Soft Spot(s)

Summary:

Lego Spider-Man finds out that Miguel has a soft spot, what he doesn't know it that it's not the only one, and one of Miguel's soft spots is the Lego Spider-Man

Notes:

It took me a Spider-Man movie with a vampire and a Lego man in a relationship (and broken computer and a silly thought about it being slightly inappropriate to write during some serious situation I'll be in some time) to finally write something after a write block. I'm still struggling with it tho but it's not as bad as it was before lol

Work Text:

After a tough battle, Peter managed to capture the anomaly that entered his universe. He looked back at the Lego city behind him, most of it was in ruins. He sighed and activated his multi-dimensional communication device.

"Miguel there was another anomaly in my dimension, I'm going to deliver it to get scanned right now." Peter informed him about the beast that attacked his city.

"Peter, As always you're the best." Miguel responded, before hanging up the call. He a bit impatiently waited for his best agent to return to Spider-people headquarters.

Within a few minutes Lego Spider-Man went through the portal with the captured anomaly to the main room in the Spider-network as well as the anomaly he caught.

Miguel turned back from his monitors and looked at Lego Spider-Man, and then his gaze turned towards the anomaly the Lego man was talking about. Spider-Man 2099 took a closer look at what was captured.

It was a cat.

Without having second thoughts Miguel crouched down and opened the cage and let the cat go towards the hand he offered the cat to sniff. The animal hesitantly moved forward and sniffed Miguel hand, the cat rubbed its face against his extender palm. A purring of the cat back a bit louder as the cat flopped on it's back asking to be petted. Miguel's expression softened at that request which he immediately fulfilled.

"Miguel, do you happen to have a soft spot for cats?" Lego Spider-Man asked after few seconds passed, at the same time he tried to not let out a chuckle in a light-hearted manner. He was simply surprised but in a positive way that Miguel had a soft spot and now he was the only person who knew it.

Just when it was pointed out Spider-Man 2099 stood back up and turned his gaze away, avoiding Lego Spider-Man and the cat who happened to be the anomaly in the Lego universe. He cleared his throat to ease his sudden wave of nervousness. Lego Spider-Man knew it was his queue to leave; he left the anomaly to be moved away with the others.

"Peter…" Miguel started as Lego Spider-Man walked away from his view but could still hear his plastic footsteps on the floor from behind. "Don't speak to anyone about this."

"I won't. You have my word." Lego answered truthfully, as he wanted this memory to last only between the two of them.

They both stayed silent and just after a few seconds Miguel added in a slightly softer tone. "Thank you Peter, you are the best pe- spider-person anyone could ask for." A small genuine smile inevitably appeared on his face as he admitted that.
