Chapter Text

Izuku Midoriya nervously adjusted his outfit in front of the mirror, preparing for the long-awaited date with Kyoka Jirou. He had finally gathered the courage to ask her out, and his excitement mixed with a touch of anxiety. As he gazed at his reflection, memories flooded his mind, taking him back to the day they first met.

It was a warm spring afternoon when Izuku, with a heart full of determination, approached Jirou during a school festival. He was drawn to her vibrant personality and the way her music resonated with his soul. Their encounter was brief, but it left an indelible mark on both of them.

Now, as he got ready for their special outing, Izuku found himself in front of his closet, sifting through his clothes. His eyes fell upon a long, dark blue coat with a striking red inner lining and a brown harness. The coat was a gift from his good friend Bakugou, who had a keen eye for style. It held sentimental value, reminding Izuku of their enduring friendship.

Underneath the coat, he wore a red zip-up hoodie/vest with two zippers, ensuring both comfort and style. A black shirt rested beneath the hoodie, completing his ensemble. Izuku's left wrist sported a red wristband secured by a small brown belt, a subtle accessory that held personal significance to him.

For his lower half, Izuku chose a pair of blue pants held up by a belt featuring a rose-shaped buckle. Over the pants, he adorned brown thigh straps with small belts, adding a touch of ruggedness to his attire. The ensemble was completed with brown boots, reaching halfway up his shins.

As Izuku took one last look in the mirror, his heart warmed with anticipation. He took a deep breath and stepped out of the room only to be blinded by the flash of his mother's camera. Inko Midoriya was a tall green haired woman whose hair had been pulled into a partial bun on the back of her head she lowered the camera with an impish expression on her face. Izuku waited till his eyesight returned to him before he said anything.

"Mom! Did you really have to burn my eyes out of my skull before my date?" Said Izuku. "Oh stop being so dramatic, Izuku! I just want to take a picture of my baby boy before his first date!" Said Inko Midoriya. "That and give you an early birthday gift." She showed him a pair of keys that made his eyes pop out of his head.

"Your giving me baby!"

"Well how else are you supposed to pick up your girl, a piggy back ride?"

Izuku snagged the keys and after a brief kiss to her cheek and a rushed "Love you, bye!" He ran to the parking space and hopped into his mother's old car, a classic 1967 Impala that held a special place in his heart. It was a vehicle passed down from his granduncle Dean Winchester, a cherished heirloom brimming with nostalgic memories. The engine roared to life as Izuku prepared to pick up Jirou for their long-awaited date.

With the windows rolled down, Izuku popped n a tape and turned up the volume, filling the air with the energetic melodies of Rock of the Ages. The familiar tunes reverberated through the streets as he drove, creating an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation.

As the music reached its crescendo, Izuku turned into Jirou's parking lot, timing his arrival to perfection. He pulled up near her, catching her attention with the impressive entrance. A warm smile adorned his face as he stepped out of the car, the music still playing in the background, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening.

Izuku's eyes sparkled as he took in Jirou's appearance, appreciating her unique style and confident aura. With a gentle wave, he greeted her warmly, a surge of happiness coursing through his veins.

"Hey, Jirou! You look amazing," he complimented, his voice laced with genuine admiration.

Jirou wore a stylish black top with a touch of edginess, paired with a comfortable pair of jeans that hugged her curves. Her short, dark hair framed her face, and she added a touch of boldness with a pair of silver earrings. Jirou completed her look with a leather jacket that added a hint of rebelliousness to her overall appearance.

They exchanged lighthearted banter as they settled into the car, the nostalgic ambiance creating a comfortable atmosphere between them. Izuku carefully drove them to a movie theater that happened to be featuring a pre-quirk era film called Constantine—a tale of supernatural beings and dark forces, a perfect choice for their shared love of the extraordinary.

In the dimly lit theater, Izuku and Jirou immersed themselves in the captivating story unfolding on the screen, losing themselves in the world of Constantine's supernatural battles. The movie offered them a glimpse into a different era, a reminder of the challenges faced by quirkless individuals like Jirou before the emergence of quirks in society.

After the film ended, they strolled hand in hand to a cozy cafe, where the scent of freshly brewed coffee and warm pastries enveloped them. As they settled into a quiet corner, their conversations flowed effortlessly, their connection deepening with each passing moment. They shared dreams, aspirations, and memories, forging a bond that went beyond the superficial.

After leaving the cafe with an autograph from Eraserhead (who knew he was into cat cafes?) Izuku and Jirou walked side by side, their footsteps echoing through the quiet night as they made their way home after an unexpected turn of events. The Impala, once a symbol of their journey, had come to a halt due to a lack of gas. Izuku swiftly called for a tow truck to have it safely taken back home.

Seeking a shortcut through a dimly lit alley, their peaceful walk took an abrupt and sinister turn. Without warning, a menacing presence materialized before them—the Blitz devil. Time seemed to slow as the air crackled with malevolence, and Izuku's instincts screamed danger.

In a split second, the Blitz lunged at them, its lightning-quick strikes aiming to crush their spirits. Jirou, caught in the crossfire, was struck in the middle, her body propelled into the unforgiving side of a dumpster. The impact left her dazed and injured, pain coursing through her body.

A surge of adrenaline coursed through Izuku as he witnessed the danger that befell Jirou. His left arm, ripped off just below the elbow, now a distant memory, triggered a profound transformation within him. The legacy of his devil lineage awakened, manifesting in the form of a new limb, what he would later call the Devil Bringer.

His head throbs in pain, and in the milliseconds between now, and his next set of actions, a voice echoes through his mind, saying, "Power… Give me… More… Power…!"

Instinctively, Izuku summoned a massive spectral arm by his side, crackling with otherworldly energy. With righteous fury fueling his every move, he unleashed a devastating punch that sent the Blitz reeling, staggering under the sheer force of his newfound power. The devil's taunts fueled Izuku's rage, demanding answers about his lineage.

Fueled by anger and resolve, Izuku confronted the Blitz, his voice trembling with raw determination. "Who or what are you?" he demanded. The Blitz's retort dripped with disdain, revealing fragments of a sinister truth. "That does not matter, Grandson of Sparda. More demons will come for you," it sneered. "And soon, you, the cunt who birthed you, and your little whore will beg us for the sweet taste of death!"

Izuku's blood boiled with a mix of rage and protectiveness, his heart aching with righteous fury at the vile words directed at his loved ones. The Blitz's callous insults pushed him over the edge, igniting a wrath that burned like a wildfire. "You can say what you want about me," he seethed, "but no one, and I mean no one EVER gets to call my mother and Jirou a cunt or a whore!"

In a fit of unbridled rage, Izuku unleashed his newfound powers upon the devil, and proceeded to beat him black and blue. He grabs him with his spectral arm by the demons leg and proceeds to slam the demon into the ground multiple times like a ragdoll, he channeled his fury into each slam until the Blitz lay defeated, vanquished under the rage of a pissed off boyfriend who loves his mama.

With the threat neutralized, Izuku's focus immediately turned to Jirou. Rushing to her side, he found a deep gash in her midsection, her life force slowly seeping away. Panic mingled with determination in his eyes as he swiftly scooped her up, cradling her fragile form in his arms.

Fear propelled him forward as he sprinted towards his home, the memories of his mother's medical equipment and expertise serving as a beacon of hope. Bursting through the front door, he laid Jirou gently on the living room couch, a desperate urgency driving his actions.

Drawing upon the knowledge imparted by his mother, Izuku set to work, providing Jirou with essential medical treatment to stabilize her condition. The air buzzed with a sense of purpose as he skillfully navigated the tools at his disposal.

Realizing that time was of the essence, Izuku made a bold decision. With a mixture of determination and sacrifice, he initiated a life-saving blood transfusion, unknowingly infusing Jirou with his own powers, a fateful exchange that would forever intertwine their destinies.

As the night wore on and Izuku kept a watchful eye over Jirou, he realized the gravity of the situation at hand. The need for assistance and guidance weighed heavily on his mind, prompting him to reach out to his trusted friend, Bakugou. Dialing his number, he anxiously awaited Bakugou's response.

On the other end of the line, Bakugou and his girlfriend Himiko were performing a Livestream and were engrossed in a heated game of Mortal Kombat, of which Bakugou was losing. The sounds of fierce battles filled the room as they unleashed their competitive spirits. Amidst the chaos of virtual combat, Bakugou's phone started to play Hey Brother by Avicii, briefly interrupting the mayhem.

Startled by the unexpected call, Bakugou quickly paused the game and cut the feed, his attention now fully focused on Izuku's voice resonating from the device. "Bakugou," Izuku began, his voice tinged with urgency, "I need your help. Something happened, and I'll explain everything when you get here."

Bakugou's eyebrows furrowed in concern, his mind racing with possibilities. Without hesitation, he agreed to come to Izuku's aid, promising a swift arrival. In his haste, he called for Himiko to join him, sensing that this was no ordinary situation.

Upon their arrival at Izuku's house, the atmosphere was heavy with anticipation. Stepping through the door, Bakugou's eyes widened as he took in the changes that had befallen his long-time friend. "Izuku, is that you?" he exclaimed, a mix of surprise and disbelief coloring his voice.

Izuku nodded, his eyes meeting Bakugou's, the weight of their shared history hanging in the air. "Yes, it's me," he replied, his voice laced with an unfamiliar sense of gravitas. Bakugou's sharp gaze couldn't help but notice the absence of Izuku's right arm and the striking transformation that had overtaken his appearance.

Bakugou's curiosity could no longer be contained as he blurted out, "What happened to your arm? And why is your hair smooth and white instead of the green bush we're used to?" It was a realization that even Izuku had not fully grasped until Bakugou mentioned it, prompting him to reach up and touch his now pale locks, a mixture of awe and confusion crossing his face.

Drawing a deep breath, Izuku proceeded to recount the harrowing events that had transpired in the alley, the encounter with the Blitz, and his subsequent transformation. He spoke of the Devil Bringer arm, his newfound powers, and the inexplicable connection he now shared with Jirou after the life-saving blood transfusion.

The room fell into a stunned silence as Bakugou and Himiko absorbed the weight of Izuku's revelations. The lines of trust and friendship that had been forged through countless trials were tested once again, as they grappled with the extraordinary reality unfolding before them.

Bakugou's mind raced with questions as he processed the astounding information shared by Izuku. Seeking clarity, he posed a series of concise questions, to which Izuku confirmed with a solemn nod.

With a determined expression, Bakugou leaned forward, his voice laced with a mixture of resolve and skepticism. "Well, if we're gonna end up running into more of these demons, I guess we better stock up on some Holy Water, and maybe a book on demonology." he declared, a hint of determination in his eyes. However, Izuku's response tempered their initial enthusiasm. "I know, but last I checked, we don't know anyone who can help us, and I don't think we can simply rely on folklore to discern truth from fiction, so while the demonology book is a good idea, it might take us months to find anything useful." Izuku stated, a touch of frustration evident in his voice.

Interrupting the tense silence, Himiko cleared her throat, drawing the attention of both Izuku and Bakugou. "I might know someone," she began, her words carrying a hint of excitement. "Her name is Reiko Yanagi, a classmate of mine who possesses knowledge about these supernatural matters. She's a hunter, someone who hunts the very creatures we're dealing with."

The revelation struck Izuku and Bakugou with a mix of astonishment and intrigue. Their eyes met, silently conveying their shared curiosity. "Who is she?" they both asked in unison, their eagerness palpable.

Himiko took a deep breath before continuing. "Reiko saved me from a Leviathan once," she revealed, the weight of her past experiences evident in her voice. "She taught me the ways of hunting, the trade itself." Bakugou couldn't contain his shock as he interjected, "When did this happen? And why didn't you tell us? And what the fuck is a Leviathan?"

A sense of gravity settled upon Himiko as she began to unravel the dark origins of the Leviathans. "The Leviathans are an ancient race of primordial monsters," she explained, her voice carrying a mixture of awe and caution. "They were God's first creations, predating angels, humans, and even the concept of the soul itself. However, their insatiable hunger and destructive nature proved to be too much, prompting God to lock them away in Purgatory."

Bakugou's disbelief was evident as he demanded an explanation. "Where did you learn all this?" he questioned, his voice tinged with curiosity and skepticism. Himiko's response left both Izuku and Bakugou stunned. "Reiko gave me a hunter's journal," she revealed, her words laden with profound significance. "Most hunters keep a journal, a logbook of their hunts, detailing what they've encountered and the lore surrounding each entity. The journal I possess once belonged to a man named John Winchester and was later passed down to his sons, Sam and Dean Winchester."

As Himiko's words hung in the air, Izuku's mind raced, connecting the dots in a moment of revelation. "Wait a moment," he interjected, his voice filled with awe and realization. "Dean Winchester, that's the name of my great granduncle, a previous owner of the family car!"

The revelation brought a surge of excitement and curiosity to the group. If the Impala truly had ties to the legendary Winchester family, it could hold valuable resources for their newfound journey. Himiko's eyes sparkled with anticipation as she shared another piece of crucial information. "If it is indeed Dean Winchester's car," she began, her voice brimming with certainty, "then the trunk should have a false bottom. There could be a stash of tools and resources specific to the hunter's trade."

Driven by a newfound purpose, they wasted no time in investigating the car's hidden compartment. With careful precision, they uncovered the false bottom in the trunk, revealing an array of meticulously organized tools. Bakugou's eyes gleamed with satisfaction as he surveyed the collection. "Well, we have the tools and a guidebook," he declared, his voice resonating with determination. "All we need now is to learn the dos and don'ts of this job."

Himiko nodded in agreement, her focus already shifting towards the next step of their plan. "I'll contact Reiko in the morning," she announced, her voice filled with a sense of purpose. "Once we have her guidance, we can get a jump on this after a good night's sleep."

With their priorities set, they closed the trunk and made their way back inside. The weight of their newfound knowledge and the challenges that lay ahead settled upon their shoulders, but their determination burned bright.

As they entered the house, Jirou stirred from her slumber, her eyes fluttering open. The concern in Izuku's eyes turned into relief as he rushed to her side. "Jirou, you're awake," he said softly, a mixture of worry and affection coloring his voice. "You had us all worried."

Jirou mustered a weak smile, her gaze shifting between the familiar faces surrounding her. "What happened?" she asked, her voice filled with a mix of confusion and pain.

Izuku gently brushed a strand of hair from her face, his voice filled with tenderness. "You were hurt, but you're safe now," he assured her, relief washing over him. "We're here for you, Jirou."

With those words of comfort, they settled into the night, seeking rest and rejuvenation, knowing that the path before them would demand their unwavering resolve.

Chapter 2 - Part 4: Izuku Explains

As the weight of the recent events settled upon them, Jirou's memory gradually returned, and she began to piece together the fragments of the intense encounter with the demon. Her gaze shifted to Izuku, her eyes widening as she took in the physical changes that had occurred. She observed the red-scaled limb pulsating with an otherworldly energy and the smooth, white hair that now adorned his head. Confusion mingled with concern in her eyes as she struggled to comprehend the extent of Izuku's transformation.

Sensing her apprehension, Izuku's heart raced with fear of rejection. He longed for Jirou's understanding, terrified that his altered appearance would drive a wedge between them. With bated breath, he awaited her response.

Jirou mustered the strength to speak, her voice laced with a mix of curiosity and caution. "Izuku, what happened to you?" she asked, her gaze focused on his extraordinary limb. "And this...this new arm, it feels...human."

Relief washed over Izuku as her words offered a glimmer of hope. He took a deep breath, finding solace in her acceptance. "Jirou, I...I don't fully understand it myself," he confessed, his voice filled with sincerity. "But we're going to speak with an expert that Himiko knows tomorrow. They might have the answers we seek."

Jirou nodded, her expression filled with a mixture of trust and determination. "Okay, Izuku," she replied softly, reaching out to touch his new limb gently against her cheek. "It feels human to me."

The warmth of Jirou's touch and her acceptance brought a wave of comfort to Izuku's heart. He smiled, gratitude shining in his eyes. "Thank you, Jirou," he whispered, his voice filled with appreciation. "We'll get through this together."

Bakugou and Toga, who had been quietly observing the interaction, couldn't resist the opportunity to tease their friends. They shared mischievous grins and began to sing in unison, their playful voices filling the air:

"Izuku and Jirou, sitting in a tree.

K-I-S-S-I-N-G!"

Laughter filled the room, a lighthearted moment amid the uncertainties that lay ahead. It served as a reminder of the unbreakable bond between friends, a force that would guide them through the trials to come.

With the night still young, Izuku gently urged Jirou to get some rest. "Try to sleep, Jirou," he encouraged, his voice filled with a soothing warmth. "Tomorrow, we'll seek guidance from the expert Himiko knows. I promise we'll find the answers we need."

As they settled down, a sense of determination and hope filled the room, intertwining their fates in a shared journey of discovery.
