Chapter Text
When most people say they're ready to jump into something new they don't mean it literally. Unfortunately for Peter he wasn't like most people and he did mean it literally.
Incase you didn't know Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive Spider granting him powers and responsibility. That meant literally jumping off of a building to begin his day. Swinging around New York searching for crime. So everyday at 5 am an angry New Yorker got up, put on a costume, and dealt with other New Yorkers who would be rude to him if he didn't save their lives. He knew that for a fact because he spent his entire life in New York mainly as Peter Parker the guy not saving lives. Thats why when he knocked into a large man and spilled hot coffee on his back he really expected to get yelled at. Wade never followed expectations though did he?
10 am on a fucking Monday thanks to "Parker-Luck" he ran straight into Wade. His freshly made pure black coffee gone just like that. Not only that an angry New Yorker now on his hands. Fuck.
"Shit I'm so sorry!" He attempted to dab up the hot drink. The man turned around. He was as big as a fucking truck. Ive fought mutants smaller than him.
"I don't mind cutie. You can spill anything on me anytime, if you catch my drift." He winked at Peter. Weird.
He laughed trying to seem more comfortable than he was. Thanks to Peters luck it came out just as he felt. Awkward.
" Damn baby boy you ruined my hoodie, just got this one too." He took a napkin brushing the timid mans hands when he grabbed it.
"I can pay for it." Peter did not make enough money a month to offer to pay for this seemingly expensive hoodie.
"I'll do you one better, let me take you to get more coffee."
"Why would I do that? I just spilled coffee on you not the other way around?" He raised an eyebrow. Hey, at least he wasn't pissed.
"Well either its you let me buy you coffee or you pay for my 1,000 dollar sweater." Wade continued but Peter could smell the bluff coming off him.
"Deal."
Peter was now rummaging through his closet trying to find something decent on his-date-not-date with the guy he spilled coffee all over. His name was Wade Wilson. Deadpool. Peter always knew who Deadpool was but he had never seen his face for himself. It was rumored he was hideous and grossly disfigured but Peter could confirm he was actually attractive, at least to him. So yeah here he was.
He settled on a collard shirt with a green sweater thrown over it with a pair of black pants to tie it all together. He left his curly hair to air dry and left his way-too-small apartment. Peter hopped on the train to meet this man he had just met. He walked his way to the coffee shop that was more of a bakery than it was a Cafe. It was a green and brown themed cafe with a cat as the logo, a tacky bright yellow sign in the window stating it they had the best cakes in the city. They did. Thats what drew Peter in and probably Wade too
He walked in and scanned the room for the large man and was incredibly disappointed when he didn't see him.
Stood up again.
He should have known that it would happen like this. It always did. Ever since he was young people asked him out as a joke, he just wasn't as used to it since it happened way less and he got older.Well shit. As soon as Peter decided to leave his "date" entered the cafe. He felt his shoulders drop, unaware they were tense.
"Hey Petey. Sorry I'm late I had to drop my daughter off." He smiled showing off his impossibly straight and white teeth. Peter wished his teeth were that straight, instead he had adult braces. Super Powers didn't fix his teeth, unfortunately.
"Oh um hi Wade." He smiled back. Hoping he didn't notice that Peter was leaving when he walked in.
The pair sat down. He didn't notice until after they sat down that wade had glitter all over his white shirt and unzipped black sweater There was marker on his grey pants and white shoes. He really was dropping off his daughter from the looks of it. It reminded Peter of his own daughter Mayday.
"I have a kid too, a daughter."
"How old is she? Mines 6."
"Mines 3. She's a handful but the best daughter in the world."
"I doubt that because my daughter is the best in the world."
"No way your daughter is the best in the world, Mayday takes that title."
"Oh Yeah?"
"Yeah!"
They paused for a moment. Staring directly into each others eyes. A dad to dad stare down. This was not Peters first and it certainly would not be his last. He really didn't want to lose but something about staring at Wade made him feel...different. He wanted to laugh mainly but something about Wades gorgeously blue eyes. He wasn't the first to laugh though. It was Wade. He chuckled and looked away which Peter did too.
"Your'e so Cute baby boy."
With those words the anxiety Peter had left melted away.
