do~" MK says with a teasing chuckle.
"I'm going to make you suffer"
"Ooh in what kind of ways?~" MK says as Red's hair bursted in to flames as he ran to him. MK starts making haste as he was chased his flustered boyfriend. MK laughs as he continues to run in circles in the desert with Red.
This may be the calm before the storm, but who says that they still can't have fun?
Besides MK completely forgot about those voices.
