It’s been a long flight but Yuta is finally back in Korea. He has zero schedules for the remainder of the week but the week after he’ll start recording and filming for nyt1. His first solo project, to say he’s excited is an understatement he is over the moon when his manager told him because not only will he be getting a solo but he gets to pick the concept.
Yuta chose to do a jrock-inspired concept because he always wanted to try scream-singing. This meant Yuta needed to stay in Japan for a couple more months to learn and train his voice. The downside to that is that his needy and sulky baby Jaehyun misses him more and more as each day passes. Every morning, afternoon, and evening Jaehyun sends a text to check up on Yuta. Yuta thinks it’s adorable because even after 7 years Jaehyun is still his sweet baby.
Yuta told Jaehyun what time he would be out and at which gate as soon as he landed. Jaehyun canceled all his schedules for that day to pick up his darling, the apple of his eye if you will, because it’s been so long since he has seen his boyfriend. Jaehyun couldn’t last one more second without him.
On the day of Yuta’s arrival Jaehyun is nervous, to say the least, it’s been 5 long months without his love and they will finally be reunited. Jaehyun gets to the airport early and is wearing a disguise so people won’t recognize him and so far it’s working. His manager is outside waiting in the van. As he waits he passes the time by going on TikTok and he sees edits of Yuta to say Jaehyun was mesmerized would be an understatement. He was in a dream looking at the edit and wondering how he got so lucky. He was in his little daydream until he heard loud footsteps, screams and cameras flickering. There he was the most gorgeous man Jaehyun had ever seen. He was no longer behind a phone screen, he was now in front of him.
As Yuta finished getting his luggage and walking to the exit, he was wondering if Jaehyun was there waiting for him. He felt a sense of fear that Jaehyun wouldn't be there because he was too busy, it would hurt but Yuta would understand. Just as he was thinking the worst, all those fears washed away because there was his baby, his love among all these fans and reporters. There was one person that stood out and that was his lover, dressed in all black but he was wearing something so recognizable, Yuta could spot him from a mile away. It was a sweater that Yuta had gifted Jaehyun for his birthday before he left for Japan.
At that moment everyone and everything didn’t matter. All he wanted to do was cuddle and sleep with his love. Yuta didn’t know what got into him but he sprinted towards Jaehyun, and Jaehyun sprinted towards him. Yuta dropped his luggage to hug Jaehyun but Jaehyun had other plans he picked up Yuta and spun him around like he was Cinderella. This lasted 10 seconds before Jaehyun lowered him and both were looking into each other’s eyes, they knew what was going to happen they leaned in for a kiss after 5 long months, both felt like crying because of this moment.
Both Yuta and Jaehyun were lost in their daydreams until they were dragged back into reality when they heard gasps and they came from fans and reporters. Jaehyun's instincts responded first and his first instinct was to pick up Yuta with one arm and carry Yuta’s luggage with the other. Yuta let out a loud gasp but quickly realized why Jaehyun had picked him up. People were starting to follow them but because Jaehyun was having an adrenaline boost he ran so fast that they reached their manager's van in 3 minutes. Jaehyun was telling their manager to open the doors fast and go as fast as possible when they got in.
Yuta and Jaehyun were sitting in the backseat of the van. Yuta’s backpack, carry-on, and luggage, all safely stored in the trunk. As time passed everything settled in Yuta’s brain as Yuta thought about it more he felt like he was a protagonist in a cliché love story where the main leads run away together and leave their toxic families. With that thought alone it made Yuta feel fuzzy because dating Jaehyun feels like a dream the way he treats him, the way he touched him softly and lovingly, and Jaehyun looks at him like he was a precious fragile diamond.
The ride back to the dorms was a pretty long one, both Jaehyun and Yuta weren’t talking but stealing glances at each other. After a couple of minutes of stealing glances, Yuta was tired and silently intertwined his hand with Jaehyun. Jaehyun wasn’t expecting this and his ears turned a light shade of pink. Yuta giggled and moves his face close to Jaehyun’s ear and starts to whisper sweet, sweet compliments “You were really brave you know-lifting me and spinning me like I’m some kind of princess” Yuta sheepishly says. “Well you are a princess you are beautiful-wait scratch that you're even better than one, you’re ethereal” Jaehyun said in a serious tone which caused Yuta to blush a light shade of pink because Jaehyun was being serious about him being even more beautiful than a princess. After a slight pause, Yuta spoke again “Well if that’s the case then you're my knight and shining armor the way you carried me all the way to the van in one arm. It made me think we were forbidden lovers running away to be together.”
Jaehyun let out a chuckle “Forbidden lovers huh, isn’t that a funny thought”. Yuta looks at him puzzled “Why is it funny” Jaehyun responded with his stupid smile and his stupid (but adorable) dimples “I think it’s funny because if that were to happen I would without a doubt run away with you, and run away to maybe America so we could get married and have kids”.
At that moment Yuta froze his brain is working overtime to process the words Jaehyun had just said ‘Wait for marriage, Jaehyun wants to marry me, WAIT KIDS Jaehyun wants to have kids with me’ Yuta thought and was thinking of what to say before he responds shyly “you want to get married to me and have kids''. Jaehyun lets out a loud laugh even shocking the manager who was driving. “Of course I want to marry you, Yuyu, you're the only one for me. I already planned out how I’m gonna ask you, first I’ll take you to Japan during March or April for a month-long trip and travel all across Japan. We’ll visit your parents and convince them that I’m the perfect man for you. We’ll go to Disney land and universal studios, maybe go to a hot spring. Then on our 3rd week of the vacation I’ll take you to see the cherry blossoms, and when we get to the cherry blossom trees on top of a hill there will be a picnic setup already there and we’ll have lunch and we’ll talk, laugh, Kiss. After the lunch we’ll lay down and cuddle and talk some more but when we’re about to leave I will stop you then I’ll get down on one knee and take out a ring. That's when I will profess my undying love for you”
“Then what?” Yuta said and his face now red as a tomato. “Well that’s your choice to make, you accept or reject me,” Jaehyun said with a small smile. “You’re so stupid Jae I would be an idiot to reject you. I would love to spend the rest of my life with you, you are so perfect for me like you’re literally made for me,” Yuta said with a wide smile showing his perfect teeth. It was now Jaehyun’s turn to blush, before Jaehyun could respond, their manager let out a loud cough as a way to tell them that they had arrived. Yuta and Jaehyun must have forgotten that they weren’t alone and both turned a light shade of pink and let out apologies to their poor manager who had to be in the crossfires of their PDA and marriage talk. As they left the van and went to the trunk to get Yuta's luggage they heard their manager say “ah young love” and that small comment made the couple feel more relaxed and said thank you to their manager who drove them to their dorms
“Hey Jae” Yuta said quietly “yeah yuyu what’s wrong” Jaehyun asked concerned wondering if Yuta was uncomfortable with the whole marriage talk “when we do get married where will be” Yuta asked and his eyes got all big and sparkly like big tapioca pearls, Jaehyun chuckles and says “I was thinking America more specifically California because gay marriage is legal and more flexible and we won’t be judged, we could have a beach wedding or we could get married at a cathedral that’d be cool too but we’ll plan it together so you’ll have a say on it too” Yuta laughs and says “yeah that’s a great idea I was also wondering what about kids it’s impossible to adopt kids as a gay couple” Jaehyun takes a bit to respond but after short thinking and response nonchalantly “I was thinking permanently moving to America after we retire and after I enlist so if we move we’d be financially stable and have no worries, maybe we could open a dance school and we’d be teachers to earn money on side and every summer we could go back to Korea or Japan for a vacation with our kid so they could experience both of their dads cultures plus it’d be easier to adopt a kid in America and I’m already fluent in English so it won’t be a challenge”
By this time they were already in the elevator and by this point, Yuta was ready to cry because how did he have someone like Jaehyun as his boyfriend, a boyfriend who was willing to drop everything and move to another country to get married to him and adopt a child with him.
Jaehyun notices this and looks frantic “yuyu is something wrong why are you about to cry” and the flood gates just open “Nothing is wrong Jae I’m just so happy, so happy to have someone like you so happy that I was able to meet you, so happy to call you the love of my life, so happy that one day we’ll life in house in a good neighborhood with a 2 kids and rapu~Chan, so happy that one day you’ll come back home from work and dinner will already be ready, and our kids will run to you fighting for your attention and rapu~Chan will be wagging her tail begging you to pick her up but the real winner will be me and you’ll kiss me and the kids would be disgusted and say “ew daddy stop kissing papa it’s nasty” but we’ll playfully scolded them, then we’ll eat dinner and talk about our day, then at night you’ll help wash the dishes while I’ll be helping the kids go to bed and after we’ll make love under the moonlight and after we’ll cuddle and talk about life until 4:00 am but it’s ok because the next day is your day off so we go to sleep until 5:00am. I’m so happy thinking about our future, it will be hard but we’ll be each other's anchors and we’ll get through it together”
Yuta finished no longer crying but instead having the widest smile ever but now it was Jaehyun's turn to cry while saying “Oh Yuta I love you so much, I’m glad I’m able to make you so happy even if our dream of getting married and having kids may not happen until we’re in our mid to late ’30s and after I enlist, I promise it’ll be worth the wait I promise I’ll fulfill every last one of your wishes I promise we’ll have a white picket fence house with a pool large enough to fit all the nct members and two kids and rapu~Chan dressed in her cute dresses running around the house chasing our kids. I promise-no I guarantee that will happen because that’s what a good husband does” By the end of Jaehyun’s speech both are ugly crying saying how much they love each other those happy tears soon turn into sad tears because Yuta says “Oh Jaehyun I love you so much how will I function without you for a year and a half when you enlist” that’s when Jaehyun says “hey, hey yuyu please don’t cry let’s forget about my enlistment that won’t happen for another 3 years ok so don’t cry any more honey, only happy tears from now on ok, only think about the present ok yuyu no more sad tears only happy ones ok” and Yuta nods while still crying,
who knew 5 months apart causes them to act this way by this time the elevator doors open to the 10th floor and Yuta and Jaehyun leave the elevator while holding hands with smiles on their face instead of tears. When they enter the dorm they see no one which wasn’t rare but kinda odd but that meant more alone time. “Hey Yuyu” Jaehyun called out “Yeah Jae” Yuta turned around but that’s when Jaehyun held his face and started to Kiss his red and swollen eyes “No more crying ok” Yuta with a small pink blush responded “Of course only happy ones right” now it was Yuta's turn to kiss Jaehyun’s red and swollen eyes, Jaehyun was now laughing because it tickled he stopped Yuta by saying “let’s unpack now Yuyu, so we could order dinner early and we could watch your drama while we eat takeout in your room, and you could tell me all about your adventures Filming the drama” Yuta giggles and responded “yeah that’s sounds really nice”
They finish unpacking Yuta’s luggage and put everything back into place, by the time they finish unpacking their takeout had arrived, the takeout they ordered is the same one they’ve been getting since they were trainees, the reason why they always ordered this takeout when they were trainees was that it was cheap, contained a lot of food in it, lasted for days, and leaves you feeling fulfilled.
“Yuyu the food is here” Jaehyun yelled out, “yes Jae I’ll be there I’m almost done setting up the projector”.
To this day the best investment Yuta has ever made was buying a mini projector. That mini projector made movie nights way better and more romantic. Instead of watching a movie on a limited screen, they could watch it on the ceiling or on the wall which makes it look like a movie theater.
When Yuta left his room to get his take out he saw it was already set up on a fancy plate which they rarely use and two wine glasses filled with Yuta’s favorite wine, he then realizes something “Hey Jae” asks kinda puzzled “yes yu is there something wrong” Jaehyun responded while he was setting up his takeout plate. “I never told you my takeout order, how did you get it right” Jaehyun chuckles at this “Yuyu, of course, I know your takeout order I’d be a bad boyfriend if I didn’t, I always see you with the same order from that place, so you didn’t have to tell me I already knew”
This is the reason why Yuta and Jaehyun, Jaehyun, pay attention to the smallest details.
Yuta gets a flashback from around the middle of 2020 when he was complaining about his favorite cookies not being in stock to Mark, Jaehyun overheard the conversation, and being the best boyfriend in the world, he found out when the next shipment would arrive and waited outside the grocery store for an hour.
*flashback*
When Yuta woke up his boyfriend/sugar plum/cutie patootie was gone, fear instantly took over his body, however just as he was about to call 112 that’s when he heard the door to the dorm open.
There he was Jeong Jaehyun, in all his cute glory, carrying two bags full of his favorite chocolate chip cookies, Yuta didn’t care that there were two giant bags filled with his favorite cookies. All he cared about was his boyfriend being home, so as soon as he saw Jaehyun with his stupid smile Yuta ran to Jaehyun and tackled him, knocking both of them to the floor. Yuta on the verge of tears said “Where were you, I thought you left me and I-I was about to call the police i-i- was just s-s-so worried”. By this point, Yuta was crying.
During this time Yuta and Jaehyun's relationship was on the rocks because of their conflicting schedules and small arguments were about stupid things, by this point they started to get annoyed at each other for the smallest thing, but when Jaehyun wasn’t in bed Yuta was terrified he thought Jaehyun has had enough of him and left him, even though Jaehyun couldn't move out because they lived in dorms, the initial shock made Yuta not think logically.
“Baby why are crying, I'm sorry I left so early I just needed to get somethin- wait why would you think I would leave you if anything you should be the one leaving me Im so-” Yuta cut off Jaehyun before he could say anything “Don’t even finish that sentence. You are the most perfect boyfriend anyone could ask for, you are kind, sweet, caring, pay attention to everything, you always do so much for me, and what do I do, I assume you’ll leave me…..Wow, I’m just realizing how much you do for me makes me realize how little I do for you, and how insecure I am I'm sorry you have a boyfriend like me you deserve much better…. You should ju-”
At that moment Jaehyun put his hand over Yuta’s mouth “Don't you dare FUCKING to say that last part Nakamoto Yuta” This was the first Jaehyun ever shouted “Yuta you have done so much for me and you never realize it, you always pick me up after practice, cook me breakfast and dinner, you always comfort me whenever I have a rough day, you know when I have a mood change, you know how to make me feel better and so you do so much for me, don’t ever say that again ok yuyu” Jaehyun said while kissing Yuta's red swollen eyes
Yuta is full-on sobbing now “ok Jaehyun I promise I won’t ever say that again” By this point both of them were still on the floor holding each other forgetting about the 2 big bags filled with chocolate chip cookies until Yuta felt something plastic poke at him “Jae what is that?”
Ah right, the cookies, the cookies that were supposed to bring Yuta happiness but instead brought him sadness “Oh right, the reason I left early was that I remembered hearing you complain to Mark about your favorite cookies being sold out, so I called the supermarket every day until they had a new batch coming, and I waited outside before opening to get them for you. So I got you 2 bags full of them so you wouldn’t be hungry for them anymore.'' Jaehyun's ears were now pink after confessing why he was gone in the morning.
Yuta’s eyes began to heat up again, for many reasons now but the biggest reason why was because, how did he get so lucky, how was he able to get such a perfect boyfriend like Jaehyun who always listens to him talking even when it’s not directed towards him. “Wow Jaehyun, you love me huh”
“Of course i love you yuyu i will always love you, and the reason why is because i’d be a pretty bad boyfriend if i didn’t get the food by baby was craving” Jaehyun was giggling but Yuta got sad again because Jaehyun being a ‘bad boyfriend’ is a joke when Jaehyun is the perfect boyfriend if anything it’s Yuta who the bad boyfriend, but just before Yuta was going to argue what Jaehyun said, Jaehyun grabbed his head and started to kiss his face “Don’t” *kiss on the forehead* “even” *kiss on the left eye* “think” *kiss on the right eye* “about” *kiss on the left cheek* “saying”*kiss on the right cheek* “you” *kiss on the nose* “are” *kiss on the right ear* “a” *kiss on the left ear* “bad” *kiss on the jawline* “boyfriend ”*kiss on the chin* “you” *kiss on the collarbone* “are” *kiss on the right hand* “the” *kiss on the left hand* “greatest” *kiss on the hairline* “thing” *kiss on the eyebrow* “that” *kiss on the eyelashes* “ever” *kiss on the neck* “happened” *kiss on his hair* “to me” *kiss on the lips* after jaehyun said this he started to pepper Yuta’s face his pecks and kisses until Yuta is giggling “Jae stop”
“I won't stop until you say you're the perfect boyfriend too,” Jaehyun said while whispering into Yuta’s ear, this caused Yuta to blush “I am the perfect boyfriend for you,” Yuta said shyly while covering his face “I can’t hear you” Jaehyun shouted all happy “ “I am the perfect boyfriend for you,” Yuta said louder “I can’t hear you” Jaehyun shouted louder “I am the perfect boyfriend for you!!!!!!!!” Yuta screamed as loud as he could. Before Jaehyun could respond they heard a shout
“SHUT UP IT’S 8:00 AM” Johnny had shouted “YEAH SOME OF USE WANT TO SLEEP” Jungwoo followed after
Jaehyun laughs out loud and says “Well I think we should get going now, I think we got a bit too rowdy” Before Yuta could even respond Jaehyun lifted his body and started to carry him with one arm and the bag of cookies in the other “JAEH-” Yuta was cut off with a kiss “let's be quiet for right now ok baby” Yuta just nods and shyly hides his head on Jaehyun's neck
The short walk to their room was quiet when the door closed Jaehyun had locked the door as well, which caused Yuta to get nervous because what is Jaehyun going to do to him before Yuta’s thoughts could get any worse Jaehyun spoke up “Let's eat some cookies, I bought milk
Too” Jaehyun brought out a gallon of milk before Yuta could ask where they are going to drink the milk Jaehyun spoke up “Before you say anything I bought plastic cups as well”
Jaehyun and Yuta were eating the cookies silently until Jaehyun spoke up “We should talk” Those three words were the ones that Yuta dreaded the most which means that Jaehyun is going to break up with him he started to mentally prepare himself but we couldn’t his eyes started to feel hot until Jaehyun spoke up again “I don’t mean it in an ‘i want to break up’ type of way, I mean it in an I want to improve our relationship, I want to make this last forever and the only way to do that is to talk and let out all of our feelings to each other and be honest with each other”.
Even though Jaehyun was younger, during times like these Yuta felt like Jaehyun was older and Yuta felt embarrassed because he was supposed to be the older one but here he is getting emotional and his younger boyfriend having to comfort him, it’s supposed to be the other way around. Yuta must’ve had a sad facial expression because Jaehyun talked spoke up “Angel why are you sad, tell me why and I’ll try my best to help you, but the only I can help is if you tell me my love” Just with those words all of Yuta’s walls crumbled, the floodgate of tears opened again and just with those words Yuta let everything out how insecure he feels, how he feels like a failure of a boyfriend. One thing Yuta loves about Jaehyun is that he listens not once did Jaehyun cut him off instead Jaehyun listened to all of Yuta’s worries and only spoke up when Yuta finished
“Oh Yukkuri, why did you keep this away from me, but it’s ok now I will make feel like the most important person ever, you will never feel that way ever again, ok my love, if you ever feel like that again tell me, Because I don’t want you to be sad and cry. The only time I want you to cry is from happiness and pleasu-” Before Jaehyun could finish the last word Yuta smacked him but it’s ok Jaehyun’s angel is now feeling so much better.
Jaehyun was able to share his feelings with much more ease but Jaehyun still cried while sharing how he felt, how he also felt insecure because he was younger and thought that Yuta could do better with someone the same age as him, the jealousy he felt whenever he saw Yuta and mark interact, by the end both men were crying again comforting each other but both felt better than before. “So what are gonna do with all these cookie boxes,” asked Jaehyun after holding Yuta for 5 minutes “We should keep them here so we have a snack while we watch movies while cuddling,” Yuta said smiling “That's a good idea, my love,” Jaehyun said before kissing Yuta’s head. “Yeah, it’s a good idea, let's stay like this forever” Yuta quietly said before slowly falling asleep. “Yeah forever,” Jaehyun said before falling asleep as well
*end of flashback*
Going back to the present, Yuta always remembers how if it wasn’t for his craving for those cookies; the trajectory of his relationship would have been different because after that day both Yuta and Jaehyun were more open with each other and communicated more than ever. Even after a fight, they always made sure to kiss each other at least once to let each other know that they need space – and that they love each other.
“Honey what are you thinking about, you've been frozen there for quite a while now, everything fine” At that moment Yuta snapped out of his flashback because of Jaehyun’s sweet voice and pulled Yuta into a hug “I’m fine Jae I was just thinking about the cookie incident and remembering how lucky I am to have a sweet, kind and caring boyfriend”.
After that day everyone including Yuta and Jaehyun refers to that day as the cookie incident. “Ahhh the cookie incident, why are you remembering that day? I'm very lucky to have a considerate, supportive, hot, sexy boyfriend as well.” Yuta laughed “I'm no longer cute, I'm just sexy and hot now?” asked Yuta all teasingly “You are still the cutest person ever I love how your tapioca eyes light up whenever something exciting happens it’s watching a cat, and yes you are sexy, I still remember when I saw your navel piercing” that moment Jaehyun started to touch said navel piercing under Yuta’s shirt “and I love your tattoos, the butterfly and I love the placement of your tattoos too, I find it hot how they’re placed on your hips” Jaehyun was now touching Yuta’s hips and slipped his hand under his pants and touching Yuta’s tattoos. There was one thing that changed about Jaehyun after the cookie incident, Jaehyun got bolder, he is now bolder with his words and action for example right now if Yuta didn’t stop Jaehyun now they would end up on the couch doing non-pg-13 things, and usually Yuta would be down for that but right now he just wants to cuddle his boyfriend after months
“Jae stop, not right now,” Yuta said in a whisper on the verge of a moan but Jaehyun didn’t hear and continued to touch him before Yuta spoke out again “Jae the food gonna get cold, let's stop for now, we’ll continue later ok” As soon as Jaehyun heard this he let out a small whine but he let’s go of Yuta’s hips and puts his head in the crook of Yuta’s neck inhaling Yuta’s sweet scent “ok yuyu let’s eat and catch up,” Jaehyun said it in a cute whine, Yuta thought it was super cute that Jeong Jaehyun one of the hottest and sexiest members in nct is whining, this is a reminder to Yuta that no matter how hot and sexy Jaehyun is, he will always be his cute, whiny baby.
Yuta led Jaehyun into his room, he was excited to see how Jaehyun would react. Yuta had bought a heart-shaped light bulb that illuminates a light pink light, the reason why Yuta bought the light bulb was that it was trendy and because it would make their weekly movie nights even more romantic. Yuta also set up a futon on the floor and covered it with blankets, pillows, and plushies it looked like a cloud by the end, Yuta thinks he might’ve gone overboard with the pillows but that's alright because that just meant that they’ll be more comfortable while watching his drama and cuddling.
When Jaehyun entered Yuta’s room he expected the room to stay the same but when he entered he was amazed “Wow you went overboard with the plushies didn’t you, I like the lights, this looks like fairy tail” The couple made their way to to the futon and got comfortable.
Jaehyun had left the room momentarily because he forgot something. Yuta was left alone with his thoughts again and Yuta started to think about his future with Jaehyun. He knows when Jaehyun enlists it will be the hardest year and a half of his life but Yuta already knows that they will Facetime every time Jaehyun has access to his phone, yuta knows that he will drop everything to accept every Facetime. Yuta also thinks about how he will welcome Jaehyun back after his enlistment he knows that all the 127 members will pick him up but Yuta thinks about how he will celebrate with Jaehyun in private, they’ll probably celebrate with dinner at their favorite restaurant then they’ll go to a comedy show, then they’ll end off their celebration by making love and the city lights being their only source of light. A thought appears in Yuta’s mind as he wanders into a dirty place what can Jaehyun's military body do to him, the thought of his arms holding him, his abs being more prominent, and-. ‘I should probably stop,’ thought Yuta, but that imagination alone makes him blush.
Going back to more pg thoughts, Yuta imagines their wedding. He knows that they will get married after they retire/not be as active anymore. a silly thought comes to mind, what if he and Jaehyun get married 3 times, once in Korea for Jaehyun's family, once in Japan for Yuta’s family, and once in another country that accepts gay marriage like America and gets married on the beach or Mexico city and has their marriage in a cathedral. The reason why Yuta would get married a third time in a different country that accepts gay marriage is that Yuta and Jaehyun want to be legally bound.
A new thought comes to Yuta’s mind: if he takes Jaehyun’s last name, he’d then be Jeong Yuta. That thought alone makes him smile. A new thought comes to mind where will they move to because they want to have kids it’ll be impossible to adopt kids in Korea as a gay couple but it won’t be impossible if they move to America it’ll be so much easier and they would be accepted by the majority and able to be open in public, the only problem with moving to America is that none of them are U.S citizens but there is one option they have, since Johnny is a natural American citizen he could sponsor both yuta and Jaehyun could be U.S citizens in 6 months at least and a few years at the most. Jaehyun might get accepted faster because he has lived in America for 4 years so that might work in his favor but Yuta knows that he might have to renounce his Japanese citizenship, however, that won’t happen for a long time so he won’t worry about that for now.
He distracted himself from that thought with a new thought. Yuta is now thinking of his and Jaehyun's kids, they don’t care if they're adopted or born through surrogacy either way he’ll love his kids. ‘Hmm what if we have a two-story house, and the house has a backyard and a pool for the kids-’ That thought came to a close when Yuta saw Jaehyun carrying something.
“What are you caring Jae?” yuta asked puzzled
“Remember that small foldable coffee table, we had stored away”
“Yeah what about it”
“I just remembered, and I realized that it’d be easier for you to eat without having to worry about accidentally dropping your food. So I brought out the small foldable coffee table to make it easier to eat.” Jaehyun said while unfolding the coffee table
“Aww you're so sweet Jaehyun, you think about me that much '' yuta said trying to tease Jaehyun not expecting him to respond.
“Of course, you are always on my mind, whenever you're not here I always think ‘What if Yuta was here’ I always think about your pretty smile and your lips that are never chapped, your hands as well, but I don’t sexually think about them I think about them in ‘I want to hold your hand type way, oh and your nails I love how you paint them it makes you even cuter. I could go on for hours but we won’t have time for your that so I’ll tell you another day” Jaehyun answered unbothered and got back to placing the takeout on the coffee table.
Yuta’s jaw dropped. He was expecting Jaehyun to not respond and laugh but instead, he got a whole love confession. The only thing Yuta could do now is to hide his face in the blankets and blush “I feel like I'm 19 again when I first confessed to you” Yuta paused before he continued “Jae, did you think about me during your dojaejung debut” Yuta asked shyly feeling embarrassed.
“I thought about you the whole time, I thought about you when recording the music video, and performing in the music shows, even when I went to Japan for djj and the Prada event the only person on my mind was you, I even bought all your magazines, Yuta I only want to say this once so listen ok” Yuta nodded
“Yuta you are the most important person in my life besides my parents, you are the person I will marry. I don’t know how long it’ll take but I will marry you, you are the love of my life, you are always there for me whenever I'm feeling down. Yukkuri you are my one in a billion you are practically made for me, YOU are my one and only. I love you Nakamoto Yuta or should I say soon to be in like 10 years Jeong Yuta”
Yuta didn’t know what to say Jaehyun was asking Yuta to marry him and Yuta would never reject the proposal. “We got lucky, we found our one a billion so early in life and now we get to be together forever. I love you so so so much Jae, and I can’t wait to be Jeong Yuta in the future”
Both Yuta and Jaehyun looked at each other eyes full of pure love and happiness and both knew what to do next.
They shared many kisses, it’s the type of kiss that is seen in movies where the lead and the love interest reunite after so much time apart. Time seemed to stop for the both of them; they were in their little world. Eventually, they had to stop because of the lack of oxygen now but when they pulled away, Yuta and Jaehyun looked at each other and giggled like they were high schoolers hiding their relationship from everyone.

“Oh right, the takeout,“ Jaehyun said dumbfounded but started to laugh so hard. Just hearing Jaehyun’s laugh and seeing Jaehyun's dimples makes Yuta feel like mush, and without thinking Yuta kissed both dimples.
“Jae could you heat the food for me too,” Yuta asked in his sweet puppy voice that he uses whenever he wants something, and Jaehyun being stupidly in love falls for it every time
“Of course,” Jaehyun said with no hesitation, and his ears might’ve been pink which didn’t go unnoticed by Yuta ‘he’s so cute, his ears are so honest’ yuta thought while smiling
While Jaehyun was busy heating their takeout, Yuta was busy re-organizing the blankets and pillows. “Yu foods ready” Jaehyun yelled out. Yuta let out a hum acknowledging Jaehyun
“Thanks, Jae” Yuta said while grabbing his plate of takeout and setting it on the small coffee table and getting himself comfortable.
While setting up the 1st episode, yuta kept noticing that Jaehyun was stealing glances at him, it got to a point where Yuta had to speak up “Jae why are you staring at me” Jaehyun let out a loud laughter, yuta forgot how much Jaehyun could sound like a 54-year-old when laughing. “Your hair looks flat, I'm so sorry but it’s too funny, I have a feeling you would look like that if you didn’t become an idol”
“That's rich coming from the guy that would look like his snl korea character in the Subway skit if he wasn't an idol”
“Ouch low blow honey, but do you think we would still end up together if we weren’t idols”
“Probably I would have studied abroad in Korea in college because I wanted to experience new things, but if we did go to the same college we would’ve dated because we both look like dorks,” said a laughing Yuta
“ but you look cute and I look like a complete loser in that subway skit,” said a pouting Jaehyun
“What if I like losers, then what,” yuta said while smirking
Jaehyun got quiet, ear colored red, he doesn't have a cheeky response, he lost this battle
Yuta played the first episode and Jaehyun kept making comments on how good Yuta’s acting is while having a mouth full of takeout. Yuta thinks it’s really cute, he kept stealing glances at Jaehyun and he finds it adorable that Jaehyun’s eyes are glued on the projector screen paying attention to every detail of Yuta’s acting.
When the ad break in the middle of the episode happened Jahyun dropped his fork and turned to Yuta and said “You look so hot”
Yuta laughed because even after 7 years Jaehyun knew how to surprise him and make him laugh “You just realized it, Jae, I'm offended”
“Of course you're hot, you’ve always been hot, I'm just saying you look really good in that ad break and your makeup looks flawless and-” Yuta cut off Jaehyun's speech with a kiss.
“I was just playing around Jae, I know you find me hot, you’re so fun to tease Jae”
The couple continues watching the drama and now they are on episode 2 which mainly focuses on Yuta and Dori. “Wow your and Dori’s character have so much chemistry I’m starting to wonder if this is a BL” Jaehyun jokes
“I know right many fans asked if this was actually a BL after the second episode aired”
“Kinda makes me feel jealous in a way, makes me feel like you and Dori had something going on,” Jaehyun said in a joking manner. It was supposed to be a joke but this just opened a whole new can of worms
“I can minimize the amount I talk to him if it makes you feel better,” Yuta said fast and in a panic
“Wait why I thought you two were friends”
“We are but if my friendship with Dori makes you think I'm cheating I'll gladly minimize the amount of time I talk to him”
“Wait YuYu I was just joking I know you two are only friends, babe I'm sorry if I made you think that I couldn’t trust you, it was only supposed to be a joke”
Yuta’s eyes started to water “I ruined everything again didn’t I” Yuta didn’t even let Jaehyun talk “I couldn’t even take a joke and now I’m crying again, I messed it up did-” before yuta could even finish his sentence Jaheyun stopped him
“YUTA” Jaehyun said a little louder
“Yeah”
“Yuta Im so so so sorry I made that joke and made you cry, no you didn’t mess anything up this is just another step into our relationship where we need to talk things out and not hold it in ok, so please stop crying, you look even more beautiful when you're smiling so show me your healing smile”
Yuta feels like he could cry from just Jaehyun's words and he wonders how he got so lucky, he has such an understanding boyfriend and a boyfriend that communicates.
The only way Yuta could respond is by giving Jaehyun his Healing smile, teeth out, and everything.
“Soooo CUTE,” Jaehyun said while pinching Yuta’s cheeks and kissing him on the mouth
“Now no more crying and more smiling, ok?”
“No more crying just smiles,” Yuta said giggling
Even with red eyes and hair messy, Yuta looks so perfect and beautiful and something snapped in Jaehyun
“YuYu I need to get something out of my closet so wait for me, ok”

Yuta whined a little feeling the loss of Jaehyun's warmth and weight on the futon but before he could think any further Jaehyun came back but he was holding something behind his back
“Jae what are you hiding,” yuta asked puzzled
that‘s when showed Yuta what he was hiding and it was a ring box it was fancier than a regular ring box but less extravagant than an engagement ring, but Yuta doesn’t know what to think Jaehyun spoke up
“Yuta my love, my one in a billion I love you so much it’s crazy but that’s not what I wanted to talk about I wanted to profess my undying love for you, I love how effortlessly beautiful you are even with red eyes and messy hair you are prettier than any woman. You are my anchor in this industry. Whenever I think about whether I should just quit, I realize I have you and you’ll always be there for me to pick up the broken pieces and put me together again, and continually love me. You are my Pride and joy I’m so happy for you, I'm so happy that go got these acting roles where you can showcase your talents, and I'm happy that you’re getting your solo, I wish one day I get to show you off and screams THIS IS MY HUSBAND’ but for now will you accept this promise ring and a sign that we’ll be together forever.”
Yuta should be crying but instead, he is smiling like an idiot and nodding profusely saying “Of course Jae, yes, yes, yes a million times yes I would love to have a promise ring, and I would love to marry you too, I love you so much Jaehyun”
Jaehyun slipped the ring onto Yuta’s ring finger. After the ring was put on Yuta lifted his hand to admire the ring. The ring is a beautiful rose with a tiny diamond in the center. “Now we need to get you a matching one Jae,” Yuta said grinning
“We could go get it tomorrow and show it off to the members”
“Oh my they’d be sick of us, they would yell at us to stop the PDA”
“But we won’t ever stop the pda right Yukkuri”
“Right we will never stop,” Yuta said in a daze still staring at his ring
“Hey Yuta,” Jaehyun said after a few minutes in a tone that made Yuta worry
“Yeah Jae what's wrong”
“Do you- do you want to move in together”
Yuta was shocked he lifted his head to see Jaehyun's pleading eyes
“Why all of a sudden Jae”
“Because I’ve been thinking wouldn’t it be cool if we could have movie night every night without disturbing the members and being all affectionate without being judged”
“That sounds like a great idea but we should plan it more and talk with the members and the company,” Yuta said in yawn while stretching his limbs inside the blankets
“Sounds like a great idea, wait Yuta”
“Yeah Jae what's up”
“I think we should clean up, we both finished our takeout and we could watch a Disney movie while cuddling and falling asleep, doesn’t that sound nice”
“You’re right Jae that does sound like a great idea, but your gonna have to wash the dishes and put away the table because I can’t risk damaging the ring,” Yuta said while pointing to his ring
“Of course honey, but Yuta are you gonna be like this when I propose with an even bigger ring?” Jaehyun said laughing knowing what expression Yuta had on right now. And Jaehyun was right Yuta was still a blushing mess by the time he returned.
“So what movie should we watch I was thinking of Aladdin,” said Jaehyun acting normal as if he didn’t just promise to get a bigger ring when he proposes
“That's a great idea I like that movie, that's my favorite Disney love story and I could outsing you during a whole new world’, now hurry up and get into the futon before I take all the blankets”
“ok, ok just wait and I’d like to see you try to out-sing me I’ve been preparing for this,” Jaehyun said while setting up the movie on the projector screen”
The couple did challenge each other to a battle to see who could sing a whole new world’ better but the challenge but so ended up with them singing a duet, getting out of the futon the dancing and acting dramatic. But now the couple were back in their futon cuddling
By the middle of the movie, the lights were already off and Jaehyun was now spooning Yuta while leaving soft kisses on his head/hair
“Yuyu” Jaehyun spoke up
“Yeah Jae,” said Yuta in a sleepy voice
“I love you,” said Jaehyun
Yuta turned around to face Jaehyun and kissed him while his eyes were yearning for sleep “Thank you Jaehyun I love you Too thank you for making my return special, I truly love you my prince I can't wait to be your groom one day”
The couple ended up sharing chaste kisses and some deep ones and forgetting all about the movie playing in the background. Forget Disney movies, Yuta and Jaehyun were already living in their fantasy.
The couple ended up kissing till they fell asleep and ending the night with ‘I love you’ The room was now dead silent because Jaehyun turned off the movie before they went to sleep, now the couple were dreaming of their future together while cuddling in a futon full of blankets, plushies, and pillows happier than ever.

The rest of 127 came back to the dorms after schedules and drinking and letting the couple be alone for a long time
“see I told you they were gonna be cuddling by the time we got here,” said Jungwoo in an enthusiastic voice still flushed red from the alcohol

“I hate these love birds, their pda makes me feel super single but I'm honestly happy for them, they have come such a long way from the cookie incident,” said Jungwoo and everyone agreed
“That cookie incident was so traumatizing for everyone, I'm glad they communicated and are now reaching their 7th anniversary,” said Mark looking happily at the couple sleeping
“Yuta and Jaehyun are that kind of couple that will raise 5 kids, and 3 dogs and live in a 2 story house honestly,” Taeyong said
“It’s what they deserve they have been through so much I'm excited to go to their wedding in the future, it’ll be super emotional for everyone,” Taeil said
As all the members left the doorway to go back to their separate rooms everyone is thinking the same thing and that is
