Prompt: b gets locked out of their house while their family is gone, so they spend the night at a's place.
Can I stay at your place...?
“Tzuyu-ah! Dahyun unnie! Anyone there?!” Chaeyoung calls out for anyone after realizing their door was locked.
She tries peeking through the door but sees nothing. She instead sees a small post-it note on the floor.
Received a call from manager unnie. Had to rush down to the studio.

“Great!” Chaeyoung audibly exclaimed after she realized that no one was home.
She quickly fishes out her phone from her bag and dials Dahyun.
“I just got home! Did you leave a key?”
“Oh! I think the key should be under the mat!”
Chaeyoung quickly crouches down and unravels their welcome rug to find…
“There’s nothing here!”
“WHAT!? I swear I left the key there before!”
“That was before! You didn’t check it before you left the place?”
“Ehe…”
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN ‘Ehe…’ ?!”
“Sorry, Chaeyoung-ah.”
“Whatever, I’ll just crash at someone else’s place.”
“I’ll make it up to you!”
“You better,” Chaeyoung sneers and drops the call. She takes a few seconds to recollect herself and tries thinking of where she’d be spending the night.
She contemplates contacting the other members, but just assumes they would be asleep. So she plops down and leans against the door sighing.
She spends the next few minutes scrolling and lurking on twitter. Searching for her name on the app and seeing the results.
While watching a twice video on youtube, a notification pops up.
Minguin sent a photo
“Mina unnie? Why is she awake? It’s-” Chaeyoung quickly glances at the clock on her phone, “1:26 in the morning…”
“It’s 1:26 in the morning…” She repeats as the fact dawns on her. “I need someplace to sleep…” She looks back at her phone, “Maybe I can ask Mina unnie…”
Chaeyoung messages Mina privately. At first their conversation started because Mina was surprised that Chaeyoung was still awake. Which turned to Chaeyoung explaining to Mina about the whole ‘Dahyun & Tzuyu leaving no key’.
“So… Mina unnie… Can I stay at your place…?”
“Of course you can! You should have messaged me the moment you realized you were locked out!” Mina’s pleasant voice came through the receiver
“I assumed you all were asleep, so I didn’t even try…”
“Fair enough… Anyway! Get your butt out of that place and come over! Just be careful when entering, Jihyo’s already asleep!”
Chaeyoung picked herself up and started heading to Mina’s shared dorm.
When she reached the door, she tentatively - and quietly - knocked. And after hearing some shuffling inside, the door opens to a beautiful Mina clad in her penguin pajamas.
“Thank you for letting me stay, unnie,” Chaeyoung took off her shoes.
“It’s no problem. I’m assuming you haven’t showered yet,” Chaeyoung purses her lips, “So I prepared a towel in the shower for you. I’ll get you some clothes to change into as well.” Mina peacefully informs Chaeyoung.
Chaeyoung hops into the shower and starts bathing. A few quiet knocks were heard and a door opening. Chaeyoung concludes that that was Mina leaving her clothes.
After drying herself off, she changes into the clothes that Mina had given her and she takes a moment to look at herself in the mirror.
Of course it's a penguin pajama .
After maybe a beat or two, she finally gets out of the bathroom and searches for Mina.
She finds her near the window with a penguin blanket draped over her legs. It was raining and Chaeyoung knew she liked the rain.
“Hi, Mina unnie,” Mina jumps a little by the sudden intrusion, “thank you again for letting me stay here.”
“You’re welcome anytime, Chaeyoung-ah,” Mina brings her legs closer and wraps her arms around herself.
“Aren’t you tired?”
“Not really… I slept a little on the ride back here, but the rain sounds are making me a bit drowsy. Maybe that’s why I’m staying near the window.”
“Can I sit next to you?” Chaeyoung boldly asks.
“Sure,” Mina scoots over a little, creating enough space for Chaeyoung. Once Chaeyoung was beside Mina, she threw her blanket over both their legs now, preserving any heat that they radiated. They both slowly drifted to sleep in each other's arms, listening to the pitter patter of the rain outside.
The sound of birds chirping slowly rose Chaeyoung up. Her eyes were greeted by the brightness of day beaming in through the window. She squints for the first few seconds before finally opening her eyes. She thought about how she felt a little bit of back pain and warmth… A lot of warmth…
“Hm?” A voice came from beside Chaeyoung. She looks over and sees Mina just waking up from her slumber.
“Mina unnie!” Chaeyoung quickly got up, feeling a bit dizzy by the abrupt motion. “I’m sorry!”
“What are you apologizing for?” Mina’s morning voice came as groggy as you would expect.
“I… don’t know…”
“You two finally awake?” Jihyo’s voice came booming from the kitchen. “Hi, Chaeyoungie! Dahyun told me about how she forgot to leave a key. She told me last night.”
“Last night…? But that was around midnight!” Chaeyoung fixes her hair and walks to the kitchen.
“I know. I heard you come in last night.” She adds nonchalantly.
“Bu- But… I- We thought you were asleep…?” Chaeyoung stammers.
“Hehe…” Jihyo laughs evilly and continues preparing the food.
“Where’s Sana?” Mina finally speaks up.
“She had an early schedule today. Speaking of which. Manager unnie sent a schedule in the group chat. I suggest looking at it now.” Jihyo places the eggs on a plate and scoops three bowls of rice.
They eat in silence as both Mina and Chaeyoung were busy reading over the sent material.
Chaeyoung saw that she was required at the studio by 11am. It was currently 8:30am, so she still had time to go back to her place to wash up and change.
She excuses herself after eating breakfast and heads straight home. Luckily either Tzuyu, or Dahyun, or both, had gotten home in the early hours of the morning. It took her a few knocks before Tzuyu finally opened the door.
"Hello there, penguin!" Tzuyu greets the still clad in pajamas, Chaeyoung. "Whose are they?" She asks rhetorically with a smirk on her face.
"Shut it. Let me in. I'm gonna give Dubu a good smack," Tzuyu moves and opens the door wide enough for Chaeyoung to come in and stretch her arm.
"Chaeyoung-ah!!" Dahyun comes out of her bedroom. "I'm so sorry!!" She pleads as she clasps her hands together in front of Chaeyoung.
They talk for a while and eventually Chaeyoung changes out of the pajamas and hops into the shower.
"Bro! Can I come in and brush my teeth?" Dahyun's muffled voice came from the other side of the door.
After hearing a reply from Chaeyoung, Dahyun goes in and starts brushing her teeth.
She gags multiple times and Chaeyoung just lets out a, "Unnie! Can you brush your teeth normally?! Why do you sound like an old man!"
Silence takes over them save for the sound of running water in the shower. They blink a few times before they burst out laughing.
Chaeyoung was finally ready to go out. She applied light make-up and went out. Walking to the parking lot where the company's van had been parked.
She felt her phone vibrate in her pocket and she fishes it out.
One (1) unread message from 'Mina unnie💚💚'
She unlocks her phone and silently reads the message.
I hope you slept well, Chaeyoungie. If ever you get locked out again, just message me.
You're always welcome to come in and sleep over here.
(P.S. You can keep my penguin pajamas. I have more of those anyway.)
Chaeyoung smiles at the last part, whispering to herself, "I wasn't planning on returning them anyway…"
