Work Text:

"The night was calm, don't you think?" Selina said as she gently got out of the Batmobile at the same time that she removed her mask, letting the dim light of the cave illuminate her face. Bruce gave a small smile as he did the same, he felt incredibly sweaty, the night had been calm, although the amount of cardio he'd put in trying to keep up with Selina across Gotham's rooftops had been impressive even for him.

"You're right" Selina smiled back at him "I'm going to take a shower, you should too Bats, you're starting to stink" she said with a giggle, walking past him to head towards the private showers. Bruce snorted, although the smile hadn't left his face, he went to his seat at the batcomputer and began filing the recent cases and the night's report. It was kind of boring, even if it was wrong for him to admit it, the sound of his fingers on the keyboard was kind of boring… maybe… He let out a short breath and opened an audio file on the computer, Jason's playlist. It was pretty good, he had to admit that his second eldest son had pretty good taste, or at least one similar to his. Music from the 80s, 90s, and 70s reverberated through the cave at a pleasant volume, Bruce even found himself humming Mr. Blue Sky before leaving the computer to go clean up in his own bathroom, it didn't take long for him to return , his routine was relatively simple and in less than 10 minutes he was sitting in front of the batcomputer humming again, "Wonderwall" this time.

Meanwhile, Selina took her time in the shower, the warm water was extremely pleasant after a quiet night, and Bruce didn't skimp on personal care products, there was a bit of everything there. Once showered and smelling softly of peonies and lavender, she dressed in a lightweight tank top and a set of incredibly soft sweatpants. What on earth did Alfred use to leave clothes this soft? She'd have to ask him later. She went to look inside one of the cabinets in there and found enough products for a skincare routine... for an entire army. Hell Bruce, hyaluronic acid? really?.

She giggled to herself and continued with her routine. After a few minutes of figuring out an aloe vera mask she paused briefly when the soft sound of music came from the other side of the door. Her smile widened, Bruce had good taste in music after all. Selina came out into the cave a few minutes later, and stood behind the batcomputer.

"You took your time," Bruce said teasing her a bit as he continued to type what looked like a report. She rolled her eyes at him but her smile didn't fade one bit. "Beauty takes time to achieve Bats" she said as she leaned over to take a better look at what he was typing. Boring, as usual. She stood there as he typed for a while, she gave a sigh after "Take on Me", but perked up as a familiar song popped up next. She spun Bruce's chair so he was facing her now and started moving smoothly, humming the lyrics of the song a bit. He raised an eyebrow at her as she took both his hands into hers, forcing him to stand up. "I like this one", she says as a whisper into his ear.

Bruce chuckled at that but gave in and put his hands on her hips "Let's dance cat" he said as he started getting in tune with the rhythm of the song.

Starry nights, Sunny Days I always thought that love should be this way...

Selina moved smoothly taking soft steps back and forth, and spinning with agility as Bruce guided the dance. Green eyes met blue and the song continued behind them as they melted into the moment.

Oh Oh Baby we've been a long long way, And who's to say where we'll be tomorrow...

Spin, turn a lil twist here, another one there. Before they knew it they were already touring the whole cave.

Well my heart says no but my mind says it's so... That we got a love that isn't a love to stay...

They followed the pace of the song, in sync with the tune as it got faster and slower at times, it was as if they somehow were encapsuled in a bubble where no one could touch them, where they were just themselves, tired and a lil bit old, but... content.

We've got a wham, bam shang-a-lang And a sha-la-la-la-la-la babe
