Reki really didn’t want to show up at his older boyfriend’s house all bloodied, which was why he was spending time at his hideout cleaning up his bloody nose and the small cut on her cheek. He didn’t want to show up to a date looking like he had done nothing but fight all day (he did a mixture of fighting and paperwork). Kaoru doesn’t deserve to see me looking like a beast. Once Reki finished cleaning up all of his injuries, he was ready to head over to Kaoru’s house.
Before he left his hideout, Reki grabbed his gun and placed the steel weapon in the pocket of his hoodie. He checked his phone and smiled at a message from Kaoru. I’m on the way. He thought and he sent Kaoru those words, happy he had ended work early so he could make it to their date on time. Reki hated making Kaoru wait even though he was going to be early for their date.
By the time he arrived at the restaurant, Kaoru smiled a soft smile at him and Reki wanted to keep that smile on his boyfriend’s face, knowing he would do anything to see Kaoru safe and relaxed.
And Reki meant anything.
“You okay?” Kaoru asked and Reki snapped back to attention and he gave the slightly shorter man a large smile.
“I’m fine, I promise,” he didn’t want to worry his boyfriend and yet, Reki had worried his boyfriend by being so quiet. However, he couldn’t help being so quiet when he was staring at such a pretty man. “You’re very pretty,” he told Kaoru and the blush that resulted made Reki smirk, knowing he was the only one who could make Kaoru blush so sweetly like that and he prided himself on being the only one who could do that to the older man.
“You were admiring my looks, weren’t you?” Kaoru accused and Reki grinned at him, knowing that the man could read him when he was merely staring at him like a weirdo. Kaoru was still blushing and he wasn’t really angry at him for staring, he just forgot that Reki enjoyed staring at him when he was happy and relaxed.
Kaoru wanted to remain relaxed for Reki, knowing he would do anything to keep him happy. The older man wanted to keep Reki with him and make sure things were perfectly okay with him. He would do that for Reki, knowing that the slightly younger man would appreciate him checking up on him. After all, Kaoru was different than other people. He was extremely special to Reki and Kaoru knew it. “Stay with me tonight?” Reki, despite knowing he should refuse, smiled softly at his boyfriend and pressed his lips to Kaoru’s lips.
“As you wish,” he responded, wanting to keep Kaoru happy and safe. After all, he can spend some time away from his job. If his employees really need something from him, they can just text him. Reki wasn’t going to ignore his worried boyfriend, knowing he just wanted to make sure that he was alright.
