Andrews Life Throughout The Years

Summary:

Andrew had been through a lot so far and he was only 13. When he got to his 12th foster home, he thought it’d be the exact same. When he met Cass and Drake, he didn’t realize how stupid he was to think they were the picture perfect family he’d always longed for.

Chapter Text

Andrew sat still tense with his backpack, listening to his new foster mom. “Andrew, right? I’m Cass and this is Drake! We’re so excited that you’re here.” Andrew stared at her as she introduced herself and her son. Case had blonde hair and blue eyes. She had wrinkles from years of smiling. Andrew thought that anyone else would think she was pretty, gorgeous even. But seeing her kind smile and warm eyes did nothing to ease his nerves.

Andrew finally snapped out of his thoughts and looked up at Drake. He had dark hair and a few tattoos. Something about him was off. Andrew didn’t like him at all. He smiled but he had a dark look in his eyes. “It’s alright if you don’t want to talk a lot, I know how tough these things can be!” Cass spoke with a worried tone, “Drake can show you your room. If you want to change anything, just let me know. I want you to feel comfortable in your room.”

Drake lead Andrew up the stairs. Andrew looked around, the upstairs of the house had light green walls and the windows were letting the sunlight in, creating a homey vibe. There were about 4 doors upstairs. Some were open, some weren’t. From what Andrew could see through the cracks in the doors there was a bathroom to his right, the first door on the wall. He was caught up with that when all of a sudden, “Hey, your rooms here.” Drake led him to a door on his left, the furthest door from the stairs. Andrew walked into the room. It was painted a light grey color. There was a closet to the right of him and a bed to the left against the wall. He also had a desk next to his bed.

He put his backpack down on his bed and turned around. He realized Drake was still there, staring at him. He was leaning against the wall in the doorway. He smiled when Andrew looked at him. “Your middle names Joseph, right?” Andrew nodded at him, not knowing how to respond. “Well then, can I call you AJ?” Andrew didn’t want to say yes, he hated being called by nicknames but, when he was about to say no Drake spoke, “Cool, then it’s settled. I’ll see you around, AJ.” Drake had a dark look in his eyes as he walked away. Andrew froze as he realized Drake had been staring at him the whole time he had been looking around. Andrew tried to brush it off as he got ready for bed, tried to convince himself it was nothing as he tried to go to sleep.
