Hear the falling and lonely, cry out.
Will you fix me up? Will you show me hope?
At the end of the day, when we’re helpless,
Can you keep me close? Can you love me most?
It was the middle of the war. Shigaraki still has not gotten up yet. But Hiiro was waiting for him. He got every league member to fight off the heroes for him. Were they losing? Yes. Did he care? No. Out of everyone in Japan, Hiiro was most loyal to Shigaraki. He might not show it much but he would break all his limbs for Shigaraki. Shigaraki was more than just his ‘boss’. He was his brother, his family. Their love was far greater than blood.
“HIIRO! RETREAT GODDAMN IT!” Dabi roared as he helped the second last member to get on the Machia. The only member left was Hiiro. He was not leaving the battlefield until Shigaraki woke.
“HIIRO! YOU’RE GONNA DIE IF YOU STAY THERE! JUST GET ON FOR FUCKS SAKE!” Dabi continued, trying to lend out his hand for Hiiro who was miles away from where he was.
Hiiro did not pay attention. All that mattered was that he kept the heroes busy. Even if his right arm was on the verge of falling off. Even if his eye was bleeding rapidly.
“Ignore him, let’s go to Shigaraki.” Endeavour called, tired of attempting to defeat Hiiro.
“I’m not.. done.. Endeavour..” He groaned, using his only other arm to slash out Endeavour’s torso with his quirk.
Endeavour’s eyes dilated. He turned his head to see the villain on one leg, the other dragging with blood. The green-white haired boy had a malicious grin still stuck on his face. Endeavour wanted to tear it out to shreds.
Endeavour stomped over to Hiiro. The boy shifted his head up to see Endeavour’s chin. Endeavour faced him like he was a weakling. There was no fear or shame in Hiiro’s face. Endeavour placed his palm on Hiiro’s right eye and started to burn it to flames.
“Endeavour!” Eraserhead called from a distance, not noticing what he was doing to Hiiro because of his current state
“Hurry up! Let’s go to Shigaraki!” He commanded.
Endeavour threw Hiiro to the ground and left. Class 1A was still on the field, taking out the smaller Nomus.
“HIIRO!” Toga cried.
Mr.compress pulled Toga back so she did not go back to the field, there were still heroes coming after the Machia. They retreated as fast as they could. Hiiro was the only villain left on the field. When was Shigaraki going to arrive?
Hiiro crawled with one elbow. He was losing too much blood. Too fast. He needed to retreat. Somewhere, he needed to rest. He needed someone. His remaining eye shoots a weak glare to the blond meters away from him, helping Todoroki with a bigger Nomu.
“Kach..an..” He moaned.
Fuck.
Hiiro’s last eye could not support him much longer. He felt it close, He felt his whole body close. No, no no no. Not now. Not yet. He tried as hard as he could to crawl over to his old friend. He needed help. He knew for hell Bakugo would never help him. But he was his last hope. Please, not now.
Bakugo and Todoroki were fighting off the biggest Nomu in the field. Todoroki’s spiking ice shot through the Nomu’s chest as Bakugo’s explosions blasted it’s head. Bakugo heard a familiar sound. A familiar name.
“Kach..an..”
His heart skipped a beat. He shifted his head to the sound, behind him. He saw a bleeding boy. On the ground.
“Deku?” He asked under his breath. Realization hit him like a rock in flowing water. His chest tightened
“IZUKU!” He cried as he darted over to the body.
“OI? BAKUGO!” Todoroki shouted as he saw his friend go over to the villain.
Every step to him, a memory faded back. Tears slowly brimmed into the corner of his eyes. Nothing mattered at that point. Not the screams of citizens, not the Nomus attacking his friend. Only Izuku.
He fell onto the ground stained with his former friend’s blood. His knees were getting painted with all his crimson-blood. Bakugo held Izuku in his arms. A head on his left arm and the bottom of his knee resting on the other. He saw the drying tears that filled Izuku's eyes. They drifted from his cheek, down his face, and into his ears. They just made Bakugo cry a bit too.
“I’m gonna get you help okay? You’re gonna be alright,” He sniffed and carried the villain to one of the stretchers.
Kamui Woods was beside Bakugo when he was placing him on. “Bakugo, that’s a villain-”
“That villain is sixteen.”
There was a long pause between the two.
“We’ll get him help, but he’s going to be put in custody after care,” Kamui noted.
“Just don’t let him die.” Bakugo replied, and went to help Todoroki once again.
