"Hold my hand, brother!" Acronix yelled. "Don't let go!"
Krux clung desperately to Acronix's hand as the two traveled through the tumultuous vortex of time.
After the battle against Wu and Garmadon ended in defeat, the Spinjitzu brothers drained their elemental powers with their blades and sent them into a self-created vortex where they would be lost forever.
But the twins decided to follow the time blades and are now hurtling through time, unsure of where and when they will arrive.
Krux felt his strength draining away. The time vortex was too strong. He wouldn't be able to hold on much longer. "Acronix!" Krux shouted. Panic flickered in his younger brother's eyes as he understood. "Hold on! We can do it!"
Krux looked hopelessly into his brother's eyes before he was ripped away from him and fell into the depths.
"KRUX! NO!" Acronix yelled in horror.
Krux woke up with a choked scream and sat bolt upright in his bed. Frightened, he looked around until he realized that he had only dreamed. He took a deep breath. A nightmare. And it was always the same.
Acronix's voice was still ringing in his ears. Fearful and painful. Krux sighed and rubbed his face with his hand. "You old fool..." he growled to himself. "Pull yourself together."
As he had somewhat recovered from the shock, he got up and went into the kitchen. He was far too stirred up to go back to sleep, so he made himself some tea.
Lost in thought, he stared out the window while sipping his cup. Almost forty years had passed since he hid in this museum, pretendig to be the friendly Dr. Sander Saunders, and waited for his brother's return.
Four decades all alone without his twin brother who was his only family. The pain was unbearable. It was like someone had ripped half of his heart from him. He felt incomplete.
Ever since they were little, they have always been together, inseparable. An unbeatable team. Who would have thought that this would change so quickly? That his greatest fear would come true: losing his brother.
Krux quickly wiped the tears from his eyes, as if afraid someone would see it. There was no room for weakness. He had shed enough tears already. He had to be patient. The time would come soon. And then, together with his brother, he will take revenge on Wu for everything he did to them.
He will perish, and with him these unbearable ninja.
