Work Text:
Katsukiprided himself on wearing pants. And those were some cool pants, not low-grade sweatpants ts. No, his closet was full of real deal pants that could easily be worn by army officers and special forces. Sturdy, allowing for movement, classy pants. He would never stoop so low as to wear shorts, those belonged on kids and weaklings that didn’t know better.
He wore the pants around the house too, just for the record. His partner was strong and smart in his own right, but he lacked the drive to step up and rule. And he was overthinking the minutest of details. Katsuki was the quick, efficient solution guy. Well, usually. Most of the time. He just so happened to be lenient and discuss stuff over with his partner or let him make decisions. If Deku was so inclined tWhich was a lot, actually.
Anyway, bottom line, Bakugo wore pants, okay. That’s the important part.
The nerd, on the other hand, was prone to prance around the house in pajama bottoms or boxers during summer. Or those damn shorts if he was going out. Not that Katsuki complained, he could wear shorts all he liked in public. It was preferable to his other wardrobe options for summer bottom wear.
Well, Katsuki didn’t mind his other summer wear options. He just didn’t enjoy the idea of others being privy to the picture.
And, speaking of which…
Bakugo blinked and shifted on his bed, waking up from a power nap. He was going to be up for the better part of the night running around the hot and humid streets of Tokyo. He shifted his head towards the opened door, wondering briefly if there was any air movement due to all the doors in the apartment being ajar. It didn’t feel like there was any breeze of relief.
From where he lay he had the perfect view into the room opposite to his bedroom, which was his partner’s. And, judging by the noises coming from there, he was home from work. As Katsuki stared at a half of a wardrobe and a bookshelf visible through the door, he saw a shadow move across the furniture. Then a damp towel soared across the room and landed on the door handle, dangling precariously. Then Izuku stepped in his line of sight, wild hair wet and looking even messier than usual, a cheerful expression on his face. He wasn’t wearing pants. He wasn’t wearing anything else than black boxers. Katsuki greatly appreciated the view.
Well, at least until his partner turned towards the wardrobe, going through his shirts.
“Aaargh, what’s that!?”
“Eh?” the other man glanced over his shoulder at him and blinked. Katsuki pointedly stared at his ass. Where a picture of Mt Lady was printed on his choice of garment. “What’s wrong?”
“I can’t believe you wear that under your costume,” Katsuki shielded his eyes from the abominable print with his forearm.
“Hey, those were on sale,” the nerd said it as if it was a point in favor of the underpants. Well, Katsuki could agree, those looked cheap.
“It’s just boxers,” Izuku shrugged off the wince he gave him.
“Can’t you change or something?” he asked. He had a few hours before he was due to leave home and had hoped to spend some time with his partner. “I can’t look at you in that.”
“Okay,” Izuku snickered, which wasn't a good sign. “Would you prefer I don my All MIght ones instead?”
No. He didn’t just imply… Did he have All Might underwear??
If there was someone who would have that, Katsuki realized in abject terror, his partner would be that person.
With a strangled cry that may or may not be a curse, Katsuki dragged his pillow over his head, and tried to cut off the slew of mental images. All he achieved was cutting off his air supply for a long moment before someone pulled at one side of the pillow. He glared towards the light and a pair of mischievously sparkling green eyes. Seeing that he had his attention, Izuku grinned and put in front of his face a piece of clothing. This one was questionably adorned with a print of Hawks with his eyes crossed.
“There were five in the package, all with older generation pros,” he informed in obvious amusement..
“Just go dress!” Katsuki threw the pillow at the airhead’s head. Izuku fell over on his carpet, bursting out laughing and Katsuki glared at him from the height of his bed looking not unlike a cat that had been sprayed with water.
