The oddity

Summary:

Nacho comes to Lalo for help. Lalo has been waiting for Nacho to approach him first. But what he finds in Nacho surprises him.

Notes:

Hello! Here is yet another lacho little thing that came up to me late at night :)
I tried to go for something I always wanted to give a go to, and it's to interlock a song lyrics in the fanfic itself, so it gives a second lecture to the work.
I used two lines from the song "If you want me" by Röyksopp, which to me has a nice lacho vibe to it.

Hope you enjoy!

Work Text:

Lalo stood by the bed, static, expressionless. The room was mostly silent, only a soft breath disturbing the still atmosphere. It was almost strange. Lalo wasn't used to the sounds of another being living in the same room as him during the night. He never liked to sleep with anyone else in the same room as him, so it never happened in years. Yet, here, laying on his bed, was a man. Ignacio Varga. Nachito. And now, cariño.

"Shhh... Esta bien." The words were still echoing in his mind, the memories as fresh as a couple hours earlier. He always had a very good memory. His mind was plagued with detailed images from the past. "Esta bien, Nachito. I understand."

Big wet eyes looked up at him. He had never seen them shining like this. It only made them prettier.

"I will take care of everything."

Ignacio blinked, and a single tear ran along his cheek. "I'll deal with it myself. I just need your help for the night."

Lalo smiled, pulling Ignacio closer to him, reducing the space keeping them apart, putting an end to the safe distance the smaller man always kept around him. He had noticed, of course he did. The distance, the side glances, the precaution to avoid touch, the slight change of breathing pattern, the occasional fumbling on words, voice constricted in the too tight airways. But not tonight. Tonight Ignacio let himself get near, pliant under his hands, the weight of his body leaning against Lalo's chest.

"Don't worry. Let's get you something to eat."

Lalo fed the frightened creature. He reassured it. He liked to have it so near to him after all this time waiting. He would have never made the first step. He needed the snake to come out of its hiding place by itself. That smart little thing couldn't be tamed.

As he looked at its sleeping form, lulled by the safeness offered, Lalo couldn't shake away the feeling that Ignacio somehow belonged there.

He slowly went in motion, circling the bed until he reached the side where Ignacio rested.

One of his hand raised in the air. His finger stopped itself from making contact with the throat left bare to see and touch. Lalo observed, just under his index, how the skin moved right where the blood was pumping. He drew an invisible line with his finger, his hand still only touching air, and he could see it. The thin red line, perfect, following every curves, and then the blood running out in a macabre cascade.

The thrill didn't crossed his body. It usually did. But not this time.

Lalo let his arm coming to rest back along his side. Ignacio was still asleep. Laying there. No blood. A perfect vision by its mere living existence, even in the inactivity of sleep.

The sound of his soft breath should disturb him. It didn't. There would be no blood leaking from this body.

How curious.

Lalo wanted him here.
