Work Text:
Wednesday's not sure how much Joey's still watching the movie. He's been leaning into him more and more, laying his head on his shoulder, playing with the loose threads where he just busted the knee of his jeans today. Joey's mustache tickles when he kisses his neck, and Wednesday smiles, but keeps his eyes on the screen. He watches movies to watch them, and Joey knows that.
Joey huffs and gets up. "You're gonna make an injured, decrepit, old man get up and pause the movie." Wednesday can hear the grin in his voice, and doesn't bring up which one of them lost the remote.
"Boo hoo, you injured your shoulder."
"Because you don't know how to throw a football."
Wednesday had thrown it pretty bad off to the side, and watched Joey realize after one step that he couldn't get there fast enough, and dive for it instead.
"Your hair looked so fuckin' cool."
Joey presses pause and heads back to the couch.
Wednesday shrugs. "You know, I wanted to keep watching the movie, so you never had to get up anyway."
Joey sighs and sits sideways across Wednesday's lap, with his arm around his shoulders. "You've seen it a hundred times."
Wednesday tucks Joey's hair behind his ear and smiles. "I've seen you more."
"Well, now you've gotta pay attention to your poor husband, whether you like it or not."
Wednesday cups Joey's cheek. "You're a goddamn cat."
"If the cats figure out how to pause the TV, we're so fucked."
Wednesday's laugh is cut short by Joey kissing him.
